        거제도 연안해역의 어류 종조성

        A total of 43 species, 493 individuals, and 89,367.1g of fishes were collected by a gill net in the coastal water off Goeje Island. Samples were collected by bimonthly from February to October, 1996. The dominant species were Stephanolepis cirrhifer, Ditrema temmincki, Hexagrammos otakii, Limanda yokohamae, Sebastes schlegeli, Paralichthys olivaceus, which accounted for 61.7% of the total numbers and 66.3% of biomass of fish collected. Fishes collected in the study area were mainly consisted of coastal species, but a few fishes were migratory species including Stephanolepis cirrhifer, Pleuronichthys cornutus, Paralichthys olivaceus, Thamnaconus modestus, Pagrus major, Engraulis japonicus. The number of species and abundance showed a peak in October, and low in February. Monthly species diversity indices ranged between 1.99 and 2.81, and high in June.

        경상북도 영일만에 분포하는 이매패류의 자원조사

        Bivalves collected by a dredge in Yeongil Bay of Gyeongsangbuk-Do Province, Korea in May, 2010 and August, 2010 were 2 species including Dostinorbis japonicus and Scapharca broughtonii. The total abundance of bivalves were 1,703 inds. and 140.9 kg. Among them, the abundance of D. japonicus were 1,198 inds. and 76.1 kg. And the abundance of S. broughtonii were 505 inds. and 64.8 kg. The shell length by bivalves species were 25.76-67.88 mm (mean, 58.08 mm) in D. japonicus and 46.82-113.74 mm (mean, 76.86 mm) in S. broughtonii consisting mainly of recruitment group. By regional abundance comparison, the bivalves abundance collected in the outside harbor was 1,332 inds. and 105.4 kg, which was much more than that of the inside harbor indicating 371 inds. and 35.5 kg. In terms of size, the bivalves collected in the outside harbor were 49.49-67.88 mm (mean, 58.47 mm) in D. japonicus and 48.21-113.74 mm (mean, 77.48 mm) in S. broughtonii, which were larger than those of the inside harbor. The yearly biomass of the main commercial target species, S. broughtonii by swept area method (SAM) was estimated up to 242.1 tons. However, considering the regional differences of bivalves between the inside harbor and the outside harbor by abundance and size comparison, it might have been overfished to bivalves in the inside harbor. 조사기간 동안 경상북도 영일만 내의 총 6개 정점에서 채집된 패류는 피조개와 떡조개 2종 이었다. 패류의 총 채집개체수에서는 1,703마리, 총 생체량은 140.9 kg이었는데, 이중 떡조개가 개체수 1,198마리 (생체량 76.1 kg), 피조개가 개체수505마리 (생체량 64.8 kg) 이었다. 채집된 주요 패류의 각장범위는 떡조개가 25.76-67.88 mm (평균, 58.08 mm), 피조개가 46.82-113.74 mm (평균, 76.86 mm) 로서 성숙한 개체들이었다. 주요 패류의 해역별 채집량에 있어서는 항외지역이 개체수 1,332마리 (생체량 105.4 kg) 로 항내지역의 개체수 371마리 (생체량 35.5 kg) 보다 많았다. 또한, 패류의 크기에 있어서도 항외지역의 패류가 항내지역보다 큰 경향을 나타내었다. 소해면적법에 의한 영일만 내의 피조개 현존량은242톤으로 산정되었으며, 어업인들에 의해 이용되고 있는 피조개의 연 생산량은 17.93-95.53톤이었다.

        제주도 연안 정치망 어획량 변동과 어기

        The fisheries resources of the set net fishery on four fishing grounds(Pyuong Dae, Gu Eum, Du Moah, Gang Jeong) in coastal waters of Jeju Island were studied to the determine catchvariation characteristics from January, 1998 to December, 1999. A total catch of 153,862㎏ was made through the survey period. The large total was related mainly to the high catch of Trachurus japonicus, which comprised 58.2% of the total. Other dominant species which account for 23.0% of the total catch were Siganus fuscescens, Todarodes pacificus, Loligo chinesis, Seriola lalandi, Sepioteuthis lessoniana, and Seriola quinqueradiata. Catch density was high in Gu Eum(more than 100,000㎏), whereas those in Pyuong Dae, Du Moah, and Gang Jeong were less than 30,000㎏ in total. The fishing period of the set net fishery was from April to December, which was also closely related to the variation of the sea water temperature in the fishing grounds. The ranges of water temperature in the four fishing grounds were 18∼26℃ in Pyuong Dae, 16∼26℃ in Du Moah, 15∼26℃ in Gu Eum, and 15∼26℃ in Gang Jeong.

        황아귀 , Lophius litulon 의 식성

        Stomach contents of 518 specimens of the yellow goosefish, Lophius litulon caught by the off-shore stownet in the southern waters of Korea were examined by means of the calculation of the frequency of occurrence, number and weight percentages, and index of relative importance (IRI) in each prey organisms. Prey organisms of the yellow goosefish consist of fishes, crustaceans, cephalopods. Fishes were dominant prey group, and occupied 98.8% in IRI of prey organisms. Four species of fish, Pseudosciaena manchurica, Collichthys niveatus, Engraulis japonica, Trichiurus lepturus were dominant as to the IRI and occupied 87.2% of the total IRI. P. manchurica was a dominant prey organism in predator`s stomach through the year, and the other dominant prey organisms occurred intermittently with seasonal progress. P. manchurica was a dominant prey organism to all fish size, too. C. niveatus and E. japonica decreased in importance in the diet as the fish size increased, concomitant with an increase in importance of T. lepturus. Mean species number and mean individual number of prey organisms increased with the fish size.

        한국근해 황아귀 , Lophius litulon 의 연령과 성장

        Age and growth of the yellow goosefish, Lophius litulon, were studied using sample collected from the southwestern waters of Korea. Vertebrae of the fish had relatively clear annuli on their surface. The opaque zone of vertebrae was formed once a year between March and April. The oldest fish observed in this study was 8 fears old for females and 5 years old far males. The relationship between the radius (R) of vertebral centrum and total length (L) was as fellows: L= 12.7+4.8R for females and L=9.8+5.6R for males, The relationship between total length and body weight (W) was as fellows: W= 0.0089L^(3.30311) far females and W=0.0329L^(2.7752) for-males. Growth in length of the fish was expressed by the von Bertalanffy`s equation as L=127.60 (1-e^-0.1228(t+0.3851)) for females and L_t=82.73 (1-e^-0.1832(t+0.6431)) males.
