        친환경 제품유형(리사이클 vs. 업사이클)이 소비자 제품태도에 미치는 영향

        Recently, the importance of environmentally friendly resource usage has been emphasized and various products utilizing recycling and upcycling have been launched. Recycle is the process of decomposing waste or extracting raw materials through certain processes such as physical and chemical processes, which tends to consume high energy and have lower quality than the original materials. On the other hand, upcycle is the concept of reconstructing waste materials without decomposing them to increase their utilization, thus enabling to produce new products with better quality or higher environmental value. Although upcycling and recycling are obviously different concepts, little is known regarding how consumers perceive these two types of recycled products. Therefore, this study empirically examines the differences in consumers’ product attitudes towards recycled vs. upcycled products. For this purpose, one study was conducted among university students in Korea. The results show that consumers tend to have higher product attitudes toward upcycled products than recycled products; the effect of product type on product attitudes is mediated by price fairness, environmental concern, and novelty. That is, consumers show higher price fairness, environmental concern, and novelty for upcycled products than for recycled products, resulting in higher product attitudes. Based on these findings, theoretical and practical implications are discussed. 최근 환경친화적 자원순환의 중요성이 강조되고 있으며, 리사이클과 업사이클을 활용한 다양한 제품이 출시되고 있다. 리사이클(recycle)은 폐기물을 분해하거나 물리적, 화학적 공정 등의 일정한 프로세스를 통해 원료를 추출하여 새로운 제품의 소재로 활용하거나 재생, 재사용하는 것으로 고에너지가 소모되고 원래의 물질보다 품질이 낮아지는 경향이 있다. 반면 업사이클(upcycle)은 폐기물의 분해 없이 재구성하여 활용도를 높이거나 창의적인 디자인을 통해 원래보다 더 좋은 품질이나 더 높은 환경적 가치를 지닌 새로운 제품을 생산하는 개념이다. 리사이클과 업사이클 간에는 이처럼 분명한 차이가 존재하지만 제품유형을 리사이클 제품과 업사이클 제품으로 구분하여 각 유형에 따른 소비자의 인식 차이를 논의한 연구는 많지 않다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 리사이클 제품과 업사이클 제품을 비교하여 소비자 제품태도의 차이를 실증적으로 살펴보았다. 구체적으로, 본 연구는 이들 두 가지 제품유형이 가격 공정성과 환경오염에 대한 관심, 참신함을 매개로 제품태도에 미치는 효과를 고찰하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 소비자들은 리사이클 제품보다 업사이클 제품에서 더 긍적적인 제품태도를 보였다. 둘째, 제품유형이 제품태도에 미치는 효과는 가격 공정성과 환경오염에 대한 관심, 참신함에 의해 매개되었다. 구체적으로, 소비자는 리사이클 제품보다 업사이클 제품에서 더 높은 가격 공정성과 환경오염에 대한 관심, 참신함을 보였으며, 이는 더 높은 제품태도로 이어졌다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 학문적, 실무적 시사점을 제공하였다.

        Relationship Between Chronic Periodontitis and Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms/Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia

        Purpose: We investigated the relationship between lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS)/benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and chronic periodontitis (CP). Methods: A total of 103 middle-aged men who had received a health checkup were included. All participant data were prospectively collected. CP was defined as a 30% increase in the number of probed sites with a clinical attachment level of ≥4 mm among all probed sites. LUTS/BPH were assessed using transrectal ultrasonography, the International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS), uroflowmetry, and postvoiding residual urine volume. Results: The median age, IPSS, prostate volume, and maximal flow rate were 55.0 years, 9.0, 29.0 mL, and 20.0 mL/sec, respectively. In addition, the prevalence of CP was 27.2%. The IPSS total, IPSS voiding, IPSS storage, and quality of life (QoL) scores were significantly higher in patients with CP (median [interquartile range, IQR]–IPSS total: 8.0 [5.0–13.5] vs. 12.0 [7.5–20.5], P=0.004; IPSS voiding: 5.0 [2.0–9.0] vs. 8.5 [4.0–15.0], P=0.002; IPSS storage: 3.0 [2.0–5.0] vs. 4.0 [3.0–6.0], P=0.021; QoL: 2.0 [1.0–3.0] vs. 3.0 [2.0–4.0], P=0.015). Additionally, the average flow rate was significantly lower in patients with CP (median [IQR] (mL/sec): 9.0 [8.0–13.0] vs. 8.0 [6.0–11.0], P=0.047). After adjustment for age, testosterone level, prostate volume, glucose level, cholesterol level, and waist circumference, the IPSS total and voiding scores were significantly and positively related to CP (IPSS total: odds ratio [OR], 1.141; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.045–1.245; P=0.003; IPSS voiding: OR, 1.243; 95% CI, 1.092–1.415; P=0.001). Conclusions: Our data suggest that LUTS/BPH is significantly related to CP.

