The aim of this investigation was to examine the antioxidation, physicochemical, and sensory activity of a Korean steamed-rice cake, Sulgidduk, fortified with water extracts from Moringa oleifera (M. oleifera) leaf. M. oleifera leaf extracts were added to rice powder at rations of 0.1%, 1% and 10%. To examine antioxidation properties, the scavenging activities of DPPH radicals, hydroxyl radicals, ABTS+ radicals, and ferric ion reducing antioxidant power were investigated. M. oleifera extracts significantly increased the antioxidation activities of Sulgidduk in a dose dependent manner (p<0.05). Physicochemical characteristics were measured by proximate composition, color, texture profile analysis, and sensory evaluations. As the concentration of M. oleifera leaf extracts increased, L-values and a-values significantly decreased while b-values increased. Texture profile analysis demonstrated that the control groups showed significantly higher values for hardness, cohesiveness, chewiness, and adhesiveness as compared with groups containing M. oleifera leaf extract (p<0.05). In the sensory evaluation, the sample containing 0.1% of M. oleifera leaf extract obtained the best results in overall preference. Taken together, these results suggest that M. oleifera leaf may have the potential to increase the consumer acceptability and the functionality of Sulgidduk.

한국 여성사서의 직력유형(職歷類型)에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구

Knowledge about career patterns of women In any profession and about factors which influence these career patterns becomes increasingly necessary because of the influx of ever-increasing numbers of women into the labor force, and the need for the development and utilization of the creative productivity of women. This study alms to investigate Korean female librarians' overall career patterns and verify relevant factors which might affect to their career patterns. As an instrument, self-reported questionnaires were sent to 1,251 full-time Korean female librarians throughout the country with regular librarian's certificate, currently engaging in public, college or university, and special libraries. Based on the data gathered, the interrelationship between their career pattern inclination and its influential factors were examined through hypothesis testing. Major findings of the survey are outlined in the following: 1). Female librarians' career patterns were classified into five categories with the group represented as Categories-2 (single; wishes to continue working after marriage; places an emphasis on the sense of occupational accomplishment and social prestige) accounted for the highest proportion$(33.4\%)$. 2). The result of the hypothesis testing revealed that there is no significant relationship statistically between social factors(parents' socio-economic status, etc.) and female librarians' career patterns. So the hypothesis concerning social factors were rejected. 3). In psychological factors(job satisfaction ; self-concept sex role attitude ; role conflict ; and achievement motivation), all except for self-concept were shown to be relevant with female librarians' stable career pattern. So the hypotheses concerning psychological factors were supported. 4). According to the result of multiple discriminant analysis conducted between the above four statistically significant psychological factors and career patterns, the most influential factor for female librarians' career patterns was job satisfaction and sex role. In conclusion, the following recommendations were made: For overall enhancement of Korean female librarianship, earlier career guidance and concrete sex role education for young women is urgent which enable them to establish correct viewpoint for their occupational career female librarians themselves' constant endeavor In maintaining positive attitude toward their job is required.

대학도서관의 온라인 참고서가 구축현황과 온라인 참고정보원의 유형분석에 관한 연구

본 연구는 국내 대학도서관의 온라인 참고서가 구축현황과 참고서가 접근을 위한 접근점 및 온라인 참고정보원의 유형을 분석해 보고자 하였다.서울.경기지역 소재41개 대학도서관을 조사대상으로 홈페이지의 직접 접속을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 41개 관 중 30개 관에 참고서가가 구축되어 있었으며, 참고정보원에 접근하기 위한 홈페이지상의 메뉴로는 "이용자서비스", "전자정보원", "참고정보원"의 순이었다. 제공되고 있는 참고정보원의 유형은 도서관별로 다양하였으며, "명부/명감", "사전", "통계", "백과사전"의 순으로 밝혀졌다. 국내 대학도서관의 온라인 참고서가 구축 및 활성화를 위하여 선정을 위한 평가기준의 설정 및 적용, 접근의 용이성, 주제별 접근방법, 참고정보원의 계속적인 갱신 및 추가 등을 제언하였다. This study aimed to investigate present status of online reference shelf and analyze access point in the home page and types of online reference sources in the university library. Data were collected by accessing home pages of 41 university libraries in the region of Seoul and Kyonggi-Do. 30 libraries had prepared reference shelf out of 41 libraries, and "User Service", "Electronic Reference Sources", or "Reference & Information Sources" were mostly used as home page menu. Types of references sources varied among libraries, and "Directories", "Dictionaries", "Statistics" or "Encyclopedias" were mostly loaded types in the reference shelf. For the enhancement of reference services through reference shelf, establishing and applying standards for evaluation, ease of access, access by subject, and continuous updates and additions of reference sources were suggested.

