그림책 중심 비교과 교육과정에 나타난 예비유아교사의 그림책에 대한 인식 변화

This study looked at the change in the perception of picture books by pre-service early childhood teachers in the extracurricular centered on picture books. To this end, a extracurricular centered on picture books was conducted for 13 weeks, an qualitative analysis of reflective journals and how their perception of picture books has changed through interviews. The results of the study showed the perception changed from ‘content-oriented text to picture books as art books’, ‘not through picture books, but picture books themselves’, as picture books as ‘shared play areas.’ This is meaningful in that it has become more aware of the rich value of picture books, sought ways to apply them to the field of early childhood education, and became competent as a early childhood teacher, breaking away from the recognition of picture books as a means for subject learning. Based on this, it is proposed to develop and apply more diverse extracurricular to the child’s literature education and pre-service early childhood teacher education courses. 본 연구는 그림책 중심의 비교과 교육과정에 나타난 예비유아교사의 그림책에 대한 인식 변화를 탐색한 것이다. 이를 위해 13주간 그림책을 중심으로 한 비교과 교육과정을 실시하고 예비유아교사가 작성한 반성적 저널 분석과 면담을 통해 그림책에 대한 그들의 인식이 어떻게 변화하였는지 질적 분석하였다. 연구 결과, ‘내용 중심 텍스트에서 예술로서의 그림책’으로, ‘그림책을 통한이 아닌 그림책 그 자체’, ‘공유하는 놀이 공간으로서의 그림책’으로 인식의 변화를 나타내었다. 이는 그동안 그림책을 교과 영역의 학습을 위한 수단적 의미로 인식했던 것에서 벗어나 그림책이 지닌 보다 풍부한 가치를 인식하고 이를 유아교육 현장에 적용할 방안을 모색하고 유아교사로서의 유능감을 가지게 되었다는 것에 의의가 있다. 본 연구를 통해 아동문학교육과 예비유아교사교육과정에 더욱 다양한 비교과 교육과정을 개발하고 적용할 것을 제안한다.

Application of Service-Learning to the Program for Training Early Childhood Teachers

In this study, I explore a plan to apply service-learning in the program for training early childhood teachers, as there are increasing attempts to have a new understanding of community service and incorporate service activities into college education. With a focus on the characteristics as a learning method discovered through the theoretical examination of service-learning and cultivating practical knowledge that constitutes the core of the early childhood teacher training program, I have contrived phased procedures that pursue both service activities and learning and can equally benefit student, faculty, and local community. By conducting both the learning of early childhood social education and service activities according to the procedures, I explore the appropriateness of service-learning in promoting the effectiveness of learning in the early childhood teacher training program.

The Olfactory System: Basic Anatomy and Physiology for General Otorhinolaryngologists

Olfaction is one of the five basic human senses, and it is known to be one of the most primitive senses. The sense of olfac-tion may have been critical for human survival in prehistoric society, and although many believe its importance has dimin-ished over time, it continues to have an impact on human interaction, bonding, and propagation of the species. Even if weare unaware of it, the sense of smell greatly affects our lives and is closely related to overall quality of life and health. None-theless, olfaction has been neglected from a scientific perspective compared to other senses. However, olfaction has recent-ly received substantial attention since the loss of smell and taste has been noted as a key symptom of severe acute respira-tory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection. Studies investigating olfaction loss in association with coronavirusdisease 2019 (COVID-19) have revealed that olfactory dysfunction can be both conductive and sensorineural, possiblycausing structural changes in the brain. Olfactory training is an effective treatment for olfactory dysfunction, suggesting thereorganization of neural associations. A reduced ability to smell may also alert suspicion for neurodegenerative or psychiat-ric disorders. Here, we summarize the basic knowledge that we, as otorhinolaryngologists, should have about the sense ofsmell and the peripheral and central olfactory pathways for managing and helping patients with olfactory dysfunction.

본 연구는 예비 유아교사들의 한국 전래동화에 대한 이해에 관한 것이다. 효과적인 예비유아교사교육과 유아교육현장에서의 효율적인 한국 전래동화 교육을 위해 예비 유아교사들이 가지고 있는 한국 전래동화에 관한 이해를 알아보았다. 예비 유아교사들이 보인 한국 전래동화에 관한 이해는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교훈적 가치, 둘째, 시대적 가치관의 문제, 셋째, 전통사회에 대한 새로운 인식, 넷째, 즐거운 기분등이다. 이는 대학교육의 현장에서 예비유아교사들을 위한 문학교육 관련 수업을 계획하는 데 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

예비유아교사가 경험한 서비스-러닝의 의미와 유아교사 교육자에게 주는 시사점

Service-learning is a method of teaching based on the philosophy of experience learning to learn through service. In this study, pre-service early childhood teachers, who are learners in the course of pre-service early childhood teacher training applying service-learning, presented what the implications of the experience suggest to the early childhood teachers' educator. To this end, the service-learning was applied to the children's literature class for pre-service early childhood teachers and analyzed the meaning of service-learning they experienced through reflection journals and activity evaluations, and the implications given to the early childhood teachers' educator. The results of the study showed positive effects such as knowledge of major, practical application ability, improved self-esteem and contribution through service-learning. Based on this, it is proposed to develop and apply various service-learning curriculums, ranging from subjects of major to courses of liberal arts and comparative and educational courses, in the pre-service early childhood teacher training. 서비스-러닝은 봉사를 통해 학습한다는 경험학습 철학에 근거한 교수학습방법의 하나로, 본 연구에서는 서비스-러닝을 적용한 예비유아교사 교육과정에서 학습자인 예비유아교사가 어떠한 경험을 하며, 그 경험의 의미가 유아교사 교육자에게 시사하는 바는 무엇인가를 제시하였다. 이를 위해 예비유아교사를 대상으로 아동문학 수업에 서비스-러닝을 적용하고, 성찰일지 및 활동평가지 등을 통해 이들이 경험한 서비스-러닝의 의미와 유아교사 교육자에게 주는 시사점을 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 서비스-러닝을 통해 전공 지식과 실천적 적용 능력, 자존감 및 기여감 향상 등의 긍정적 효과를 나타내었다. 이를 근거로 예비유아교사 교육과정에 전공 교과목은 물론, 교양 교과목 및 비교과교육과정에 이르기까지 다양한 서비스-러닝 교육과정을 개발・적용할 것을 제안한다.