        The ultimate goal of periodontal therapy is to promote the regeneration of lost periodontal tissue, there have been many attempts to develop a method to achieve this goal, but none of them was completely successful. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of BBP?? on alkaline phosphatase(ALP) activity in human fetal osteoblast (hFOB1). The results of this study were as follows, BBP?? didn't show any significant increased cell proliferation and cell activity in the human fetal osteoblast as compared to non-supplemented controls at 2 and 4 day. In ALP activity, 100 ㎍/㎖ BBP?? treated group showed significantly increased value than negative control group.

        성호 이익의 감정 스펙트럼에 관한 연구― Word2Vec을 활용한 성호와 퇴계ㆍ율곡의 감정 어휘 비교 분석을 중심으로

        본 연구는 17세기 유학자 성호 이익의 감정 이론이 가지는 독특한 면모를 디지털 방법론을 이용한 감정 어휘의 비교 분석을 통해 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다. 성호는 조선 유학에서 중요한 학술 주제로 다루어졌던 사단과 칠정이라는 감정을 기존의 학자들이 추상적이고 이론적인 분석 개념으로 여겨왔던 것과 달리 다채로운 현실 감정의 스펙트럼 속에서 바라보았다는 특징이 있다. 즉, 사단과 칠정이라고 하는 각 개념에 대한 형이상학적인 해석에만 집중했던 것이 아니라, 이러한 감정이 현실화되어 나타나는 구체적인 양상에 관심을 가지면서 다채로운 현실 감정의 스펙트럼 안에서 사단과 칠정의 관계를 설명하려고 했다는 점에서 매우 독특한 면모를 보여준다. 그리하여 본 연구는 성호의 ‘감정 스펙트럼’의 면모를 살펴보기 위하여 원전의 내용을 가까이서 직접 들여다보는 ‘가까이 읽기’ 뿐만 아니라 그가 펼쳐놓은 감정 스펙트럼을 한눈에 살펴볼 수 있는 ‘멀리서 읽기’를 시도해보고자 한다. 특히, 여러 음절로 구성된 어휘를 포착해내기 위한 방법론인 N-gram과 분석하고자 하는 어휘와 맥락적으로 유사한 어휘를 포착해내기 위한 방법론인 Word2Vec을 활용하여 성호의 사단칠정론을 이루고 있는 어휘의 특징을 퇴계, 율곡의 이론과 비교한다. 이로써 두 학자와는 확연하게 다른 ‘감정 스펙트럼’으로서 사단과 칠정을 바라보는 성호 이론의 면모를 포착해내고자 한다. 이를 통해 그동안 발견하지 못했던 성호 사단칠정론의 특징을 기존의 연구와는 다른 새로운 방식으로 이해할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 사변적인 개념 해석을 통해서만 이해되었던 사단과 칠정을 우리의 현실 속에서 느끼고 실현할 수 있는 감정으로서 이해할 수 있게 될 것이다. This research aims to highlight the unique aspects of Seongho Yi Ik’s emotional theory through a comparative analysis of emotional vocabulary using digital methodology. Emotions, particularly those associated with the Four Beginnings and the Seven Feelings, were significant topics in Joseon Confucianism. Unlike scholars who abstractly analyzed these emotions as theoretical concepts, Seongho observed a spectrum of diverse real-life emotions. While previous studies focused on interpreting Seongho’s theory within the Li-Qi framework, Seongho’s uniqueness lies in exploring their concrete manifestations in reality. The research utilizes both ‘Close Reading,’ involving an in-depth examination of the original texts directly, and ‘Distant Reading,’ providing a comprehensive view of Seongho’s emotional spectrum. Specifically, by utilizing N-gram and Word2Vec, the study aims to capture the distinctive features of Seongho’s theory by comparing it with the theories of two prominent figures, Toegye Yi Hwang and Yulgok Yi Yi. This approach offers a nuanced understanding of Seongho’s emotional spectrum, presenting the Four and Seven as emotions that can be felt and realized in our reality, beyond conventional conceptual interpretations.

