        The purpose of this study is to investigate the correlation between anthropometric measurement and motor fitness and ability of women university students whose major is physcial Education. The findings of this study are summarized as follows : 1.From a voewpoint of physical features and motor fitness, the student are superior to other average women of the same ages. That their percentage of fat is low is a desirable phenomenon, because it means that the quantity of muscular per unit of weifht has been increased. 2.In therms of the correlation between the percentage of fat and motor fitiness, the values of weight and chest circumference are in direct proportion to arm strength, but in inverse proportion to those of power and body endurance, as compared with those of height. 3.In view of the correlation between the percentage of fat and motor fitness and ability, the percentage of fat is inverse perportion to the functions in all kinds of sports. Body endurance and power show an especially definite correlation.

        Arms action in the free exercise not have a great effect on flexibility of shoulders, elbows, wrists and on tenderness of muscles of these parts, but give helps to the exercise of all parts and strengthen these parts: leg, neck, chest, sides, back, stomach, torso, etc. So this has an important position in the body exercise However, scientific and theoretical research has been so neglected in all free exercises as well as in arms actions that hardness of the actions, gradual development and recognition of the effect are acknowledged abstractedly and generally. Established exercise and beaten track are simply followed. The arms actions in free exercise of all parts of body should be studied analytically and kinetically, in order to investigate more effective way of free exercise. 1. To strengthen in the more effective way the exercise of all parts of body with the arms actions. Arms' swing or up-swing shall be replaced by arms' turn-round. Arms' turn-around is to be done in accordance with one's boy structure, and it will be more effective when the turning closes to circle action. Strengthening exercise of all parts of body with arms' bent and stretched is to be an effective way from the view point of accelerating use of arms, gravity and is to be mainly used for leg's exercises with its sharp actions. 2. Exercise of all parts of body with arms raised is performed with the purpose of either enhancing the safety of the body with the balance of it, or reversedly giving our body the enough practice of balance-taking by jeopardizing the safety of the body. Moreover, it aims to give effectiveness to the exercise of all parts of body using the gravity of the arms by fixing them at the certain position. It is mainly used for the exercise of the sides, back, stomach and torso. 3. Exercise of all parts of body with arms fixed is performed to retrain the needless motion of the arms. It is to obtain the exactness of the motion itself without any consideration of the kinetic role the arms play. Therefore it has no concern with the investigation of the kinetic sides. This exercise is done to give activation to legs, neck, sides, back and stomach.

      • 軟式庭球 競技에 있어서 得矢点에 관韓 調査分析 : Centering around the Female Players 女子競技를 中心으로

        The Winning and losting points of the high school girl players and the general female players who participated in the all-Korea soft tennis championship tournament were investigated and analyzed in terms of the kinds of technique, using the game score cards. The results are summarized as follows: 1. Both the high school girl players and the general female players won many points largely by the forehand technique than the former. 2. Next to the mistakes of the forehand stroke, both the groups of players lost points largely by those of the backhand stroke and the backhand receiving. 3. The winning and losing points of both thewinners and the losers were analyzed as follows: 1) From the viewpoint of technique, the back players won or lost points by the forehand stroke. The winners won more points by the receiving than the losers. 2) From the technical viewpoint of the forward players, the winners won more points by the overhead smash than the losers. The high school girl players won more points by the receiving while the general female players, lost more points by the same technique. 4. In order to raise the winning point rate it is desirable to play games by the well-timed volley or overhead smash following the precise receiving and stroke instead of the unnatural strong forehand stroke. The higher the rate of winning points by the backhand techniques, the higher the rate of winning games. Therefore, the backhand techniques should be mastered thoroughly.

        Hand Spring is a fundamental and essential exercise which is widely applied to other connected events. This event is not only interesting to learn but a highly valued thing to teach in schools, while it seems somewhat difficult at first. Consequently I'm sure the teachers may lead their class successfuly by acquiring the basic skill of Hand spring. But in first, most of teachers in Middle school neglect this part of event and are reluctant to teach it to th students, for they don't have an expert knowledge and teaching skill of it, realizing the importance of Hand spring in the practical training. It is certain that the teachers can easily lead their class if only they have enough theroetical knowledge and teaching techniques of this event. Unfortunately, we can't find a recommendable guide book written about Hand sping in details. So, I hope this report will helf the teachers in schools guide their students effectively.
