무대 위의 언어들: 글, 말, 그리고 [말]소리 - 동시대 프랑스 무언극 <애니웨어>가 경계에 대해 말하다 -

본고는 2017년 서울국제공연예술제 해외초청작 테아트르 드 랑투르베르의 <애니웨어>(앙리 보쇼 원작, 엘리즈 비네롱·엘렌 바로 출연)에 나타난 언어의 경계를 분석한다. 분석에 사용되는 방법론적 도구는 데리다의 해체론이다. 이것은 언어의 경계를 이분법적 시각으로 개념화한 후, 그 시각의 중지라는 이중전략을 취한다. 말하기와 글쓰기, 음성학과 문자학, 수행하는 목소리와 의미하는 목소리, ‘여기 지금’의 목소리와 ‘저기 그때’의 목소리 등으로 언어를 바라보는 이분법적 시각이 중지될 때, 그 시각에 의하여 설계된 이분법적 개념 역시 무효화될 것이다. 이 전략은 경계 사이를 횡단하며 경계 사이를 채워내는 사이의 에너지, 쉬브젝틸이 확보될 때 비로소 유효하다. 그러니 쉬브젝틸은 경계에 대한 관념들을 경계의 수행성으로 역어낼 본고의 주요 실 가닥이라 하겠다. 언어의 경계에 대한 본 연구는 학제와 예술과, 아카데미아와, 그리고 세상의 경계 넘기에 대한 제안이기도 하다. This paper examines borders of language(s) in regards to border performitivity. The target of the analysis is Theatre de l’entrouvert’s Anywhere with Elise Vigneron and Helene Barreau at SPAF in 2017. As a methodological tool for the analysis, it depends on Derridean deconstructive approach. This, as a tactic, performs a double-move which conceptualizes a border of language(s) from a dichotomous angle, and then suspends the angle itself within itself: that of speech and writing, phonology and grammatology, performing voice and signifying voice, voice of ‘here and now’ and voice of ‘there and then’, et cetera. As the angle is suspended, the concept conceived by the angle will be stultified as well. This tactic works only when subjectile of interposition ― an energy crossing borders and solidifying in-betweens ― is secured. Thereby, subjectile will be a key thread of this analysis to weave the ideas of a border into border performitivity. This study will likely be a proposal for more border crossings of disciplines, arts, academia as well as of the world.

좌표이탈의 (불)가능성에 대한 우화 - 알렉한드로 호도로브스키 작, 쟝-미쉘 두쁘 연출의 <복화술사의 학교>에 대한 연구 -

본 논문은 알렉한드로 호도로브스키(Alejandro Jodorowsky)작, 장-미쉘 두쁘(Jean-Michel d`Hoop)연출의 < 복화술사의 학교(L`Ecole des Ventriloques) >(2008)를 주어진 체계 내의 주어진 좌표로부터의 이탈을 감행하는 존재의 -되기에 대한 알레고리로 분석한다. 이때, 나의 나 아닌 것-되기(인형-되기)라는 사건을 발생시키는 주요 극적 수단인 복화술은, -되기라는 사건이 일어나는 알레고리적 장소로 논의될 것이다. 배우와 인형이라는 상이한 두 개체를 연기하는 복화술사의 몸에 의하여 발생하는 사건으로서의 -되기는 복화술이라는 메카니즘과 -되기 사이의 근접성을 보여주며, 탈 경계에의 미학적 담론으로 독해된다. 논의는 주인공 셀레스뜨의 “성자-되기”, “천재-되기”, “영웅-되기”의 일련의 에피소드들을 통하여 -되기의 필수조건인 좌표이탈을 감행하는 역동적인 변수로서의 인간 존재에 대한 철학적 사유로 확장될 것이며, 이는 경계 자체에 대한 질문으로 이어질 것이다. This study aims to analyze Jean-Michel d`Hoop`s production of Alejandro Jodorowsky`s “L`Ecole des Ventriloques(The School of Ventriloquists)”(2008) as an allegory of `becoming`, which attempts a deviation of a being from the given coordinates within a given system. Ventriloquism, which is a primary theatrical device for an event of becoming who(which)-is-not (i.e., becoming-a puppet), will be discussed as an allegorical locus of `becoming`, as well. The event of becoming, which happens through a single body of a ventriloquist-actor and a ventriloquist-puppet, will illustrate the proximity between the mechanism of ventriloquism and the ideas of becoming to be registered as aesthetics of trans-boundary in this study. Then, through the procedural episodes of Celeste the protagonist`s “becoming a saint”, “becoming a genius”, and “becoming a hero”, the discussion will be expanded to a philosophical speculation over a (human-)being as an ultimate and only variable, executing the dynamic force of becoming and turn to a question of a boundary in order to probe if there is a boundary as such.

