Sclerotium rolfsii에 의한 소엽풍란 흰비단병
한경숙,이성찬,한유경,김수,김동휘 한국식물병리학회 2010 식물병연구 Vol.16 No.3
The Sclerotium blight was found on Neofinetia falcata at Yong-in city, Gyenggi-do, Korea. The symptom occurred low leaves yellowish and wilt of a whole plant. Severely infected plants were blighted and dies eventually. White mycelial mats appeared on the surface of basal stem and bulbs and the sclerotia were formed on stems, roots, and sphagnum moss. The sclerotia were spherical in shape, 1~3 mm in size and white to brown in color. The optimum temperature for the growth and sclerotia formation was 25~30℃ on PDA. On the pathogenicity test, the first symptom was appeared 5 days after inoculation and development to severe stem rot and blight. The causal fungus was identified as Sclerotium rolfsii and we suggested to call that the new Sclerotium blight on Neofinetia falcata caused by Sclerotium rolfsii in Korea.

Crown gall of rose (Rosa hybrida) was observed in greenhouse during 2003-2007. The average disease incidence was up to 38.1% and was more severe in hydroponic culture as compared to soil culture. The typical gall symptom occurred mainly on the root, crown, or both, and resulted on poor rooting, growth retardation and yield loss. The reduction rate of rooting influenced by crown gall was 57.5% as compared to healthy plants on nursery stock. The location of gall formation in the plant influenced growth vigor resulting in symptoms such as poor shooting. Healthy plants produced 19.1 flowers/m2, while diseased plants produced 9.5 flowers/m2 during the same cultivation period. Moreover, the number of days to flowering was longer for the diseased plants than for healthy plants - 51.2 days and 39.8 days for first harvest, and 60.6 days and 52.1 days for the second harvest, respectively. Conclusively, infection on the basal stem caused serious loss of the number of shoot formation; yield loss of cut flower was 38.7% due to crown gall infection and delay of harvesting time about 8-10 days. In 2005 and 2007, petiole and root rot of Spathiphyllum spp. was occurred at commercial greenhouse during summer (June-September) in Koyang city and Yongin city, Kyunggi-do, Korea. The pathogenic fungus was isolated from diseased plants and the cultural and morphological chracteristic were observed. Conidia were rod in shape, 1-3 septa and 67.5-95.0×4.8-6.5 μm (av. 82.0×6.0 μm) in size. The optimum temperature for the mycelial growth of the isolates was 27oC. According to result the pathogenicity test, first disease symptoms appeared five days after inoculation. On the basis of mycological characteristics and pathogenicity test on host plants, the fungus was identified as Cylindrocladium spathiphylli. This is the first report on Spathiphyllum spp. caused by C. spathiphylli in Korea. Fusarium oxysporum에 의한 브룬펠지아 줄기마름병
한경숙,최용문,박종한,이중섭 한국식물병리학회 2003 식물병연구 Vol.9 No.1
Stem blight of brunfelsia (Brunfelsia calycina) caused by Fusarium oxysporum was found in greenhouse around Sungnam area, Kyunggi province, Korea in September 2001. The initial infection appeared as a slight wilting of the foliage, turned yellow from the lower leaves. The yellowing leaves were falled, resulting in blight of stem and eventual death of the entire plant. The vascular tissue of a diseased plants became dark brown and browning of the vascular system was a characteristic of this disease and the pith remained healthy. Isolates obtained from the lesions of the diseased plant were identified as F. oxysporum, based on the morphological characteristics of conidia. Symptom by artificial inoculation was same to the symptom of naturally infected plants. This is the first report demonstrating the stem blight on a brunfelsia caused by F. oxysporum in Korea, and we proposed to name this disease “stem blight of brunfelsia”.
