      • 家蠶 腎臟形卵에 있어서 遺傳子의 發現機構 : 특히 未受精卵을 中心으로

        This studf was carried out to investigate the elucidation of gene expression in embryo formation of the Kidney mutant, especially yolk proteins in unfertilized eggs and template activity of m·RNA extracted from them. The results were summarized as follows: There was no recognized qualitative difference in yolk proteins of unferilized eggs between the Kidney mutant and normal. There was not any difference, between Kidney mutant and normal in the molecular species of m-RNA derived from maternal origin with the template activity in vitro.

      • 種繭의 保護溫度가 蠶蛾의 産卵性에 미치는 影響

        The study is conducted to clarify the difference of oviposition ability of the silkworm mother moths sampled from race, Bombyx mori. which had been preserved in various temperatures in pupal stages. The results obtained are summarized as fellows; The number of mature eggs and the ration of total eggs laid in low temperature preservation in the preceeding term of the pupal stage are higher than those in high temperature preservation. Among the treatments the high and low temperature in the late term of pupal stage revealed the worst results. Ratio of normally oviposited eggs is exceedingly low if kept at low temperature in previous term and it is higher in the Chinese race than in the Japanese. However preservation temperatures affected not only oviposition ability, but states of egg laying. Ratio of unfertilized eggs is higher at low and high temperature during the pupal period and low temperature is more effective than high temperature in previous term. Correlation between the number of mature eggs in oviduct and normally oviposited eggs is high significance in every races and every treatments.

      • 家蠶 賢臟形卵의 卵殼蛋白質 解析

        卵形異常 突然變異體인 賢臟形卵은 異常卵形을 나타낼 뿐 아니라 卵殼構造에 있어서도 部位特異性이 인정도었다. 이와같은 부위특이적인 난각구조와 卵殼蛋白質과의 관계를 밝히기 위하여 2次元 電氣泳動法에 의한 解析을 試圖하였다. 賢臟形卵의 卵殼蛋白質은 正常卵의 그것과 質的 및 量的으로 거의 차이를 인정할 수 없었다. 또한 卵殼構造에 있어서는 腹面部側卵殼으로부터 몇 개의 微量成分 檢出되었으나 大部分의 蛋白質成分에 있어서 質的 및 量的으로 差異는 거의 인정할 수 없었다. 따라서 賢臟形卵의 特異卵形 및 卵殼構造의 形成에 관여하는 特異的인 chorion蛋白質 成分은 認定할 수 없었다. In the preceding works, scanning electron microscopy revealed the areal specific structure in ventral side region in kidney mutant chorion, Bombyx mori. These morphological specific structures in chorion in kidney egg occur at the choriongenic stages, and they must be intimately connected with the modification of chorion synthesis, secretion, accumulation and architecture. More than eighty-specific polypeptides of kidney chorion have been resolved by two-dimensional gel electrophoresis. There are hardly differences between the whole chorion of normal and kidney mutant. However, several minor components are found in the ventral side of kidney chorion These components are very small and quite changeable in electrofocusing. The evidence, areal specific chorion structures are related specific chorion protein components is not presented.

        한국산 멧누에나방(Bombyx mandarina M.)의 실내사육

        멧누에는 실내에서의 대량사육이 곤란한 것으로 알려져 왔으나 부화에서부터 100%가까운 다습상태와 $27^{\circ}C$전후의 고온사육조건에서 간단히 사육할 수 있었다. 실내사육결과 전령경과일수는 15~25일의 범위이며 대부분의 유충은 17일 전후이었다. 용화비율은 약40%이며 용기간은 암수모두 13~25일 사이였다. 또한 암수모두 2개의 우화최고점을 가지며 수컷이 암컷에 비해 2~3일정도 빨리 우화하였다. To establish the succeeding generations of wild silkworms, Bombyx mandarina Moore, massrearing was made in the laboratory. The rearing result was good under high humidity and moderately warm condition. Larval periods were 15 to 25 days and the most of larval period was around 17 days. The pupation rate and the pupal period of most of males and females were 40% and 13 to 25 days, respectively. There were two emergence peaks of males and females, and males emergence peak occurred two or three days faster than females.