        Morphological and molecular finding of Longicollum pagrosomi (Acanthocephala: Pomphorhynchidae) in cultured red sea bream from Korea

        Acanthocephalan worms were harvested from the posterior intestines of the cultured marine fishes from January to July 2016 in a fish market located in Daejeon metropolitan city, Republic of Korea. Totally 450 cultured fishes (rock fish 100, olive flounder 250, red sea bream 100) were surveyed. Of the 100 red sea bream fish, 37 fishes (37%) were diagnosed as positive for Longicollum pagrosomi by light, electron microscopic and molecular examination. The number of worm was 25∼78 (mean 51±13). However, we can’t found any worm from the cultured rock fish and olive flounder. After sequencing, none of Pomphorhynchidae family are not identical based on 18S rRNA gene, and this data were identified with the first report for 18S rRNA gene sequence of L. pagrosomi. Furthermore, we confirmed that L. pagrosomi of the cultured red sea bream in Republic of Korea is very common parasite.

        우골 유도 합성골이 사람 태아 골모세포의 골 광물화 과정에 미치는 영향

        The ultimate goal of periodontal therapy is to promote the regeneration of lost periodontal tissue, there have been many attempts to develop a method to achieve this goal, hut none of them was completely successful. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of Bio-Oss(R) on alkaline Phosphatase (ALP) activity in human fetal osteoblasts (hFOB1). The results of this study were as follows, in ALP Activity, 100 ${\mu}g/ml$ Bio-Oss(R) treated group showed significantly increased value than negative control group, but positive group($10^{-7}$ M dexamethasone treated group) showed the highest ALP activity at 3 day. In mineralization assay, numerous mineralized nodules were identified as darkly stained spots in 100${\mu}g/ml$ Bio-Oss(R) treated group than two control groups, whereas a small number of mineralized nodules were showed in the positive control. ALP may relate to the initial phase of bone nodule formation. On the basis of these results, this study showed Bio-Oss(R) is capable of accelerating new bone formation through hFOBl differentiation in vitro.

        Epithelial-mesenchymal interaction plays a important role in cell growth and differentiation. This interaction is already well known to have an importance during the organ development as well as cell growth and differentiation. However, in vitro experimental model is not well developed to reproduce in vivo cellular microenvironment which provide a epithelial-mesenchymal interaction. Because conventional monolayer culture lacks epithelial-mensenchymal interaction, cultivated cells have an morphologic, biochemical, and functional characteristics differ from in vivo tissue. Moreover, it's condition is not able to induce cellular differention due to submerged culture condition. Therefore, the aims of this study were to develop and evaualte the in vitro experimental model that maintains epithelial-mesenchymal interaction by organotypic raft culture, and to characterize biologic properties of three-dimensionally reconstituted oral keratinocytes by histological and immunohistochemical analysis. The results were as follow; 1. Gingival keratinocytes reconstituted by three-dimensional organotypic culture revealed similar morphologic characteristics to biopsied patient specimen showing stratification, hyperkeratinosis, matutation of epithelial architecture. 2. Connective tissue structure was matured, and there is no difference during stratification period of epithelial 3-dimensional culture. 3. The longer of air-exposure culture on three-dimensionally reconstituted cells, the more epithelial maturation, increased epithelial thickness and surface keratinization 4. In reconstitued mucosa, the whole epidermis was positively stained by anti-involucrin antibody, and there is no difference according to air-exposured culture period. 5. The Hsp was expressed in the epithelial layer of three-dimensionally cultured cells, especially basal layer of epidermis. The change of Hsp expression was not significant by culture stratification. 6. Connexin 43, marker of cell-cell communication was revealed mild immunodeposition in reconstitued epithelium, and there is no significant expression change during stratification. These results suggest that three-dimensional oragnotypic co-culture of normal gingival keratinocytes with dermal equivalent consisting type I collagen and gingival fibroblasts results in similar morphologic and immunohistochemical characteristics to in vivo patient specimens. And this culture system seems to provide adequate micro-environment for in vitro tissue reconstitution. Therefore, further study will be focused to study of in vitro gingivitis model, development of novel perioodntal disease therapeutics and epithelial-mensenchymal interaction.
