Numerical analysis of NOx reduction for compact design in marine urea-SCR system

In order to design a compact urea selective catalytic reduction system, numerical simulation was conducted by computational fluid dynamics tool. A swirl type static mixer and a mixing chamber were considered as mixing units in the system. It had great influence on flow characteristics and urea decomposition into ammonia. The mixer caused flow recirculation and high level of turbulence intensity, and the chamber increased residence time of ureawater- solution injected. Because of those effects, reaction rates of urea decomposition were enhanced in the region. When those mixing units were combined, it showed the maximum because the recirculation zone was significantly developed. NH3 conversion was maximized in the zone due to widely distributed turbulence intensity and high value of uniformity index. It caused improvement of NOx reduction efficiency of the system. It was possible to reduce 55% length of the chamber and connecting pipe without decrease of NOx reduction efficiency.
Weight Training이 身體構成과 筋力에 미치는 效果

The purpose of this study was to observe the effects of 12 weeks weight training on Body composition and Strength. The healthy male in che ju are randomly selected as subjects. The procedure of this experiment are as follows. 20 subjects are divided into two groups : G - 1 (High load - 10 Reps) , G - 2 (Low load - 20 Reps). All two groups trained for 12 weeks: Monday, Wednesday, Friday. During each workout following lifts are used : Bench press, Leg press, Barbell curl. Lat pull-down, Standimg press, Triceps extension, Dumbbell fly and Sit-up. The conclusion were as follows: 1. Changes of physique of before and after training. Body weight, chest girth, bicep girth did not increase significantly in G - 2 but Body weight (3.4 %) , chest girth (3. 0%) , bicep girth (2. 4%) and thigh girth (2. 7%) increased significantly (P < 0.05) in G - 1. 2. Changes of body composition of before and after training. % Fat and Fat weight did not decrease significantiy in both groups. Lean body mass did not increase significantiy in G-2, but increased (4.2%) significantly (P < 0.05) in G - 1. 3. Changes of muscular strength of before and after training. Hand grip (left, right), back muscle strength, bench press and lgg press incresd(P <0.001) significantly in both groups. but high load group (G - 1) slightly more incresed than in low load group (G-2).
비파괴 계장화 압입시험을 이용한 저항 점용접부 물성 평가

Nondestructive instrumented indentation test is the method to evaluate the mechanical properties by analyzing load - displacement curve when forming indentation on the surface of the specimen within hundreds of micro-indentation depth. Resistance spot welded samples are known to difficult to measure the local mechanical properties due to the combination of microstructural changes with heat input. Particularly, more difficulties arise to evaluate local mechanical properties of resistance spot welds because of having narrow HAZ, as well as dramatic changed in microstructure and hardness properties across the welds. In this study, evaluation of the local mechanical properties of resistance spot welds was carried out using the characterization of Instrumented Indentation testing. Resistance spot welding were performed for 590MPa DP (Dual Phase) steels and 780MPa TRIP (Transformation Induced Plasticity) steels following ISO 18278-2 condition. Mechanical properties of base metal using tensile test and Instrumented Indentation test showed similar results. Also it is possible to measure local mechanical properties of the center of fusion zone, edge of fusion zone, HAZ and base metal regions by using instrumented indentation test. Therefore, measurement of local mechanical properties using instrumented indentation test is efficient, reliable and relatively simple technique to evaluate the tensile strength, yield strength and hardening exponent.
Cybex-Ⅱ System를 이용한 하지불구자의 등속성 근력트레이닝의 효과에 관한 연구

The study was undertaken to demonstrate the effects of isokinetic muscular training on M. gastrocnemius during 7 week using Cybex- II System for two-legs handicapped 7 adults. ① Muscular strength in both Left and Right foot on plantarflexion motion in fast speed torque load (180°/sec) and slow speed torque load (30°/sec) was increased, but irrigular in dorsiflexion motion by elapsed time. ② Muscular power in both Left and Right foot on plantarflexion motion was increased, but irrigular in dorsiflexion motion by elapsed time. ③ Muscular endurance in both Left and Right foot on plantarflexion motion was increased, but irrigular in dorsiflexion motion by elapsed time. ④ Work Done in both Left and Right foot on plantarflexion motion was increased, but irrigular in dorsiflexion motion by elapsed time. ⑤ In conclusion on above results, The rehabilitation of M. gastrocnemius by plantarflexion motion was shown rather positive effects than dorsiflexion motion.