Current Status of Women Librarians in the Republic Korea

본 연구는 한국 여성사서들의 전반적인 직업실태 및 직업관을 조사 분석함으로 여성사서들이 향후 한국 사서직의 전문성 제고에 기여할 수 있는 방안을 모색해 봄에 그 목적을 두었다. 조사 대상은 전국의 공공, 대학, 전문도서관의 정사서자격증을 소지한 여성사서들이며 자기보고식 질문지를 통하여 자료를 수집, SPSS통계 팩케지에 의해 처리하였다. 여성사서들의 인구학적 특성 (연령별 분포; 결혼여부; 교육수준), 직업적 특성(관종별 분포; 직위; 재직연한; 업무지속성;전문직적 활동), 직업에 대한 태도(결혼후의 계속근무의사; 직업계속동기; 성차별요인; 직업만족도) 등이 분석되었으며 결론을 통하여 한국사서직의 전문성제고와 발전을 위한 구체적인 방안이 제안되었다. (본 연구는 연구자의 박사학위논문(1991) 내용의 일부를 발췌한 것으로 통계수치는 기존의 연구결과에 ‘한국도서관총계’(한국도서관협회, 1993)상의 수치를 반영한 것임.)

홈페이지를 통한 대학도서관 서비스 접근성 평가 분석

본 연구는 국내 대학도서관 홈페이지상의 도서관서비스 항목의 접근성을 평가 분석해 봄으로써 이용자에게 어떻게 하면 효율적인 서비스를 할 수 있을 것인가에 대한 방향을 제시하는데 목적을 두었다. 조사대상은 전국적으로 4년제 국$\cdot$공립 및 사립대학교도서관 가운데 69개관을 계층적 표집방법에 의해 선정하여 홈페이지의 접근성을 평가하였으며, 평가항목은 네 개의 평가영역과 23개의 평가질문으로 구성하였고 이의 분석은 SPSS 12.0을 통하여 통계처리하였다. 평가영역에 대한 가설검증을 통해 결론을 도출하였고 이를 바탕으로 대학도서관에서의 홈페이지를 통한 보다 효율적인 도서관서비스를 위한 제안을 하였다. The purpose of this study is to provide directions for more effective and efficient service for library user by evaluating and analyzing library service access points on university library homepages. 69 national/public and private university libraries throughout the country are selected by stratified sampling method. The items used for evaluation are composed of 4 areas and 23 questions, and SPSS 12.0 is used for statistical analysis. The results are elicited through the hypothesis testing, and some suggestions are made for the effective university library homepage service.

대학도서관 참고정보서비스업무의 CD-ROM 데이터베이스 활용에 관한 현황 분석

본 연구에서는 국내 주요 대학도서관에서의 참고정보서비스를 위한 CD-ROM 활용 현황을 조사 분석함으로서 CD-ROM의 이용을 통하여 보다 효율적인 참고정보서비스 체제를 수립하는데 도움이 될 수 있는 기초적 자료를 제공함에 그 목적을 두었다. 전국적으로 장서수 20만권 이상을 보유하고 있는 대학도서관 66곳을 대상으로 하여 질문지에 의한 우편조사로 자료를 수집하였다. CD-ROM 활용의 일반적 현황, 참고사서 및 이용자의 CD-ROM 검색과 관련되는 제 문제들, CD-ROM 이용의 전반적 추세 등이 조사되었으며 조사결과를 바탕으로 하여 참고정보서비스에의 효율적인 CD-ROM 활용방안을 제시하였다. This study intended to examine and analyze current status of CD-ROM use in reference and information service in major university libraries. 66 university libraries with holdings of over 200,000 were selected throughout the country, and questionnaires were sent out by mail for data collection. Current status of CD-ROM use, some issues and problems on CD-ROM searching by reference librarians and users, and future trends of CD-ROM use were examined. Few suggestions were made for the effective CD-ROM use in reference and information service.
