A sensorless vector control of an induction motor provides a good performance in the middle and high speed region. However, in the low speed region, it is very difficult to implement the sensorless vector controller because the feeding voltage measured by the motor is very low. In this paper, we designed the sensorless vector controller of an induction motor using the estimate of the slip frequency. To verify the performance of the proposed controller, an experiment has been performed.

Han, Sang-Soo, “The Sexual Politics and Political Cruelty in Andersen`s “The Little Mermaid”, “The Brave Tin Soldier”, and “The Red Shoes”.” Modern Studies in English Language & Literature 57.1 (2013): 241-60. This thesis sets out to explore the ideological significance of ``sexual politics`` and ``political cruelty`` by carrying out the demythicization of Andersen`s three classic fairy tales, “The Little Mermaid”, “The Brave Tin Soldier” and “The Red Shoes”. This demythicization of these fairy tales means to identify and expose the ideological operations of patriarchal society out of them. The patriarchal ideology exerts its power by guiding young girls to read the fairy tales, thus, making them docile for the male centered society; the fairy tales are not ``innocent``, but already ``politicized``. The cultural forces of the patriarchy have determined the positions of women subordinated to men. The private areas of love, marriage and dance appear to be ``non-political``. In fact, these areas are the focal points of power that patriarchal sexual politics is most powerfully operating. This thesis is designed to criticize the repressive cruelty and violence of sexual politics rooted in three classic fairy tales. (Hannam University)

This article aims to examine the theoretical and practical implications of the rule of law in the viewpoint of discourse theory. Discourse is language as social practice determined by social structures. Actual discourse is determined by socially constituted orders of discourse. Orders of discourse are ideologically shaped by power relations in social institutions and in society as a whole. Discourse has effects on social structures and contributes to social continuity and social change. Legal discourse is a special type of discourse which operates in the realm of law. Legal discourse as a kind of official discourse has defining and regulatory effects on other social discourses and practices: that is, legal discourse has the effects of incorporating and excluding other social discourses and practices. Rule of law discourse is a type of legal discourse. Rule of law discourse has many dimensions: rule of law as general discourse, rule of law as interdiscourse and intradiscourse, rule of law as counter discourse and dominant discourse, rule of law as means discourse and end discourse. Through the discursive investigation of the rule of law, we can understand many aspects of the rule of law such as formal legality and substantive legality, rule by law and rule of law, rule of law and rule of reason etc. But further study of discourse theory is needed to clarify the meanings of the rule of law.

This study aims to examine Aristotle's conception of law and his theory of the rule of law expressed in his writings such as Nicomachean Ethics, Politics, and The Art of Rhetoric. In Aristotle's legal philosophy, law and the rule of law are of great significance, especially in relation to his theory of justice and constitution. Aristotle defines law as a general and rational norm based on the acceptance and agreement of the people or lawmaker. According to him, the ultimate end of mankind is happiness, and justice as the whole virtue is the essential condition of happiness. Law is intended to create and preserve the necessary conditions of happiness. Therefore the rule of law is needed to secure the happiness of the members of the political community. The rule of law is essentially equivalent to the rule by reason, while the rule of decrees is the rule by desire. Just as reason must rule desire, law must have sovereignty all over the members of the political community. The rule of law consists in internalizing the respect for law and habituating the observance of law. Law as a means of moral education resorts to persuasion and coercion in order to perform its proper role.
