Quantum Simulation Study on Performance Optimization of GaSb/InAs nanowire Tunneling FET

We report the computer aided design results for a GaSb/InAs broken-gap gate all around nanowire tunneling FET (TFET). In designing, the semi-empirical tight-binding (TB) method using sp3d5s* is used as band structure model to produce the bulk properties. The calculated band structure is cooperated with open boundary conditions (OBCs) and a three-dimensional Schrödinger-Poisson solver to execute quantum transport simulators. We find an device configuration for the operation voltage of 0.3 V which exhibit desired low sub-threshold swing (< 60 mV/dec) by adopting receded gate configuration while maintaining the high current characteristic (ION > 100 μA/μm) that broken-gap TFETs normally have.

Soft denture liners or conditioners may be valuable therapeutic materials. The life of these liners is short and varies, but it can be extended by the use of a mono-poly(polymethyl methacrylate coating material). This study determined whether coating three temporary soft denture liners with mono-poly affected the resiliency of soft liners, and evaluated the ability of mono-poly to prevent water absorption and alcohol loss from the underlying soft liners. 20×12㎜ cylindrical specimens of Coe-Soft, Soft-Liner, Coe-Comfort soft lining materials were made and divided into two groups of mono-poly uncoated(control) and mono-poly coated specimens. Specimens were immersed in water and compressed on an instron universal testing machine and weighed at initial, 24 hours, 1 week, 2 weeks, and 4 weeks. Resiliency was determined by measuring the energy absorbed by the soft liners when stressed to a specific yield point. Mono-poly coating significantly increased the resiliency of the Soft-Liner, but had no effect on the other soft liners. Among the 3 soft liners, Soft-Liner showed the hightest resiliency and modulus of elasticity. The weight loss in Soft-Liner was the least among the 3 liners, and the weight loss in Coe-Soft was decreased by monopoly coating.

연구논문 : 관광위험지각이 관광행동선호에 미치는 영향 : 부정적 감정성향의 조절효과를 중심으로

본 연구의 주요목적은 요즘 한창 이슈가 되고 있는 전쟁과 테러의 위험, 사스 및 자연재해의 증가와 같은 새로운 변수로 작용되고 있는 요인들을 좀 더 세부적으로 살펴보고, 그에 따른 관광행동선호에 대한 영향력을 규명하며, 또한 부정적 감정성향이 조절효과로서의 역할을 하는지에 대해 알아보고자 하는 것이다. 이에 현 시대를 반영한 관광위험지각이 본 연구의 유용한 변수임을 알아보기 위한 이론적 연구를 실시하였고, 이를 토대로 관광위험지각이 관광행동선호에 미치는 영향관계를 규명하기 위해 실증분석을 실시하였다. 또한 부정적 감정성향을 조절변수로 사용함으로써, 타고나는 감정성향에 따라 관광행동선호는 어떻게 변화되는지를 알아보았다. 그 결과 관광위험지각이 관광행동선호에 미치는 영향에서는 관광행동선호의 4가지 요인에 각기 다른 관광위험지각 요인이 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었고, 조절변수로써 부정적 감정성향은 이문화 접촉 추구형을 제외하고는 모두 조절역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 첫째, 이문화 접촉 추구형의 경우 테러·전쟁 위험, 전염병 위험이 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 연령이 높아질수록 이문화 접촉 추구가 낮아진다는 것을 알 수 있었고, 학력이 높아질수록, 국외관광의 경험이 많을수록 이문화 접촉 추구가 강하게 일어나는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 부정적 감정성향은 조절변수로서의 역할을 하지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 자문화 유사 추구형의 경우는 테러·전쟁 위험, 전염병 위험, 자연재난 위험에서 모두 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 통제변수로는 연령과 소득에서 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 부정적 감정성향이 조절변수로서의 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 관광서비스 추구형의 경우는 테러·전쟁 위험이 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 연령이 높아질수록 관광서비스 추구가 높아진다는 것을 알 수 있었고, 국외관광의 경험이 많아질수록 관광서비스 추구가 낮아지는 것으로 나타났으며, 부정적 감정성향이 조절변수로써 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 넷째, 대중성 추구형의 경우는 테러·전쟁 위험과 전염병 위험이 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 통제변수는 학력과 소득에서 유의한 결과를 나타냈고, 부정적 감정성향이 조절변수로서의 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. This study has been carried to find out if the changed perception of travel risks was a valid variable. And to find out the effects of the perception of travel risks on the preferred travel behaviors, an empirical analysis was carried out. In addition, negative affectivity was used as a moderator to find out the relationship between the perception of travel risks and preferred travel behavior. The subjects of this study were selected from adults over 20 years old living in Seoul and Gyeonggi area. The researcher and the trained helpers conducted a survey over the period of 45 days between July 3 and August 18, 2006. 551 questionnaires were collected. Of these, 532 were used and 19 were discarded for inadequacy. The results showed that different perceptions of travel risks affected 4 preferred travel behaviors. The moderator, the negative affectivity, played mediating roles except for the type of people who pursue different cultural experiences. For the type 1 which preferred different cultural experience and want more active participation was find out the higher the age, the less preference of different cultural experience. Also the higher the school career and the more experience of trip abroad, the stronger preference of different cultural experience. For the type 2 which preferred similar cultural experience, it was best to recommend differentiated tour products according to the level of perceived travel risk, age, and income. For the type 3 which preferred excellent tourism service had influence the risk of terrorism·war. For the type 4 which preferred popular destinations had influence the risk of terrorism·war and communicable diseases. School career and income is a significant effect as a controlled variable. The tourism industry needs to establish methods to obtain and provide accurate information about current emergency situations and potential emergency situations in domestic and international travel destinations to help the tourists select alternative destinations and assure their safety.

An Intellectual Structure of National Distance Research in International Business Journals

The purpose of this paper is to depict the research paradigm of cross-national distance in International Business(IB) in order to gain a more profound understanding of the relevance of the research topic. In addition, comparisons were made with fields of psychology and sociology in order to seek further possible topics for inclusion in future IB research. Therefore, we adopt the Author Co-citation Analysis(ACA) bibliometric analysis as a new approach in hopes to lead the future research trends. The result indicate that distance is widely adopted in diverse studies. In the IB field, national, organizational, theoretical, and global approach clusters were classified. The analysis of Psychology and Sociology journals directs future research to the person-to-person level, which includes the distance between headquarters and local subsidiaries.
