This study aims to investigate in the assessment of salt damage conditions in concrete structures under marine environment conditions. It aims also to improve the durability of new concrete bridge through applying the life prediction method of salt damaged bridges. As measuring chloride contents of these bridges on the southwest coastal area, it is shown that the average amount of chloride on these surfaces close to shore is 10.5 kg/㎥. This figure is much higher than that of the Standard Specification for Concrete(1.5 kg/㎥∼2.5 kg/㎥). In contrast, it is shown the average amount of chloride on these surfaces in tide zone is 13.1 kg/㎥. Its figure is much lower than that of the Standard Specification for Concrete(20 kg/㎥). And the life of bridges is estimated about 17 years. To improve the durability for salt damage, these bridges are applied to surface treatment method which the replacement rate of furnace slag is 60%. Under this condition, it is expected to be 110 years. Consequently, it is clear that the use of slag replacement rate, surface treatment agent, and anti-corrosion agent to control chloride penetration effects of a submerge-based concrete bridge will be required.

Many of the researchers have tried to enhance the satisfaction of both users and owners of bridge structures by applying the asset management methodology. This study is to develop more efficient the level of service and asset value evaluation for bridge management by the fuzzy theory. Based on various literature review, an asset management procedure for bridge management was suggested, and appropriate practices at each step were given. The suggested procedures include the determination of operation and maintenance strategy, level of service, performance measure, valuation of assets, and decision-makings. In addition, this study suggests an applicable decision-makings process for the resource distribution based on the management strategy. the fuzzy fault tree analysis(FFTA) model with application of fuzzy logic method is proposed. predicting result shows high accuracy. The proposed FFTA model is analyzed to evaluate level of service and asset value evaluation with a change of performance measure. As the result, the proposed FFTA model can be used to design the level of service and asset value evaluation for bridge asset management.

In this study, on the basis of the results of the field survey and the theoretical consideration for Korean Standard Specification for concrete durability and maintenance, the following conclusions are derived. From the survey, the prediction equation of carbonation depth for the southwest region in Korea is experimentally proposed, y _{p=5.865 sqrt {t}}, which predicts about 60mm of the carbonation depth for the concrete structures of 100 years, a 1st class of target endurance period, under a combined deterioration environment like a marine environment. Considering that the marginal value for a carbonation depth limitation under very severely marine environment is 25mm, in accordance with the Specification, it is found that the predicting carbonation depth for the concrete cover depths, 100mm and 60mm are 63mm and 29.4mm, respectively. In conclusion, according to the equation and the Specification, it is strongly required that the reinforced concrete structures with the cover depth under 100mm have to make a protection from combined deterioration factors by any methods like a surface coating, an increment of cover depth or an application of a special concrete.

In this thesis, the relationship between the load carrying capacity and the transformed impact factor of the highway bridges were studied. The bridges are classified according to superstructures type. The result of the com-parison between the load carrying capacity and the transformed impact factor, if the load capacity ration of 0.57, the transformed impact factor was less in order of RC T-beam bridge, RC slab bridge, PC beam bridge, I-beam bridge. By the regression analysis on these results, the empirical formulae to predict the the load carrying capacity of bridge were suggested.
연속 콘크리트 슬래브교의 경간별 내하력 평가 비교에 관한 연구

본 연구에서는 도로교의 경간별 내하력을 고찰하기 위하여 연속 콘크리트 도로교에 대한 구조해석과 재하시험을 수행하였다. 재하시험은 정적시험과 동적시험으로 수행하였고, 중앙경간과 외측경간에서 수직처짐량을 각각 측정하였으며, 구조해석 결과로부터 교량의 최대휨모멘트와 수직처짐량을 계산하였다. 구조해석과 재하시험결과로부터 중앙경간과 외측경간에 대한 응력보정계수, 환산충격계수 및 내하력을 각각 고찰하였다. In this thesis, field tests and structural analysis were performed on a continuous concrete slab bridge to investigate the variation of the load carrying capacity for span type. Static tests and dynamic tests were used in field tests, the vertical displacement were measured in the middle span and the side span, respectively. And from the structural analysis results, the maximum bending moment and the vertical displacement in the bridge were calculated. According to the field test and structural analysis results, composite action factor, TIF and load carry capacity were studied in the middle span and the side span, respectively.

최근 연륙 및 연도교의 건설계획의 추진이 시행 내지는 계획되고 있는 단계에서 해상 장대교량의 적용사례가 점차 증가함에 따라 상부하중조건이 더욱 커지고 있으며, 이에 부합하는 우물통기초와 같이 대형화된 기초형식이 빈번히 적용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 우물통기초 시공 중 과다한 누수에 따른 원인을 검토하고 효율적인 공사추진이 되도록 그 대책을 제안하였다. Recently, many sea-crossing long-span bridge construction for Land-Island and Island-Island connection are planned, under way or completed. Accordingly, a superstructure load is unavoidably increased and therefore the enlarged foundation type such as an open caisson foundation has been frequently demanded. This paper proposed the measures for leaking water into the foundation under construction based on the analysis for the potential causes.
