Purpose - Present study investigates character identification and emotional response to character that may affect consumers' intention to purchase the character-attached products. And this study explores whether symbolic relevance and object relevance affect the character identification, and whether character attractiveness and character salience affect the emotional response to characters. Research design, data, and methodology - SNS characters, animated characters, game characters, and traditional characters were used as experimental characters. And stationery as experimental product was used. 250 college students participated in the empirical study, and structural equation model was used to verify hypotheses. Results - First, the character identification and emotional response to characters affected the intention to purchase the products positively, and the emotional response to characters also positively affected character identification; second, symbolic relevance had no positive impact upon character identification, while object relevance had positive influence on character identification; and third, character attractiveness and salience had a positive effect on the emotional response. Conclusions - Present study contributes to the progress of character theories. Marketers should find ways to increase consumers’ object relevance to characters and the level of characters' attractiveness and salience in order to promote the intent to purchase the products.
The Simulation Study of Circulating Tumor Cells Collection using Electrophoresis Method
( Guo-hao Lu ),( Deng-chyang Wu ),( Chao-wang Young ) 한국농업기계학회 2018 한국농업기계학회 학술발표논문집 Vol.23 No.1
Cancer is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide. The most method in the treatment of cancer is early detection, and the concentration of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in the peripheral blood is the important factor. CTCs are cells that have shed into the vasculature or lymphatic from a primary cancer cells and are carried around the body in the circulation system. CTCs thus constitute seeds for the subsequent growth of additional tumors in vital distant organs, triggering a mechanism that is responsible for the vast majority of cancer-related deaths. CTCs also have the potential to provide a mechanism for early patient prognoses and to determine appropriate tailored treatments. In this study, the technologies of electrophoresis and micro-flow channel were used to separate two different size (20μm, 10μm) particles (simulate as CTCs and normal cells), for collecting sufficient concentration of CTCs from the patient peripheral blood. Results show that this electrophoresis method can separate effectually two different size particles, under the field of dielectric electrophoresis (1MHz, 10Vpp),theinjectionflow(0.5μl/min) and solution conductivity (430μs/cm) in self-made micro-flow channel.

<P>The GenBank/EMBL/DDBJ accession number for the 16S rRNA gene sequence of strain DCY69(T) is JX233806. A Gram-reaction-negative, oxidase- and catalase-positive, non-gliding motile strain, designated strain DCY69(T), was isolated from the soil of a ginseng field in the Republic of Korea. Colonies of strain DCY69(T) were circular, 0.5-1.5 mm diameter, yellow, and convex on an R2A agar plate after 2 days. Phylogenetic analyses based on 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that strain DCY69(T) belonged to the genus Flavobacterium with 90.5-98.3% gene sequence similarity. The major predominant quinone was MK-6. The major cellular fatty acids were iso-C15:0, iso-C17:0 3-OH, iso-C15:0 3-OH and summed feature 3 (containing C16:1ω7c and/or C16:1ω6c). The major polar lipids were phosphatidylethanolamine, one unidentified aminolipid and unidentified polar lipids (L1, L2). The genomic DNA G+C content of strain DCY69(T) was 35.0mol%. The strain DCY69(T) transformed ginsenoside Rb1 into Rd and F2. Based on the polyphasic taxonomic data, strain DCY69(T) is considered to represent a novel species of the genus Flavobacterium, for which the name Flavobacterium panaciterrae sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is DCY69(T)(= KCTC 32392(T) = JCM 19161(T)), isolated from the soil of a ginseng field in the Republic of Korea.</P>
The Design of an Intelligent Aquaculture Systsm Based on Iot and Lora Technologies
( Yun-hsiang Tang ),( Xiang-guan Deng ),( Ming-yen Lin ),( Yi-jung Pai ),( Chao-wang Young ) 한국농업기계학회 2018 한국농업기계학회 학술발표논문집 Vol.23 No.1
In Taiwan, the export-oriented economy of traditional aquaculture is faced with the harshest conditions, such as environmental pollution, diseases and drug overdose. In addition, the traditional aquaculture fields are usually open-air for costing a lot on employing labors. Consequently, it is necessary to set up an intelligent aquaculture system for solving the above problems effectively. This study which was based on these technologies of internet of things (IoT), cloud computing and Long Range Low Power Wide Area Network (LoRa LPWAN), was designed a daily management system for auto-controlling on production planning, energy conservation and reducing labor costs. The users can operate this system which can both monitor the water quality and control these real-time aquaculture parameters (temperature, pH, illuminance and electrical conductivity) by simply using the remote user interface. This system is a modular design that is user-friendly and portable. After all, we expect that it will be great helpful to construct an automatic control platform for improving aquaculture efficiency in future.
