The Study for Design of Korean Traditional Medicinal Herb Garden - Focused on the 8th Sancheong-gun Oriental Medicinal Festival Design -

As the increasing concern for the health, the concern for the oriental medicine, and medical herb has been increased by the modern person. Sancheong-gun has held annually the oriental medical herb festival from 2001. The 8th Sancheong-gun Oriental Medical Herb Festival has the theme, “Clean Sancheng Taking the Sky, and Medical Herb Festival Taking the Health". This study was progressed by the request of Sancheong-gun Oriental Medical Business Group, and the design and construction of Theme Center of Sancheong-gun Oriental Medical Herb Festival were progressed together. The spatial range of this study was Sancheon Gymnasium which was located at Byeongjeong-ri Sancheong-eub Sancheong-gun Gyeongsangnam-do, and the Theme Center of the 8th Sancheong-gun Oriental Medical Herb Festival which was located around Gyeongho River. The period of study was from April 22, 2008 to June 10, 2008. The practical exposition period of the Oriental Medical Herb Festival was from May 2, 2008 to May 9, 2008. The process of this study was the analysis of present condition, planning, design, and construction. As the computer program for the design, Auto CAD 2004 program was used for the spatial ground plan and the cross-sectional view, and the elevation was prepared by 3DS Max 7 program, and the image correction work was performed by Photoshop CS program. The result of this study is the following. As the analysis of present condition, the size of theme center was 1,500m2, and the height of the pole of tent both sides was 4m, and central pole was 7m. The center was constructed by the white tent. The concept of the design included the plant materials and local speciality in Sancheong-gun related to the oriental medicine to present the image of oriental medical herb festival, and had the medical herb garden and the exhibition space. The general atmosphere was the theme park. The oriental medical herb festival held from the 1st to 7th was directed for the exhibition showing the oriental medical herb of specializing type and the speciality in Sancheong-gun. But the design was applied the theme and the general atmosphere was directed with unification. The space that the visitors could touch the oriental medicine directly, could taste the medical tea, could pass the wall of medicine pot figure, could perform the face-painting, and could take a Figure in the photo-zone was prepared, and the active experience could be performed.

Finding informative genes from microarray gene expression data using FIGER-test

Microarray gene expression data is believed to show the functions of living organism through the gene expression values. We have studied a method to get the informative genes from the microarray gene expression data. There are several ways for this. In recent researches to get more sophisticated and detailed results, it has used the intelligence information theory like fuzzy theory. Some methods are to add fudge factors to the significance test for more refined results. In this paper, we suggest a method to get informative genes from microarray gene expression data. We combined the difference of means between two groups and the fuzzy membership degree which reflects the variance of the gene expression data. We have called our significance test the Fuzzy Information method for Gene ExpRession data(FIGER). The FIGER calculates FIGER variation ratio and FIGER membership degree to show how strongly each object belongs to the each group and then it results in the significance degree of each gene. The FIGER is focused on the variation and distribution of the data set to adjust the significance level. Our simulation shows that the FIGER-test is an effective and useful significance test.

Role of the Immune System in the use of Probiotic Lactic Acid Bacteria in Preventing and Treating Allergic Diseases

The immune system is generally divided into the innate and the adopted immune systems, both protecting the body from pathogens. Recently, allergies, a disease associated with an imbalanced immune system, have increased rapidly in developed countries. Prevailing symptoms of allergic diseases are eczema, allergic rhinitis, asthma, inflammatory bowel disease,and food allergy. Probiotic bacteria, mainly consisting of lactic acid bacteria, are used in the prevention and treatment of allergic diseases. The function of them is to stimulate the intestinal immune cells and form a complex signal network to activate other immune cells. Beneficial health effects of probiotics are based on the hygiene hypothesis, which suggests that sanitary environment is important for health, but limited exposure to environmental factors increases allergic diseases. An immunoregulatory effect of probiotic bacteria is demonstrated by controlled trial, animal model, in vitro, in vivo and ex vivo designs. However, the immunoregulatory effect of probiotic bacteria is controversial because it depends on probiotic strains,a dose and a type of diseases. In this review, we discussed clinical evidences on immunoregulatory effects of probiotic bacteria.

The judicial system is a very important system that is the base of a country. Even now, the prosecution and the police are competing for investigative power in Korea. And heated debates on the introduction of jury system or lay judge system, and adoption of law school system to replace the current judicial examination continue and these matters are to be decided by the extraordinary session of National Assembly in February 2007. To examine how the judicial system has been developed over time in Korea, it is necessary to examine the judicial system under the Japanese rule. The separation of executive power and the judicial power was brought by Kabo Reforms in 1894 in Korea. With the enactment of the Development of Court Act on March 25, 1895, modern court system was established. However, with the establishment of Korean Empire in 1897, executive officers temporarily took the posts of judges and the court system moved backward as of the emperor and higher level executives' control on courts strengthened. After the Japanese occupation, the United States Military Army Government was established. Finally with the establishment of Korean government on August 15, 1948, the judicial branch obtained its independence. The Japanese occupation period can be divided into two; From Eulsa Treaty in 1905 to Japan Korea Annexation Treaty in 1910, and the period after that. The judicial system under the Japanese rule and its effects on Korea are examined in the following. The origin of the power struggle between the prosecution and the police can be found in the Japanese occupation period. This study is a step to find the present from the past.

