Purpose: This study was designed to investigate the effects of treadmill exercise on functional recovery after rat with experimental SCI. Methods: SCI was induced by the NYU-spinal cord impactor(NYU, USA) dropped a weight of 10 gm after laminectomy. Experimental groups were divided into the Group I (normal), Group II (control) and Group III(treadmill exercise). After 2 days of the operation, 24 rats(group II, III) were trained to walk on treadmill for 21 days twice/day, 15 min/session. After operation, rats were tested at modified Tarlov scale at 1, 2, 3, 4 days with divided into 2 groups, and Motor behavior test(BBB locomotor rating scale, Grid walking test, Narrow beam crossing test, Modified inclined plane test) was examined at 1, 3, 7, 14 and 21 days. Histopathological study were performed at 1. 3, 7, 14 and 21 days by H&E, Luxol Fast Blue staining were same times. Results: After SCI an improvement of motor behavior was shown group II, III. The motor behavior test of group Ill showed considerable improvement until 14 days. Conclusion: These results suggest that treadmill exercise treatment can playa role in facilitating recovery of locomotion following spinal cord injury.
소규모 공동주택의 세대 칸막이 벽체의 차음성능 기준설정에 관한 연구

The continuously increasing number of the 1 or 2-member-households causes sharp increase of the small single-room apartments. However, because to the middle and large apartments and the small apartments, the same standards of noise insulation are applied when building them, it is true that the possible problems between housing units cannot be resolved. Also, the residence culture is under the change at the moment from the multi-room to the single-room residences. However, the small apartments are dividing the units with single walls which are not consistent with the reality. So, the residents suffer from infringement of the right of comfort occurring between neighbor households. The results from this study are expected to be used as an elementary material for making policies regarding the party walls between the housing units and for designing the small apartments and a reference for studies of the general information users, such as operators of buildings.
비정질 Ni-Ti-C합금의 원자단위 모델링과 기계적 성질 연구

Ni-Ti(Nitinol), known for a shape memory alloy as well as metallic glass, has properties of super elasticity and shape memory. In this study, we make the model of amorphous Ni-Ti-C system. To perform atomistic simulation for the Ni-Ti-C ternary system, modified embedded-atom method(MEAM) interatomic potential is developed based on the previously developed MEAM potentials for unary and binary systems. Elastic constants and cohesive energy for Ni-Ti-C system model is calculated using the proposed potential. Based on results from the simulation, we analyse effects of adding carbon impurities into Ni-Ti system and know that the uniaxial elastic constant increase
열적 활성화 반응 데이터 분석 오류 최소화에 대한 제언

The value of experimentally obtained data becomes highest when they are properly analyzed based on valid logics. Many physical and chemical properties such as electrical and magnetic properties, chemical reaction rates, etc. are known to be thermally activated; thus, a proper understanding of thermally-activated processes is of importance. However, there are still a number of papers published with falsely analyzed data. In this contribution, we would like to revisit the meaning of thermallyactivated processes, and then reanalyze a data set published misinterpreted. By showing a step-by-step procedure for the reanalysis, we would like to help researchers who may come across such data in the future not to make mistakes in their analysis. 연구를 통해 산출하는 실험 데이터의 가치는 그 데이터를 합리적 가설을 바탕으로 정확하게 분석했을 때 빛난다. 재료 분야의 연구자들이 접하는 실험 데이터의 상당수가 열적 활성화 과정을 통해 발현되는 물리 화학적 특성 값이다. 하지만 열적 활성화 과정에 대한 오해로 인해 잘못된 분석 결과를 도출하고 이를 통해 잘못된 결론을 보고하는 경우가 많다. 본 논문에서는 열적 활성화 과정의 의미를 다시 한번 살펴본 뒤, 실제 잘못 해석된 채로 출간되었던 데이터를예시로 분석 결과의 유효성을 판단하는 기준에 대한 논의 및 재분석하는 과정을 단계적으로 보여줌으로써 향후 유사한 데이터를 획득했을 시 정확한 분석을 진행할 수 있는 역량을 기르는 데 목적을 두고 있다.
당뇨병증 골절렛트의 골치유 과정에서 맥동성 초음파가 미치는 영향

Purpose: The study to pulsed ultrasound effects of diabetes mellitus fracture model in rat. Methods: We used 36 Sprague-Dawely rats which were divided into 3 groups; the animals were divided into group of 4 rats each 4th, 14th and 28th days. All animal was induced diabetes mellitus model to used streptozotocin with 45 mg/kg. Pulsed wave were divided into $50\;mW/cm^2$ and $100\;mW/cm^2$. Results: T-ALP value was significantly change from group II, III on 14th, 28th days (p<0.05). Especially T-ALP value to between groups was significantly change from group II on 14th days (p<0.05). Osteocalcin value was significantly change from group II on 28th days(p<0.05). At fracture site, osteoblast, osteoclast expression was observed from 4th days after treatment and it reached its maximum intensity at 28th days. At fracture site, $TGF-{\beta}_1$ expression was observed from 4th days after treatment and it reached maximum intensity at 14th days. Conclusion: According to this study, diabetes mellitus fracture model to the more effective is divided into $50m\;W/cm^2$ pulsed ultrasound.
항공기용 스트링거 제작을 위한 브레이드 복합재료의 물성에 관한 연구

본 논문에서는 항공기용 스트링거(Stringer)로 사용하기 위한 브레이드 복합재료(Braided composites)의 물성에 대해 연구하였다. 브레이드 프리폼(braid preform)을 30°, 45°, 60°로 제작하기 위해 드럼 와인더 속도, 브레이드 속도, 멘드럴 직경과 같은 공정변수들을 정량화시켰고, 에폭시 수지 종류를 TGDDM, YD-128로 브레이드 프리폼에 다르게 적용하여 각도에 따른 브레이드 복합재료의 인장강도, 굽힘강도를 섬유부피분율에 따라 규명하였으며, TGA 분석으로 열적 특성과 에폭시 수지의 분해 온도를 조사하였다. 그 결과 브레이드 프리폼의 각도가 낮을수록 인장강도와 굽힘강도가 향상됨을 확인하였고, 분자량이 높은 에폭시 수지를 사용할 때 물리적 성질이 향상되었다. In this paper, we have studied the physical properties of braided composites for use as aircraft stringers. Process variables such as drum winder speed, braid velocity, and mandrel diameter for 30°, 45° and 60° braid preforms were quantified and different epoxy resin types were applied to the braided preform using TGDDM, YD- 128. Physical properties such as tensile strength and flexural strength of braided composites were investigated. Thermal properties and decomposition temperature of epoxy resin were investigated by TGA analysis. As a result, the lower the angle of the braid composites, the higher the tensile strength and the Flexural strength. The physical properties of braided composites fabricated using TGDDM epoxy resin were superior to the physical properties of braided composites fabricated using YD-128 epoxy resin. This is because the molecular weight of TGDDM epoxy resin was higher than that of YD-128 epoxy resin.

The demand for high performance multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) has rapidly increased keeping up with the recent trends in electronics seeking better performance per volume. It follows that thinning of dielectric layers of MLCC and atomization of powders have become two most challenging issues these days. However, it is well known that these two approaches are not free from reliability issues. In this brief review, we introduce the commonly accepted models that explain how dielectric materials fail during operation and how to evaluate the lifetime of MLCCs with a real world example.
