A Computer Simulation Method is described which allows Command Tapes for an NC Milling Machine to be proved out on A Tektronix visual display unit. The method displays plots of cutter center path motions in the X-Y, X-Z and Y-Z Planes and allows the Program to be edited to rectify errors.
Emulsified Fuel과 Bunker C Oil의 燃消性에 關한 硏究

In this study, investigated the effect that the emulsification of Bunker C oil with water has on the combustion characteristics and reducing the air pollution emission. The emulsified fuel were compared with Bunker C oil for the combustion characteristics, the thermal efficiency of boiler and the air pollution emission. The thermal efficiencies of the emulsified fuel combustion were better than it of Bunker C oil combustion, showed the trend of having the thermal efficiencies of a large differences at low steam loads and a very small differences at a higher steam loads and the amount of dust produced was reduced largely.

조절 Planar 4 Bar Linkage의 합성에 관한 考察

The ability of planar 4-bar mechanism, ogenerate various kinds of motion, can be greatly enhanced if it is made adjustable. With a Simple adjunstemt of the position of the driven crank fixed pivot(s), variety of output can be obtained with the same set of hardware. The record outlines synthesis techniques for 4-bar linkages, having adjustable driven crank pivots, for different motion generation problems. For a 4-bar mechanism no more than five design positions can be specified. All the possible maximal motion specifications for the two "Phases", consisting of different combination of the five positions, are enumerated. This leads to four classes of motion generation problems. Synthesis precedure for each class is presented. An example of the ?? case is solved. The method of solution is analytical in nature, and therefore well suited for use on a digital computer.

This paper deals with hardenability of spring steel which were quenched under variable heating temperature. The Hardenability of the steels defined as the property which determines the depth and distribution of hardness induced by quenching. The hardenability should not be confused with the hardness of a steel. which is its resistance to plastic deformation. Therefore, hardenability is a measure of the depth of hardening of a steel upon quenching from Autenite. The hardenability of these specimens is determined Grossmann's method. a series of cylinderical spring steel bars of defferent diameter of 20, 35, and 50㎜ are hardened by quenching from autenitic temperature in a paticular quenching medium.(In this case the quenching medium is quenching oil). The hardened depth of these specimens were invest igated by Rockwell hardness testing after quenching conditions. In addition, the metallographic examination were applied to these specimens to enlarge this hardenability and micro structure in these spring steels. As result of melallographic examination, the bar that has over 50% martensite structure at its center is investigated.

The discrete vortex model with conformal mapping method has been applied to analyze the flow around the flat plate acting in rotational oscillation about the front end of a plate in a uniform flow. Numerical conditions are determined by comparing with the result of' flow visualization already reported. Then, numerical calculations are performed for various nondimensional frequencies (ratio of circumferential velocity at end of plate to uniform flow velocity) of more than 0.1 and amplitudes. Vortex patterns and unsteady forces are obtained. As a result, a thrust is generated on the plate for nondimensional frequencies of more than 0.1 by this oscillation. The thrust on the plate increases as the amplitude becomes large under the condition of these frequencies.

The Kinetothermoelastodynamic (KITED) model used is a single degree-of -freedom, flexible cam-follower system is which the unconstrained thermal distortion of the cam is considered. The synthesis equation for the cam profile is derived for a prescribed follower acceleration in either analytical or numerical form. The technique is demonstrated by numerical examples.
