Cotton fabrics were treated with THPS-urea of various mole ratios of THPS to urea prepared by adding urea to a THPS-urea precondensate whose mole ratio of TRPS to urea was 1 to 0.67. The treatment condition imparting maximum flame retardancy to cotton fabric was investigated by LOT measurement, and the physical properties of treated fabrics such as tensile strength, tearing strength and stiffness were also investigated. The optimum treatment condition imparting maximum durable flame retardancy was found when the mole ratio of THPS to urea was 1 to 1.5, and the fabric treated under these conditions passed the DOC FF 3-71 flame test after 50 laundry cycles.
중학교 ‘방과후학교’ 체험활동 수업을 위한 CNC 밀링 모형 수업자료 개발

The objective of the present study is to develop the teaching materials in order to understand electricity and mechanical equipments for students and provide them with the technical experience through practical learning using CNC milling model in After-school activities. The materials were developed according to the ADDIE model (Analysis - Design - Development - Implementation - Evaluation), the teaching materials under this study have some distinct features as follows. First of all, these materials can stimulate students' interest in automation technology and help them acquire the basic knowledge, functions and attitude on it. Secondly, the materials were designed for the junior high school students and consist of 20 hours lesson plans in After-school activities, and these can be applied flexibly according to the different situations. Thirdly, the contents of this program are composed of three main areas - the use of CAD, the use of CAM, and the use of CNC milling. And for each area, there are detail learning contents and exercise questions. Fourthly, these developed materials can be used in Club Activities,Creative Discretion Activities, or in Technology & Household Management classes to understand the automation technology easily. 이 연구의 목적은 중학교 ‘방과후학교’ 체험활동을 위한 CNC 밀링 모형 활용 학습을 통하여 전기, 전자, 기계에 대한 올바른 이해와 실천적 학습 경험과 기술적 조작경험을 제공하기 위한 수업자료를 개발하는데 있다. 수업자료 개발을 위하여 ADDIE 모형의 절차에 따라 분석, 설계, 개발, 실행, 평가의 단계를 거쳐서 수업자료를 개발하였으며 개발된 수업자료는 다음과 같은 특징을갖고 있다. 첫째, 이 수업자료는 중학생들의 자동화 기술에 대한 흥미와 호기심을 충족시켜주고, 자동화 기술에 대한 기초 지식․기능․태도를 습득할 수 있도록 개발하였다. 둘째, 이 수업자료는 중학생을 대상으로 하였으며, 방과후학교에서 20시간 활용할 수있으며 상황에 따라 융통성있게 적용할 수 있다. 셋째, 이 수업자료의 내용 구성은CAD활용, CAM활용, CNC 밀링 활용의 3가지 주제로 구성되어 있으며 각 주제별로세부학습내용과 예제로 프로그램을 구성하였다. 넷째, 개발된 수업자료는 계발활동,창의적 재량활동, 기술․가정교과 등에서도 자동화 기술의 이해를 위한 체험활동 수업자료로 활용될 수 있다.

Sarcoidosis can occur as an isolated form or a part of multisystem involvement. Sinonasal involvement in sarcoidosis is rare and the septum and inferior turbinates are most commonly involved. Symptoms are nonspecific and diagnosis of isolated sinonasal sarcoidosis is difficult because it may mimic other sinonasal granulomatous disorders. Exclusion diagnosis is made according to symptoms, laboratory findings, nasal endoscopy, sinus CT, and histopathological features. In this study, we report a case of primary sarcoidosis of the nasal cavity and discuss the clinical characteristics of sinonasal sarcoidosis with a review of literature. Background and Objectives:Dizziness is an illusion of environmental movement due to various causes. It is difficult to confirm the diagnosis of dizziness according to history and physical examination in restricted situation such as emergency room. The aim of this study is to find another clue for diagnosis in patients of dizziness who visited emergency room. Subjects and Method:Author retrospectively reviewed the charts of 1,060 patients of dizziness who visited emergency room at Chonnam University Hospital from July 2004 to June 2005 and accumulated the various information such as final diagnosis, clinical feature, physical examination, present illness and past history etc. Results:Average age of patients was 57. The most frequently consulted department for evaluation of dizziness was the department of otolaryngology, head and neck surgery (>29.8%). Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) was the most frequent final diagnosis (14.4%) in all patients. But, cerebrovascular disease was the more frequent cause for dizziness in male and old age group. Whirling type dizziness was frequent in BPPV (36.8%) and spontaneous nystagmus was detected frequently in peripheral type vertigo such as vestibular neuritis (65.1%). Average age of central vertigo patients was 61.4 and other vertigo patients was 55. Patients of central vertigo visited the emergency room more frequently in the months of Dec, Jan, Feb and patient of other vertigo visited more frequently in June, July, Aug. Conclusion:Various specialized departments should be involved in effective and exact diagnosis of dizziness. The organized questionnaire in addition to prevalence, incidence and characteristics of dizziness may be used in finding another clue for diagnosis and managing dizzy patients helpfully.
신적출술 10년 후에 발생한 이하선에 전이된 단발성 신세포암

Renal cell carcinoma metastasis to the parotid gland after tumor nephrectomy is extremely rare. We report a case of solitary parotid metastasis from clear cell renal cell carcinoma in a 64-year-old man, who presented it 10 years after primary treatment. Superficial parotidectomy and deep lobe mass removal with preservation of the facial nerve was performed. The patient is currently being followed up regularly with no additional metastasis observed for 13 months.
Cavernous Hemangioma of the Tympanic Membrane

Cavernous hemangioma seems to most frequently arise in the posterior portion of the external auditory canal. However, they rarely occur in the tympanic membrane. A 49-year-old male patient was referred for evaluation of right-sided pulsatile tinnitus that he’d experienced for the previous 2 years. Temporal bone computerized tomography showed an isolated soft tissue mass just lateral to the tympanic membrane. There was no evidence of bony erosion or middle ear invasion. The patient underwent excision of the mass using a postauricular approach. The mass was removed en bloc and the defect of the tympanic membrane was repaired by tympanoplasty type I. There was no recurrence after 1 year of follow-up.
