Estimation for the Exponentiated Half Logistic Distribution Based on type I Hybrid Censored Samples

In this paper, we derive statistical inference on the shape parameter for the exponentiated half logistic distribution when samples are type I hybrid censored samples. The shape parameter is estimated by the Bayesian method (under square error loss function and linex loss function). We consider conjugate prior and corresponding posterior distribution is obtained. We also obtain the maximum likelihood estimator (MLE) of the shape parameter under the type I hybrid censored samples. We compare the estimators in the sense of the root mean square error (RMSE). The simulation procedure is repeated 10,000 times for the sample size n = 20, 30, 40 and various type I hybrid censored samples. The Bayes estimators under the linex loss function is better than their corresponding MLEs and Bayes estimators under the square error loss function. Further an illustrative example with the real data is presented.

Approximate maximum product spacings estimation of exponential distribution under multiply hybrid censored data

Under classical estimation set up, the maximum product spacings (MPS) method is quite effective and several authors advocated the use of this method as an alternative to maximum likelihood (ML) method, and found that this estimation method provides better estimates than ML estimates in various situations. In this paper, we propose the estimators of the parameter of the exponential distribution (ExDst) under multiply hybrid censoring scheme (MHCS). First, we derive the ML estimator (MLE) and MPS estimator (MPSE) for the parameter of ExDst. Also, we derive the approximate MPSEs for the parameter of ExDst using Talyor series expansion. And we compare the proposed estimators in the sense of mean squared error (MSE) and bias under MHCS. Finally, the validity of the proposed methods are demonstrated by a real data.

The interpersonal psycho-social problems and burdens have increased in weight due to multiple changes in modern society and the lack of national and professional measures to support them. Further more, the functional diminishment of the family and other traditional social groups have resulted in the isolation of the person. As the consequence of this; people with difficulties to solve their physical, economical, social and psychological problems on their own have formed self-help groups in order to aid their difficulties as a group. This not only represent a solution for their problems, it also represents the awaken conscience of their social rights and the assurance of their social participation. There for it is certain that the support and the promotion of self-help groups will occupy and important place in the future society and in its health policy. Unfortunately, the support or policies for self-help groups in Korea seem to be almost non-existent; in addition there is also almost no basic self-help Infrastructure. It is for that reason that the german self-help support model is very suggestive. The objective of this thesis is to take measures for support and development of self-help groups for the upcoming days of Korea. To accomplish this, german documents related to self-help groups will be examined and a sample investigation on the korean self-help groups current situation will be made. Based on this a comparison will be made on self-help groups for disable people in both countries and examine the needs, problems and effectiveness according to the activities of the participants of self-help groups in both countries. Further more, the efforts for self-help groups support in Germany will be presented as self-help support model in Korea in order to make a realistic proposal for the self-help development in Korea. In the view of this, to satisfy the most urgent need in Korea we need to implement and expand basic and specific infrastructure for self-help support, to constantly expand the self-help friendly image in society and equip ourselves with basic primary statistics on self-help groups. 현대사회에서 나타난 다양한 사회적 변화들과 이에 대한 국가적, 전문적 지원체계의 미흡 등으로 개인심리적 부담과 문제점들은 점차 가중되었다. 더욱이 가족을 비롯한 전통적 사회지지체계의 기능약화는 개인을 더욱 고립시키기에 이르렀으며, 결국 개개인의 힘으로 대처하기 어려운 신체적, 경제적, 사회적, 심리적 문제들에 당사자들이 공동으로 대처하고자 하는 자조모임이 활성화되기 시작하였다. 이는 곧 당사자들의 당면문제 해결 뿐만 아니라, 그들의 사회적 권리에 대한 자각임과 동시에 사회참여를 보장하는 하나의 틀로서 중대한 의미를 갖는다. 따라서 자조와 자조모임에 대한 지원과 촉진은 앞으로의 사회 및 건강복지정책에서도 중요한 역할을 할 것임에 틀림없다. 그러나 한국에서의 자조모임지원이나 정책은 거의 전무한 것으로 보이며, 그런 만큼 우선적인 자조지원인프라의 구축이 매우 절실하다. 이런 점에서 독일에서의 자조지원모델은 우리에게 시사하는 바가 크다. 이에 본 논문은 향후 한국에서의 자조모임 발전과 그의 지원책을 강구하는 데에 그 목적이 있으며, 이를 위해서 우선 독일의 자조관련 문헌들을 고찰하고 한국의 자조모임 현황을 사례연구를 통해 알아보며, 이를 바탕으로 양국 장애인 자조모임에 대한 양적연구와 그에 따른 비교 연구를 시행함으로써 양국 참가자들의 자조모임활동에 따른 효과성 인식과 문제점, 지원욕구 등을 살펴본다. 아울러 한국의 자조지원을 위한 모델로서 독일의 자조모임지원 동향을 살펴봄으로써 논문의 목적에 부합하는 보다 실질적인 한국의 자조발전을 위한 제언을 구하고자 한다. 이를 통해 보았을 때, 현재 한국의 자조영역에서는 친자조적 사회인식의 (지속적) 확대, 자조모임에 대한 최소한의 기본통계 확보, 자조 및 자조모임 지원을 위한 기본 인프라 구축 등이 시급한 과제로 보인다.

장애인의 인적 및 사회문화적 자본이 경제적 자립과 생활만족도에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 장애인의 인적, 사회문화적 자본이 경제적 자립과 생활만족도에 미치는 영향력과 상호 인과관계를 밝히는 데 목적을 갖고 실증 분석하였다. 그 결과를 종합하면 전체적으로 인적 자본은 경제적 자립에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고, 사회문화적 자본 또한 경제적 자립과 생활만족도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면 인적 자본이 생활만족도에 미치는 영향력과 경제적 자립이 생활만족도에 미치는 영향은 기각됨으로써 인적 자본만으로 바로 생활의 활력소가 되지 못하고, 또한 경제적 자립만으로 바로 생활만족도를 높여주는 기제로서 상호관계성은 갖지 않음을 확인하였다. 본 결과를 바탕으로 실용적이고 다변화된 인적 및 사회문화적 연계망 활성화를 논하였다. This study is intended to look into the effects of human, social and cultural capitals on economic independence and life satisfaction in disabled persons, and the reciprocal relationships. To achieve this, a survey was empirically carried out to the disabled. The findings were summarized as follows. As for the above-stated findings, human capital had a positive effect on economic independence, and social and cultural capitals had a positive effect on economic independence and life satisfaction, comparing those with rejection of the effect of human capital on life satisfaction and the effect of economic independence on life satisfaction. Consequently, human capital is not just a tonic for disabled persons' life, and economic independence has not just a reciprocal relationship as a mechanism to improve life satisfaction. Based on this result, we discussed the activation for practical and diverse human, social and cultural networking.

A Study on the Concept and Value of Self-Determination for People with Developmental Disabilities

In Korea, the issue of self-determination and rights of people with disabilities is very important. In recent years, the social atmosphere for the self-determination, choice, and rights advocacy of people with developmental disabilities has increased. As a result, various issues related to people with developmental disabilities and social awareness about policy making are increasing. Progress has been made in the social movement related to people with developmental disabilities, including the enactment of laws to promote and guarantee the rights of people with developmental disabilities. Nevertheless, there is still a lack of understanding and social prejudice about people with developmental disabilities. Therefore, this study intends to examine the basic concepts and values of self-determination of people with developmental disabilities, from a general perspective on self-determination of people with disabilities. Through this, we intend to identify its importance and significance and to provide a basis for establishing value.
