In order to study the effects of moxibustion on renal failure induced by HgCl₂in rats aminal experiments were carry out. The moxibustion was treat into Sin-soo locus(Ⅶ23), Wee-soo(Ⅶ21) and Sin-soo + We-soo loci these loci were correspond to human body. Experimental group were divided into 4 groups : lontrol group, moxibustion groups treat on Sin-Soo and We-Soo, Sin-Soo +We-Soo group. The obtained results were as follows: 1. The concertration of serum sodium were inreased in all the groups, compared with those of the control group. Sin-Soo, We-Soo, Sin-Soo + We-Soo loci showed increased on the 1st and 3rd days. All three experimental groups showed a significant increased on 3rd days. 2. The concentration of serum potassium were decreased in all the group, compared with those of the control group. Sin-Soo, We-Soo showed a significant decrease on 3rd days. Sin-Soo +We-Soo showed a little decreas but do not significant decrease. 3. The levels of serum total protein were increased in all the group compare with those of the control group. Sin-Soo, We-Soo show a significant increaseds or 3rd day. Sin-Soo + We-Soo do not showed a significant increased. 4. The levels of serum albumin were decreased in all the groups, compared with those of the group. Sin-Soo, Sin-Soo + We-Soo showed significant decreased on 3rd day. We-Soo dose not showed a significant decrease. 5. The concentration of serum blood urea nitrogen were decreased in all the groups, compared with those of the control group. Simn-Soo, We-Soo, Sin-Soo + We-Soo showed a significant decrease on 3rd day. 6. The levels of serum alkaline phosphatase were decreased in all the group, compared with those of the contral groups. Sin-Soo, We-Soo showed a significant decrease on 3rd day Sin-soo + We-Soo not a significant decrease. In conclusion, the result of this study seemed to effect on the treatment for renal failure induced by HgCl₂

뇌폐흡충증은 폐흡충증에 의한 뇌 감염을 일컫는다. 최근 저자들은 임상적으로 급성기의 증상만을 보였으나 방사선학적 소견상 전형적인 만성기의 소견을 보인 뇌폐흡충증 1예를 경험하였다. 고열 및 두통을 주소로 내원한 12세 남자 환자에서 단순 두개골 촬영술, 전산화단층촬영술, 자기공명촬영술 소견상 다발성의 패각양석회화 낭성종괴 및 주위 뇌부종을 관찰할 수 있었고, 수술을 시행하여 완전 회복되었기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Cerebral paragonimiasis is a cerebral infestation of paragonimus westermani. Recently, we experienced a case of cerebral paragonimiasis with symptoms of acute swage, but it revealed classic radiologic findings of chronic stage. A 12 year-old male had suffered from high fever and headache. Plain skull film, computed tomography and magnetic resonance image demonstrated multiple conglomerated, calcification and cystic mass with perilesional brain edema in right temporooccipital region. After operation, the patient recovered completely. So, we report this case with a brief review of the literature.