루돌프 스멘트의 統合理論(Ⅰ) : 統合의 槪念과 種類를 중심으로 Der Begriff und die Arten der Integration

In den zwanziger Jahren des neunzehten Jahrhunderts wurde die Integrationslehre Rudolf Smends durch den Ubergang von der Monarchie zur Weimarer Republik in der deutschen Verfassungsgeschichte aufgetreten. Aber diese ist weder alles der Verfassungslehre noch das Vertretenstheorie der Demokratie. Warum soll der Staat die Volker integrieren und dadurch die wahre Integration erreichen? Damals kritierte Smend das bisherige Rechtspositivismus und behauptete die geiftwissenschaftliche Methode in der Staatsrechtslehre. In dieser Aufsatz werden der Begriff und die Arten der Integration Smends im allgemeinen vorgestellt. Der Inhalt dieser Aufsates ist wie folgend, Ⅰ. Vorrede Ⅱ. Der Begriff der Integration 1. Zum SchluB Nachdem Smend bezieht sich die Staatsrechts-Staatslehre auf file ein Teil der geistige Wirklichkeit. Die Gebildung der geistigen Gruppe ist nicht als die Wirklichkeit der statisrhen Substanz, sondern das reale-geistige Leben und die Sinneinheit der geitige Behandlung im Staatsleben. Smend will auf diesem Grund die Volker in dem geistigen Leben des Staates integrieren. Er teilt die Integationsart drei Arten, d.h. die personliche -, funktionelle -, sachliche Integration. Von der personlichen Integration aus wird der Fruher, besonders der Monarch des Staates bedeutet, von der funktionellen Integration aus das ProzeB des Staatslebens, z.B. Wahl, Parlamentarismus, Mehrheitsprinzip usw., und von der sachlichen Integration aus der gemeinsame Wertbestand einer politischen Gemeinschaft. Jede Integrationsart enthalt auch viele Probleme. In der personlichen Integration will Smend durch den Wert der「mythenhaften Substanz」des Monarchen die Volker integrieren. In der funktionellen Integration behauptet or die Verminderung der Integrationen der Volker durch die Verhaltnis-Geheimniswahl. Daran kann man den Antidemokratischen Gedanken Smends erkennen. Das Faschismus ist in der Tat ein Schatzhaus der Integrationslehre Smends. Smend steht auch im Gegensatz zu der kausalen Gesetzlichkeit und des Parlamentarismus. Aber was Smend bedeutet, gibt es kein Neues wie in der bisherigen Staatsrechts-Staatslehre. Es ist nur die eine der Souveranitatstheorie. In dieser Aufsatz wird nur, was uber zur funktionellen Integration von drei Arten der Integration ist, vorgestellt. Was uber nach der sachlichen Integration ist, wird im nachsten Zeitschrift gelaufen werden.

"法의 支配" 원리가 韓國 憲法과 日本 憲法에 미친 영향

Since World War Ⅱ, Korea and Japan have been influenced by Euro-Germanic Law but some parts the two countries were influenced by 'the rule of law' of British & American Law. Therefore, this influence will be compared in this essay. There are three important principles in 'the rule of law' of Diecy. The first is, the supremacy of the regular law; the second, the equality before the law; and the third, the general rules of the constitution is the result of the ordinary law. The supremacy of the regular law is related to §27,2, §75, § 107Ⅱ, §37Ⅱ in Korean Constitutional Law; the equality before the law is related to §11, § 101, 1, §107Ⅱ in Korean Constitutional Law; the quote, "the general rules of the constitution are the result of the ordinary law" is the difference between the deduction and the induction in the construction of the constitutional law and the case law. The principle of 'the rule of law' means the liberty from the State, too. 'The rule of law' also effects the judical review of Korea and Japan. In Korean Constitutional Law, §107,Ⅰ, §111, Ⅰ, 1, §113, Ⅰ is related to this 'rule of law'. In Japanese Constitutional Law, §81, §98 Is related to it. The provisions of 'due process' and 'equality' are included in 'the rule of law'. This concept can be expanded upon to explain the modern construction of social welfare and is related to §12, 1, 2, §13, Ⅰ of Korean Constitutional Law and §31 of Japanese Constructional Law. Therefore, it can be said that Korea and Japan have been influenced by 'the rule of law' of British & American Law.
