SOME REDUCED FREE PRODUCTS OF ABELIAN C*-ALGEBRAS AND SOME C*-SUBALGEBRA IN A FREE PRODUCT

We prove that the reduced free product of k × k matrix algebras over abelian C*-algebras is not the minimal tensor product of reduced free products of k × k matrix algebras over abelian C*-algebras. It is shown that the reduced group C*-algebra associated with a group having the property T of Kazhdan is not isomorphic to a reduced free product of abelian C*-algebras or the minimal tensor product of such reduced free products. The infinite tensor product of reduced free products of abelian C*-algebras is not isomorphic to the tensor product of a nuclear C*-algebra and a reduced free product of abelian C*-algebra. We discuss the freeness of free product Ⅱ1-factors and solidity of free product Ⅱ1-factors weaker than that of Ozawa. We show that the freeness in a free product is related to the existence of Cartan subalgebras in free product Ⅱ1-factors. Finally, we give a free product factor which is not solid in the weak sense.
Growth of Boron-Doped-ZnO by RF Magnetron Sputtering for CIGS Solar Cells

The cell performance of CuIn1-x GaxSe₂ (CIGS) thin-film solar cells fabricated using boron-doped ZnO window layers was evaluated. Boron-doped ZnO was deposited by RF magnetron sputtering using a zinc-oxide target containing 3 wt.% B2O3. Its resistivity was 1.36 × 10-2 Ω·cm and its transmittance was 85 ~ 89 % in the wavelength range from 400 nm to 1000 nm. The transmittance was higher in the near-infrared region than in the other regions. Thus, boron-doped ZnO thin films would be suitable for use as transparent window layers of CIGS solar cells having a higher quantum efficiency on the near-infrared region. The FF and the conversion efficiency were obtained from the J-V measurements and their values were 0.42 and 8.15 %, respectively.

In solar cells, particularly Cu(In,Ga)Se₂ (CIGS), Al-doped ZnO thin lms are used as the top or the bottom transparent conducting window layer. This study examined the efficiency of CIGS solar cells as a function of the Al-doped ZnO film thickness. A CIGS solar cell with an Al/ZnO:Al/i-ZnO/CdS/CIGS/Mo structure was fabricated. A 50-nm-thick intrinsic ZnO thin film was deposited by RF magnetron sputtering. The fill-factor and the conversion efficiency of a CIGS solar cell with a 310-nm-thick AZO thin film were calculated to be 0.67 and 13.54 %, respectively, from the results of the J-V measurements.
실시간 하이브리드 실험법에 의한 TLMD의 풍응답 제어성능평가

An experimental real-time hybrid method, which implements the wind response control of a building structure with only a two-way TLMD, is proposed and verified through a shaking table test. The building structure is divided into the upper experimental TLMD and the lower numerical structural part. The shaking table vibrates the TLMD with the response calculated from the numerical substructure,which is subjected to the excitations of the measured interface control force at its top story and an wind-load input at its base. The results show that the conventional method can be replaced by the proposed methodology with a simple installation and accuracy for evaluating the control performance of a TLMD

Purpose: The degree of radiation-induced lung fibrosis (RILF) can be measured quantitatively by fibrosis volume (VF) on chest computed tomography (CT) scan. The purpose of this study was to investigate the interobserver and intraobserver variability in CT-based measurement of VF. Materials and Methods: We selected 10 non-small cell lung cancer patients developed with RILF after postoperative radiation therapy (PORT) and delineated VF on the follow-up chest CT scanned at more than 6 months after radiotherapy. Three radiation oncologists independently delineated VF to investigate the interobserver variability. Three times of delineation of VF was performed by two radiation oncologists for the analysis of intraobserver variability. We analysed the concordance index (CI) and inter/intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC). Results: The median CI was 0.61 (range, 0.44 to 0.68) for interobserver variability and the median CIs for intraobserver variability were 0.69 (range, 0.65 to 0.79) and 0.61(range, 0.55 to 0.65) by two observers. The ICC for interobserver variability was 0.974 (p < 0.001) and ICCs for intraobserver variability were 0.996 (p < 0.001) and 0.991 (p < 0.001), respectively. Conclusion: CT-based measurement of VF with patients who received PORT was a highly consistent and reproducible quantitative method between and within observers.
Ferroelectric 캐패시터의 하부전극에의 응용을 위한 IrO<sub>2</sub> 박막 증착 및 특성분석

