학생의 건강체력 증진, 공동체 의식 함양, 건전한 학교 풍토 조성, 스포츠 국가 경쟁력 제고라는 비전 속에서 출발한 학교스포츠클럽에 대한 관심이 상당히 커지고 있다. 가히 학교스포츠클럽의 시대라 칭할 만하다. 학교스포츠클럽 정책은 학생들의 꾸준한 운동 참여를 통한 스포츠클럽의 학교 정착을 목표로 하기 때문에 학생들의 지속적인 경기 참여가 무엇보다 중요하며 이로 인해 리그 방식의 도입이 강조되고 있다. 그러나, 부족한 체육시설, 예산, 인력 등의 문제로 학교스포츠클럽 대회를 지속적으로 운영하는 데에는 상당한 어려움이 있다. 이러한 상황에서 서울시교육청이 주관해 운영한 서울시 학교스포츠클럽 리그는 상당한 의미를 지닌다 할 수 있으며, 이를 확산하기 위한 방안이 마련될 필요가 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 서울시교육청이 운영한 서울시 학교스포츠클럽 리그의 의의를 밝히는 한편, 제반 문제점들을 살펴보면서, 향후 학교스포츠클럽 대회의 과제를 제시하였다. 이 연구는 리그 방식의 학교스포츠클럽 대회의 운영과 관련하여 중요한 기초자료가 될 것이다. In recent years, the school sports clubs which are the purpose of student`s health promotion, enhancing community spirit, a healthy school climates, strengthening national competitiveness of sports have attracted so much attention. So-called, this is the era of the school sports club. Because the purpose of the school sports club policy is to take a sports club place at a school through students` consistent attending in sports event, it is emphasized in the importance of the sports league. But, it is hard to managing the school sports clubs league because deficiency in sports facilities, supporting budget, faculties. So, it is meaningful that Seoul metropolitan office of education are manage to operating the school sports clubs league in 2011, 2012. The purpose of this study was to understand the meanings and problems of the school sports clubs league of Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education. In basis of above results, I discussed two topic, ``the factors of success in school sports club league`` and ``the tasks for consist school sports clubs league`` as suggestions.