      • 식성이상잠에 관한 연구 I. 광식성계통 Fb잠의 유래와 성상

        광식성계통 Fb잠은 1991년 춘잠기부터 양배추에 대한 섭식성을 기준으로 선발되었다. 선발 7세대째에 상엽분말을 전혀 함유하지 않은 합성사료에 의해 인공사료육을 실시하였으며 그 결과 양배추에 대한 섭식율은 급격히 증가하였다. 1994년 추기까지 14세대 동안 선발을 계속한 결과 95%이상의 양배추 섭식율을 나타냈다. 이 계통은 일반 인공사료뿐 만 아니라 수종의 채소류와 과일류에 대해서도 높은 섭식률을 나타냈으며, 견형질면에 있어서도 상당히 우수하였다. Studies were carried out to report breeding procedure and characteristics of Fb, a strain of silkworm with abnormal food habit polyphagous. Selection was continued up to the 14th generation toward higher incidence of cabbage leaves feeding variants. In the autumn of 1992(7th generation), selected strain were subjected to severe selection by feeding them on artificial diet that did not contain mulberry leaf powder. The results were clearly positive and reached to higher than 95% of cabbage feeding in the 14th generation. This strain was first discovered by feeding cabbage leaves, but later they were observed to eat some kind of plants like lettuce, Chinese cabbage, radish, beet, apple, persimmon, pear, etc. As described above the procedure, cabbage feeding trait was clearly heritable. The strain responsible for this traits was named Fb.

      • 現存하는 韓國 在來種 蠶品種의 形質特性

        The objective of this research was to characterize of the silkworm that might be recognized to the Korea native strains. The eleven strains of Korean race used in this study. which is cultured in Korea and Japan seri-cultural research organs. Most of Korean varieties were three molting and univoltine, comparatively longer larval duration than the trimolter general. The egg characters of varieties showed shor-elliptic shpe and dark brown egg color except for a few varieties which shows greenish dark brown. Also, most of varieties were showed the plain(p) and moricaud(pM) in larval markings. Moricaud marking of the varieties also consist of innumerable dark grayish brown lines and dots, though somewhat darker and lighter than that of the wild silkworm, Bombyx mandarina. Cocoon characters variations of varieties were seen in the size, color and shape. 8 varieties were colored cocoon, t.e..yellow, greenish yellow and light green etc..the others were white cocoon. The shape of cocoos were consisted of constricted shallowly in the middle and attenuated at one or both ends f cocoon, t.e..spindle. The results of this study is sufficient evidence that Korea strains were shown as the one of regional origin strain of domesticated silkworm such as the Chinese and Japanese etc.

      • 누에의 후배자발생 초기에 있어서 돌연변이 불면잠계통간의 형질발현 특성

        Studies were carried out to investigate phenotypic expression, mortality and biochemical analysis of haemolymph proteins of nm-d, nm-f, nm-i, nwr-k and nmn non-molting mutants of the silkworm, Bombyx mori. The non-molting mutants characters were expressed in the homozygote of each mutant genes. All strains of non-molting mutants were similar with each other in physiological characteristics, but the expression varied with each strains. The larvae of nm-d, nm-i and nwfn died between day 5 and day 9 after hatching without the first molt. The nm-f and nm-k mutants died between day 5 and day 16 with a slight increase of body weight and, more than 90% of the mutants larvae died before the first molt and a few of them survived to the 2nd and the 3rd instar and died. The haemolymph protein components of nm-d,nm-i and nmn were rapidly reduced , and on the other hand those of nm-f and nm-k consistently until they died. And there were no distinguishable difference in haemolymph components of non-molting mutants, as compared to those of normals.

        한국산 멧누에나방(Bombyx mandarina)에 있어서 난각유전자의 형질발현. II. 난각단백질의 합성과정

        멧누에나방(Bombyx mandarina) 난각유전자의 형질발현기구를 규명하기 위한 연구의 일환으로 각형성과정에 있어서 난각단백질의 합성과정을 분석하였다. 난각단백질의 합성과정을 여포세포의 기난관배양에 의한 in vitro합성계에 의하여 분석한 결과, 합성과정은 8단계로 나눌 수 있었으며 SDS-PAGE 분석에 의해 17개 이상의 단백질 band로 분리되었다. 멧누에 난각단백질은 합성시기에 따라 3단계로 구분되며 초기에는 비교적 고분자 성분이, 합성의 중후기에는 비교적 저분자성분이 합성되는 등 난각단백질의 합성은 시기특이적으로 조절되었다. The programme of silkrnoth chorion protem synthetIc changes is autonomous i. e.,it is imple I mented WIth normal kinetics by follicles cultured in isolation in a defined tIssue culture medium. On the basis of protem synthetic profiles, 8 stages of chorwgenesis are defined. Detail a analysis of the proteins of chorion of Bombyx mandarina, reveals more than 17 components by eletrophoretic mobility and synthetic kinetics. We have defined three abbreviated synthetlc s stages, based on the pattern of protein synthesized at early, middle, and late synthetic stages

      • 새로운 突然變異 不眠蠶의 遺傳學籍 硏究

        The recessive lethal mutation 'non-molting of Nho' (symbol, nmn) was founded on one preservation stocks. All dwarf larvae continued to eat a few mulberry leaves and very slightly increasing body-size over a 7 days, and then died without entering into molt. Linkage experiments showed that nmn was linked with Knob(K) on the 11th linkage group. Precise localization of the gene was performed by mating with nm gene. This mutant was confirmed to be allelic with the nm gene located on the same chromosome.
