Primary oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) associated with dental osseointegrated implants is very rare. We experienced twopatients who had received dental implant surgery before they were diagnosed with OSCC. We report these cases to emphasize theimportance of differential diagnosis of malignant lesions associated with dental implants. Additionally, we also suggest that bone graftmaterials around implants can serve as a potential inducer of invasiveness in cancer cells.
연립방정식모형과 경로모형을 이용한 종합병원의 원가동인 분석

The purpose of this empirical study is to test hypotheses in order to identify the cost drivers that drive indirect costs in general hospitals in Korea. In various cases studies, it has been suggested that overhead costs are driven by volume and complexity variables, how they are structurally related and how the cost impacts of these variables can be estimated in practice. A unique feature of the research is the treatment of complexity as an endogenous variable. It is hypothesized that level of hospital complexity in terms of the number of services provided(i.e., “breath” complexity) and the intensity of individual services(i.e., “depth” complexity) are simultaneous determined with the level of overhead costs needed to support the complexity. Data used in this study were obtained from the Database of Korean Health Industry Development Institute, Health Insurance Review Agency and analyzed using simultaneous equation model, path model. The results found those volume and complexity variables are all statistically signi- ficance drivers of general hospital overhead costs. This study has documented that the level of service complexity is a significant determinant of hospital overhead costs, caution should be exercised in interpreting this as supportive of the cost accounting procedures associated with ABC.

As Cho-Son had difficulty in the preservation of national prestige owing to the growth or power of the western countries after the opening of a port, both government andmany pioneers promoted the enlightenment movement for our strenuous efforts. The enlightened ideology, which was founded on the ideological system derived from the korean historical conditions, was formed and developed by the influence of enlightened ideology and Japanese cultural enlightenment ; the enlightened party, which was formed after that, pushed forward the enlightenment policy actively. The enlightened parties developed the modernized system and many kinds of facilities, sent the students for studying abroad, established many schools, published magazines and so on ; further more they sent many Ryoung - Son missionaries and Shin - Sa sightseeing parties for the development of the modern commercial and industrial business and on the other hand they made efforts to develop establishment of companies and the industrial development. Thus the popular enlightenment was made diversely.
Pediatric 16-slice CT Protocols: Radiation Dose and Image Quality

Purpose: To assess radiation dose and image quality of our pediatric 16-slice CT protocols and to compare them with published standards. Materials and Methods: For 540 weight-based pediatric 16-slice CT examinations in six anatomic regions, CTDIvol, DLP, effective dose, and image noise were determined. Two radiologists evaluated the visual quality of CT images by consensus. We analyzed the relationship of CTDIvol and image noise with body diameter. Our results were compared with published data. Results: The average CTDIvol (mGy), DLP (mGy·cm), effective dose (mSv), and image noise (HU) were as follows: 4.1/125.5/1.6/16.2 for chest CT, 3.3/54.2/1.2/13.7 for heart CT, 5.8/256.6/3.8/13.0 for abdomen-pelvis CT, 6.8/318.7/5.9/12.0 for dynamic abdomen CT, 3.5/86.2/0.35/7.9 for neck CT and 25.4/368.0/1.6/3.7 for brain CT, respectively. All CT images were diagnostic upon visual analysis. The CTDIvol and image noise were proportional to body diameter. Our dose parameters were comparable to the first quartile of the cited German survey, whereas image noise in our study was similar to published data. Conclusion: Our pediatric CT dose is at the lower end of published standards and our image noise can be used as a target noise for each protocol in developing better pediatric multi-slice CT protocols.

마제부신은 양측 부신의 내측 변연이 융합되어 있는 드문 선천성 기형으로, 흔히 심혈관계, 신경계, 비뇨생식기계 기형을 동반하는 것으로 보고 되었다. 저자들은 마제부신과 잘 동반되는 심혈관계 기형 중 하나인 우이성체가 있는 신생아에서 초음파로 진단된 마제부신을 경험하였기에, 이를 보고하고자 한다. Horseshoe adrenal gland is a rare congenital abnormality associated with multiple congenital anomalies that may involve the cardiovascular, central nervous, and genitourinary systems. In this report, we describe the sonographic findings of horseshoe adrenal gland in a newborn with right isomerism a frequently associated cardiovascular anomaly.

This study investigated how much EVA which evaluate firm's value can explain hospital bankruptcy prediction as a explanatory variable including financial indicators in Korea. In this study, artificial neural network and logit regression which are traditional statistical were used as the model for bankruptcy prediction. Data used in this study were financial and economic value added indicators of 34 bankrupt and 34 non-bankrupt hospitals from the Database of Korean Health Industry Development Institute. The main results of this study were as follows: First, there was a significant difference between the financial variable model including EVA and the financial variable model excluding EVA in pre-bankruptcy analysis. Second, EVA could forecast bankruptcy hospitals up to 83% by the logistic analysis. Third, the EVA model outperformed the financial model in terms of the predictive power of hospital bankruptcy. Fourth, The predictive power of neural network model of hospital bankruptcy was more powerful than the logit model. After all the result of this study will be useful to future study on EVA to evaluate bankruptcy hospitals forecast.