위계와 공간을 넘어: 한국 가톨릭 이주사목의 의의와 전망

우리는 어떻게 이방인을 동행할 것인가? 한국 가톨릭 교회는 국내 이주 노동자를 어떻게 우리의 형제자매로 환대할 것인가? 본고는 이 두 질문에 집중하며 그에 대한 답변을 한국 가톨릭 교회의 이주사목 활동의 과거와 현재, 그리고 미래적 실천 방향과 비전에서 찾아보고자 한다. 본고에서 핵심 개념이자 핵심 이미지로 사용되는 용어는 ‘그 밖’이라는 일상어이다. ‘나머지의’, ‘그 외의 다른’이라는 의미의 이 일상어는 명확한 기준과 범위, 그리고 한도 ‘너머’의 것을 암시하는 동시에, 그 ‘너머’의 것의 상대적 열등성과 하위성을 내포한다. 이 용어는 분리와 경계에 대한 개념을 제시하는 동시에, 안과 밖의 경계가 붕괴되고 극복되는 방식 역시 공간 이미지로 제시하며 논의의 확장을 견인할 것이다. 논의는 첫째, ‘그 밖’이라는 용어가 갖는 공간적·인종적·민족적·문화적·사회적·계급적 함의를 변주하며 우리 사회 속 이주 노동자에 대한 사회적 구별과 차별, 공간적 분리와 조직적 배제를 짚어본 후 법령으로 확장, 우리의 법 테두리 안에서 이들 이주 노동자에 대한 구별과 차별의 합법화 양상을 살펴본다. 둘째, 구별과 차별 중지에 대한 당위는 한국 가톨릭 교회의 이주 노동자에 대한 이해와 사목에 대한 논의로 이어져, 가톨릭 정신의 실천 속에서 구별과 차별의 중지 가능성과 방안을 모색한다. 그리고 이 모색 속에 동반의 사목이 제안된다. 본고는 우리 땅의 250만 명의 국내유입 이주자를 시대의 표징으로 독해하는 한국 가톨릭 이주사목이 기꺼이 실천해야 할 사목으로 동행의 사목을 제안한다. 동행의 사목은 이 땅 위에 펼쳐질 하느님의 법을 구체적 가능태로 제시하는 동시에, ‘안’과 ‘밖’이라는 차별적이며 분리적 기준에 의하여 인간을 규범화하려는 인간의 법이 궁극적으로 무엇에 의하여 어떻게 중지될 수 있으며, 왜 중지되어야만 하는지 제시한다. How can we accompany aliens? How can the Korean Catholic Church welcome migrant workers as our brothers and sisters? This paper, in order to answer these two questions, investigates the past, present and future activities for migrant workers of the Pastoral Ministry of the Korean Catholic Church. This paper particularly gives attention to the daily language, ‘the other’, which categorizes migrant workers as such. In the Korean context, ‘the other’, which, as in ‘one/the other’, indicates social differentiation and discrimination and implies spatial segregation and systematic exclusion as in ‘in/out or interior/exterior’. The word which means ‘the rest’ and ‘the different’, implies a clear standard and boundary, and something ‘beyond’ the limit while at the same time suggesting the relative inferiority and inferiority of the ‘beyond’. ‘The other’ suggests the concepts of separation and boundary and presents the image of space as a way of breaking down the boundary between the in and the out and surpassing the boundary in order to deepen the discussion. Firstly, this paper examines the spatial, racial, ethnic, cultural, social, and class implications, points out social differentiation and discrimination, spatial separation and organizational exclusion against migrant workers in our society, and then reviews civil laws by examining how within the boundary of our laws the differentiation and discrimination against these migrant workers are legitimised. Secondly, the rationale for termination of differentiation and discrimination leads to discussions on the understanding and the pastoral care of migrant workers by the Korean Catholic Church. This paper seeks the possibility and plan to stop differentiation and discrimination in the good spirit of Catholicism. With this rationale, this paper proposes ministry of accompaniment. This paper proposes ministry of accompaniment that the Migrant ministry of the Korean Catholic Church should put into practice while considering the 2.5 million migrants of our land as signs of the times. The ministry of accompaniment presents God’s law on this earth as a concrete possibility, and at the same time how, by what and why human law that tries to standardise mankind by discriminatory and separate standards of the in and the out can ultimately be stopped.
