I studied some important medical liter atures in order to examine the cause of Aphasia and found out some facts as follows : 1. Hwang Je Nae Kgong(黃帝內經) is more referred exogenous causes of disease of Aphasia than endogenous causes of disease. 2. Among many causes of Aphasia, exogenous causes of disease was cinsidered to be most common in Soh Shi Je Byong Won Hu chong Rhon(巢氏諸病源喉總論), which has had a wide influence down the ages. 3. Chon Keum Yo Bang(千金要方), Chi Tae Bhi Yo(外臺秘要), Tae Pyong Song Hye Bang(太平聖惠方), Song Je Chong Rok(聖濟總綠). Bu In Yang Bang(婦人良方) and so forth had been quoted from Hwang Je Nae Kyong and Soh Shi Je Byong Won Hu Chong Ron(巢氏諸病源喉總論). 4. In the ming dynasty had been quoted non-exo-endogenous causes of disease and the Kinds of Aphasia and prescription. 5. In the Choeun dynasty and the Ching dynasty, exogenous causes of disease was confined to the quotation of the books referred to above as well, but endogenous causes of disease was developed. 6. Today is refered kidney and Aphasia. The cause of Aphasia obtained was as follows. The exogenous cause of disease is wind, wind and cold, wind and heat. The endogenous cause of disease is pregnancy, heart block of postpartum, weakness of heart and kidney, impairment of seven modes of emotions, stagnation of phlegm and phlegm-fire, hemorrhage. The non exo-endogenous causes of disease is sing ballads and call out.

I studied some important medical Literatures in order to examine the cause of Hoarse Voice and found out some facts of follows ; 1. The exogenous cause of disease in wind. 2. Wind-cold, Wind-fire, Wind-heat, Summer-heat, Heat. 3. The endogenous cause of disease is deficiency of Yin and dificiency of blood leads fire-evil was lung-dry stool dificiency of body fluid. 4. The non-exo-endogenous causes of disease is sing ballads and call out.
관동화산(款冬花散) 및 그 구성약물(構成藥物)이 기관지평활근(氣管支平滑筋)에 미치는 영향(影響)

The study was carried out to investigate the effect of Kwandongwhasan extract and its constituent herbs onthe contractile force of isolated guineapig trachealis muscle and to elucidate its mechanism. The results of this study were as follows; 1. Kwandongwhasan significantly inhibited the contractile response of isolated guinea pig trachealis muscle by histamine. 2. Kwandongwhasan significantly inhibited the contractile response of isolated guinea pig trachealis muscle by acetylcholine. 3. Kwandongwhasan significantly inhibited the contractile response of isolated guinea pig trachealis muscle by 5-hydrooxytryptamine. 4. Kwandongwhasan significantly inhibited the contractile response of isolated guinea pig trachealis muscle by prostaglandin $F2\;{\alpha}$ 5. Herba Ephedrae (麻黃), Semen Armeniacae(杏仁), Cortex Mormi(紫白皮), and Flos Farfarae (款冬花), extract significantly inhibited the contractile response of isolated guinea pig trachealis muscle by histamine, acetylcholine, 5-hydroxytryptamine and prostaglandin $F2\;{\alpha}$. 6. Radix Glycyrrhdzae(甘草) extract significantly inhibited the contractile response of isolated guinea pig trachealis muscle by prostaglandia $F2\;{\alpha}$. 7. Rhizoma Anemarrhenae(知母) extract significantly inhibited the contractile response of isolated guinea pig trachealis muscle by histamine. 8. Bulbus Fritillariae(貝母) and Tuber Pinelliae(半夏) extract did not inhibit the significantly inhibited the contractile response of isolated guinea pig trachealis muscle.

Based on the recent clinical experiences, the pattern of depression in the hemodialysis patients seems to have changed as compared to the past. This study is designed to find out the characteristics of depression in the hemodialysis patients nowadays and factors influencing the depression. Fifty End Stage Renal Disease(ESRD) patients receiving hemodialysis were interviewed according to a schedule to collect data. Their depression was assessed with Hamilton`s Depression Scale and Zung`s Self Rating Scale. The data were compared with 45 patients who were diagnosed as neurotic depression in psychiatric outpatients clinic. The results are as follows: 1) The depression in hemodialysis patients was not more severe than that of neurotic depression. This suggests that the severity of depression in the hemodialysis patients have decreased apparently as compared to the past. This may be due to general socioeconomic improvement in Korean society, improved financial support by medical insurance system, improvement of therapeutic techniques and environments of hemodialysis rooms and changed view on hemodialysis of the people. Fear of death and fear of life, and fear of dependence to the machines that were used to be attributed to the depression in the past were still influential, but less than the past. 2) Comparing with neurotic patients, the hemodialysis patients presented less of depressive symptoms such as depressed mood, agitation, anxiety(psychological, physical) and somatic symptoms. Thus, the psychological symptoms such as low of interest and suicidal ideation are more valuable to evaluate the depression of the hemodialysis patients than vegetative symptoms. 3) Economic problem appeared to be the most significant cause of depression in the hemodialysis patients. Other causes were family problem and sexual problem. The duration of hemodialysis is longer, the depression is more sever and the severity of depression tended to increase as the patients get old. 4) In the hemodialysis patients, religion and higher education appeared to be related with less severity of depression. Thus, to help the patients, it is recommended the hemodialysis patients to have religious faith and the educational programs.

This experiment was conducted for the development of oriental feed additives in broiler chicks. It conducted experiment to investigate the effect of 1% dietary supplementation of oriental feed additives containing oriental herbal medicines such as Saururus Chnensis B.(S. chnensis) and Carthamus Tinctorius L.(C. tinctorius) on growth performance, and physicochemical properties in broiler chicks. The results of this study demonstrated that chicks feed 1% oriental feed additives decreased feed gain, and death rates compared with control treatment. Weight gain and meat color were higher in the 1% supplement group than control. The supplementation of 1% oriental feed additives increased unsaturated fatty acid, and reduced crude fat in the broiler chicks compared with those of control. In conclusion, this study implied that oriental feed additives containing oriental herbal medicines such as S. Chnensis and C. Tinctorius were effective in improving broiler chicks on growth performance, physical-chemical properties and is highly recommended for increasing economic returns.
2,3',4,4',5-pentachlorobiphenyl(PCB#118)가 랫드의 고환에 미치는 형태학적 변화

This study was performed to examine the effect of 2,3',4,4',5-pentachlorobiphenyl (PCB#118) on testis of male rats. PCB#118 (20 mg/kg/week) in corn oil was intraperitoneally injected to adult male rats for 2, 5, 8 weeks. The body and testicular weights were measured at 3, 6, 9 weeks of PCB treatment. The morphological changes in the rat testes were then analyzed by light microscopy (LM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The results showed that PCB#118 caused significant change in the body weights and testicular weights. Moreover, the morphological studies that were conducted on the PCB-treated rats revealed that the number of spermatocytes and spermatids in their seminiferous tubules decreased than control group (LM). The nuclear membrane was damaged when PCB was administered to them for 9 weeks (TEM). These results suggest that the reproductive function of the adult male rats is sensitive to PCB#118, and that may affect the testicular morphology of adult male rats.