In this work, $IrO_2$thin films as bottom electrode of ferroelectric capacitors were deposited and characterized. The $IrO_2$films deposited in the conditions of 25, 40 and 50% oxygen ambient by sputtering method were annealed at 600, 700 and $800^{\circ}C$, respectively. It was found that the crystallinity and the surface morphology of $IrO_2$films affected the surface properties and electrical properties of SBT thin films prepared by the MOD method. With increasing temperature, the crystallinity and the roughness of $IrO_2$films were also increasing. This increasing of roughness degraded the surface properties and electrical properties of SBT films. We found an optimum condition of $IrO_2$films as bottom electrode for ferroelectric capacitor at 50% oxygen ambient and $600^{\circ}C$ annealing temperature. Electrical characterizations were performed by using$ IrO_2$bottom electrodes grown at an optimum conditions. The remanent polarization ($P_{r}$) of the Pt/SBT/$IrO_2$/$SiO_2$/Si structure was 2.75 $\mu$C/$\textrm{cm}^2$ at an applied voltage of 3 V. The leakage current density was $1.06${\times}$10^{-3}$ A/$\textrm{cm}^2$ at an applied voltage of 3 V.
터빈 노즐 및 열차폐 코팅에 따른 고압 1 단 터빈 블레이드의 구조 건전성 영향에 대한 연구

High pressure nozzles and turbines of a gas turbine engine should be required to be operated under extreme operating conditions in order to maximize the performance. Engine manufactures have utilized nickel-base superalloys, enhanced cooling design, and thermal barrier coating techniques to overcome them and furthermore, material modeling, finite element analysis, optimization techniques, and etc. have been utilized widely for elaborate predictions. We aim to evaluate the effects on the low cycle fatigue life of the high pressure turbine blade caused by thermal barrier coatings and the cooling design of the endwall of the first stage turbine nozzle. To achieve it, the structural analysis, which utilized the results of conjugate heat transfer analysis as loading boundary conditions, was performed and then the results were the input for the assessment of low cycle fatigue life at several critical zones. 엔진 성능 혹은 효율의 극대화는 엔진 구성품들을 점점 더 극한의 환경에서 장시간 운용되게 요구하고 있다. 이를 위해 엔진 제작사 혹은 연구소는 초내열합금, 냉각 설계 최적화, 열차폐 코팅 개선 등의 노력과 동시에 재료 모델링, 유한요소해석, 최적설계 등의 수치 해석 기법을 적용하여 좀 더 정교한 설계 및 해석을 수행하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 연소기 뒤에 위치하는 1 단 고압터빈 노즐의 끝벽 냉각 설계와 열차폐 코팅에 따른 일방향 응고 재료인 1 단 고압터빈 블레이드의 저주기 피로 수명에 대한 영향을 고찰하고자 한다. 이를 위해 경계 조건인 고온 및 고압의 연소 가스에 의한 노즐 및 블레이드의 금속 온도는 복합 열 전달 해석을 통해 얻고, 이 결과를 받아 블레이드의 구조 해석 및 저주기 피로수명을 평가하여 노즐 냉각설계와 열차폐 코팅의 영향을 분석하였다.

Purpose The objective of this study was to explore the relationship between the circulating lympho- cyte level during preoperative chemoradiotherapy (CRT) and pathologic complete response (pCR) in locally advanced rectal cancer. Materials and Methods From May 2010 to May 2013, 52 patients treated with preoperative CRT followed by surgery, were analysed. Patients received conventional fractionated radiotherapy (50-54 Gy) with fluorouracil-based chemotherapy. Surgical resection was performed at 4 to 8 weeks after the completion of preoperative CRT. Absolute blood lymphocyte counts and their rel- ative percentage in total white blood cell counts were obtained from complete blood count tests performed prior to and after 4, 8, and 12 weeks of CRT. We analysed the association between achieving pCR and change in blood lymphocyte level during CRT, as well as clinical parameters. Results Among 52 patients, 14 (26.9%) had evidence of pCR. Sustaining the blood lymphocyte count during CRT (lymphocyte count at 4 weeks/baseline lymphocyte count > 0.35; odds ratio, 8.33; p=0.02) and initial carcinoembryonic antigen < 4.4 ng/mL (odds ratio, 6.71; p=0.03) were significantly associated with pCR in multivariate analyses. Conclusion Sustaining blood lymphocyte count during preoperative CRT was predictive for pCR in rectal cancer. Further studies are warranted to investigate the association between pathologic responses and circulating lymphocyte count with its subpopulation during preoperative CRT.
