Mobility of structural foundations for shipboard equipments has a crucial design factor for developing advanced marine vessels, such as cruise ships, naval ships, and offshore structure, in terms of vibration and noise control. In this study, a mobility of a structural foundation for a shipboard diesel generator has been quantitatively assessed with the methods based on a finite element method and an empirical formula. For this purpose, the assessment procedures with finite element analysis and empirical formula have been summarized. Mobilities of structural foundations for a shipboard diesel generator have been numerically estimated by the methods. The results have been compared with those of impact tests for real ship structures.

Mary Tudor, the daughter of Henry Ⅷ and Catherine of Aragon, was brought up as heir to the throne, but was harshly treated by Henry Ⅷ after his divorce from Catherine. Mary was forced to sign a declaration acknowledging the union of her parents to have been illegal and rejecting the papal authority. But after the death of her half-brother, Fdward Ⅵ in 1553, She gained popular support and was proclaimed queen Mary Ⅰ. Her reign started by acts of clemency toward her enemies. Parliament asserted her legitimacy and repealed the antipapal laws which had been made under the reign of Henry Ⅷ, and England was absolved by the pope through Reginald Cardinal Pole, returning from exile as special ambassador of the Pope. Facing the strong popular opposition, MA교 Ⅰ announced her plan of marrying Felipe of Spain, the son of her cousin Emperor Karl Ⅴ, in 1554. Revolts broke out in England, and Sir Thomas Wyatt marched his troops form Kent to London before he failed. As a result, the queen's half sister, Elizabeth was imprisoned, but was released a few months later. The old laws against heresy laws were revived in 1555, and a stern persecution of the protestants began. Mary Ⅰ, embittered by her early life, by her marital difficulties with Felipe of Spain, and by her ill health, must bear a considerable responsibility for the burning of nearly 300 persons at the stake which gave her the nickname "Bloody Mary" Among the executed were famous Protestant bishops including Hugh Iatimer, Thomas Cranmer, and NicholasaRidley. Because of the influence of Felipe Ⅱ, England took part in the war between Spain and France in 1557, in spite of her poor financial condition. The loss of Calais to the French in 1558 proved to be the final blow in Mary's unhappy life. The Marian Reaction Betrays an intellectual and religious sterility uncharacteristic of the Catholic Reformation then prevailing in many parts of Furope. Mary Ⅰ could not Restore Catholicism England as she had dreamed. When the queen and Pole died in 1558 the Catholic cause stood in utter disarray. Tired of Catholic fanaticism and of Spanish influence, nearly of the people welcomed the accession of the Princess of Elizabeth who was to settle the religious problems based upon English interests.

Many European institutions and companies are developing ceramic filters which can substitute particulates and gas removal devices currently in use and which are believed to be the control devices of next generation. Because of their resistance to both chemical and thermal shocks, Ceramic filter system alone can remove particulates and gaseous air pollutants simultaneously without compulsory cooling systems, thus reducing installation and operating cost significantly. In this research, there is developed and tested, which is catalyst impregnated ceramic filters applicable to simultaneous removal of particulates and gaseous air pollutants. Emission standards of air pollutants are getting stringent and the market share of air pollutants control devices in Korea is projected up to 800 billion won by the year 2002 and low density ceramic filter system can substitute electrostatic precipitators and conventional bag filter systems significantly. catalyst doped ceramic filter were believed to be the most promising technology which can substitute particulates and gaseous pollutants removal devices in the near future.

Purpose: The purpose of this case study was to investigate the effect of the 10 weeks of aerobic or combined exercise on facial skin condition and subjective well-being in college students. Methods: The study was conducted for 16 weeks (baseline 3 weeks, exercise intervention 10 weeks, exercise withdrawal 3 weeks) with two males and two females. One male and female participated in only aerobic exercise and the other male and female participated in combined exercise.. Results: The results of the Excel program showed that in the facial skin of all participants, the moisture content was increased and the sebum content was decreased in the exercise intervention stage compared to the baseline. The moisture content was decreased and the sebum content was increased at the exercise withdrawal stage, The positive affect which is a sub-factor of the subjective well-being was gradually increased while the negative affect was decreased over time during the exercise interventions. The life satisfaction, another sub-factor of the subjective well-being, was also found to be increased over time during the exercise interventions. Conclusion: Both of aerobic and combined exercise had positive effects on the skin health and the subjective well-being that were not directly correlated.

저밀도 세라믹 필터의 특성 및 내구성에 관한 연구

This study was Designed to examine the applicability of low density ceramic filters to actual processes through long term experiment to reveal the characteristics ceramic filter, durability against thermal and mechanical shocks. The experiment was also conducted at 600℃ and 300℃. 1m long low density ceramic filter with 60㎜ outer diameter and 10㎜ thickness was tested with dust collected from cokes process of P-steel. Collection efficiency ranged 99.98∼99.99% and conditioning was completed after 150∼200hrs. Resistance coefficients of filters range 5.9×10^10 at 600℃, 1.2×10^10 at 300℃. Long term experiments show that conditioning was completed after 155 hours of test at 300℃ and 165 hours at 600℃ with high collections efficiencies. Also tested filters show mechanical stabilities at different particulate feed rates ranging 0.5g/min to 1.0g/min. Results show that tested filters can be applied to commercial processes with one year guarantee.

The lst Duke of Somerset (1506-1552), protector of England, held virtually royal power for two years (1547-9) during the minority of Edward Ⅵ. Born Edward Seymour, he became the lst Earl of Hertford in 1537 and the lst Duke of Somerset in 1547. The son of a Wiltshire nobleman, he was the brother of Jane Seymour, Henry Ⅷ's third wife. A favoured courtier, he held a series of royal appointments and rose in the peerage. He also commanded a force in Scotland and was the most prominent man in the kingdom at the time of Henry's death in 1547. Having secured the protectorship and been created duke under the reign of Edward Ⅵ, Somerset sought to implement his own policies, notably union with Scotland and radical Protestant reforms. His religious policies including those of religious uniformity and royal supremacy and his anti-Catholic view on the Eucharist were the aspects of his protestant ideas. But his exercise of the royal supremacy of the King Edward Ⅵ to secularize church property antagonized the Catholics. Discontent over these policies, combined with agrarian unrest, led to the rise of his enemies. The Earl of Warwick had him arrested and false charge of treason in 1549. Somerset was executed on January 22, 1552. But his protestant ideas and radical reforms influenced the future development of English Reformation.
