Development and Application of CFT without Fire Protection using High Performance Steel and Concrete

Concrete filled tube (CFT) columns, which consist of a steel tube filled with concrete, combine the benefits of the two materials. The steel tube provides a confining pressure to the concrete, while the local buckling of steel plate can be prevented by the concrete core. CFT columns also have a high fire resistance due to the heat storage effect of concrete under fire. For this reason, it is possible to develop CFT columns without fire protection measures. CFT columns without fire protection have many advantages, including quality control, cost reduction, better space efficiency and a shorter construction period. Due to these advantages, studies on the development of CFT columns without fire protection measures have been performed. However, CFT columns lose their bearing capacity under fire because the steel tube is exposed to the outside. As a result, the structure is collapsed, causing significant damage. In this research,we made a CFT column using high strength concrete (100 MPa) and high strength steel (800 MPa). We use steel fiber and nylon fiber with concrete to provide fire resistance. We perform the fresh concrete experiment and investigate the fire resistance of the CFT column (□ 400×400×15×3000 mm) under loading. To investigate the effect of steel fiber on increasing fire resistance, we compare the fire resistance time according to the steel fiber. Through the test, it was found that the CFT specimen with steel fiber had better fire resistance performance than other cases.
집중호우발생 후 피해평가를 위한 침수지역 관측 기법 개발

매년 발생하여 환경과 사회에 큰 피해를 입히는 홍수를 기상의 악조건을 극복하고 시계열적으로 관측할수 있는 기술이 필요 하다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 피해상황을 정확하게 평가하기 위해 위성영상을 통해 광역적인 지역의 홍수범위를 탐지하는 기법 을 개발하였다. 영상처리로는 Near Infrared (NIR)과 식생지수(NDWI)를 지도에 표현하는 방식으로 홍수지역 탐지기법을 개 발하였다.

Right Main Bronchus Rupture Presenting with Pneumoperitoneum

We report the case of a 16-year-old male patient who was involved in a traffic accident and transferred to the emergency department with mild chest pain. We initially did not find evidence of tracheal injury on computed tomography (CT). Within an hour after presentation, the patient developed severe dyspnea and newly developed subcutaneous emphysema and pneumoperitoneum were discovered. Abdominal CT showed no intra-abdominal injury. However, destruction of the right main bronchus was identified on coronal images of the initially performed CT scan. Emergency exploratory surgery was performed. The amputated right main bronchus was identified. End-to-end tracheobronchial anastomosis was performed, and the patient recovered without any complications.

알루미나 분말을 분쇄하면서 Y 수화물을 동시에 침전시켜 YAG 분말을 합성하였다. 하소 분말 (l20$0^{\circ}C$, 4 h)에는 YAG 외에 소량의 YAM이 남아 있었다. 그러나 평균 입경 0.57 $\mu$m으로 분쇄한 분말 성형체에서는 산화물 혼합법에서 YAG 단일상이 얻어지는 온도 (l500∼1$600^{\circ}C$) 보다 훨씬 낮은 130$0^{\circ}C$ 에서 YAG 단일상이 이미 형성되었다. 분말의 소결성은 우수하여 소결조제 SiO$_2$(350 ppm Si) 의 첨가에 관계없이 치밀화가 잘 일어났다. SiO$_2$를 첨가하지 않은 경우, 1$600^{\circ}C$에서 98%의 손결밀도를 얻었다. SiO$_2$를 첨가한 경우에는 150$0^{\circ}C$에서 치밀화가 더 잘 일어나 97.7%의 소결밀도가 얻어졌으며, 1$600^{\circ}C$에서는 SiO$_2$의 소결촉진 효과가 나타나지 않아 밀도는 SiO$_2$를 첨가하지 않은 시편과 비슷하였다. Yttrium Aluminum Garnet (YAG) powders were prepared by precipitation of Y hydroxides during milling of alumina powders. The powder calcined at 1200$^{\circ}C$ for 4 h contained a small amount of Yttrium Aluminum Monoclinic (YAM) in addition to YAG. However, phase-pure YAG was obtained in the compact of the milled powder with an average particle size of 0.57 ${\mu}$m at 1300$^{\circ}C$, which is much lower than those (l500∼1600$^{\circ}C$) for a mixed oxide method. The powder was found to exhibit an excellent sinterability regardless of the addition of a sintering aid, SiO$_2$(350 ppm Si). The undoped sample were sintered to a relative density of 98% at l600$^{\circ}C$. In contrast, the addition of SiO$_2$ caused a considerable densification to occur at 1500$^{\circ}C$ and the relative density reached 97.7%. But the sintering aid had little effect on the densification at 1600$^{\circ}C$, showing a similar relative density to the undoped sample.
