        한국 뷰티서비스 산업의 현황과 예측

        This study attempted to find the areas to advance through an analysis and prediction of the statuses of “cosmetics wholesalers,” “cosmetics and fragrance retail,” “hair salons and barbershops,” “massage parlors,” and “other beauty related service industry” among the domestic “service industry total investigation.”As shown in the results, the national industry of “cosmetics wholesaler (G46443) has increased by 29% in 11 years and the participants increased by 33% in 2005-009. The changes of the beauty industry showed that the hair salons had the greatest increase in all areas and the skin beauty also consistently increased, but it was the greatest in Jeju Island with 53%. The prospect of the beauty industry is that the expenditures in each family for haircuts will increase with 28.8% by 2015 and the sales in beauty industry are expected to grow by 52.8% compared to 2007. The predictions of expenditures of each family showed that the expenditures of the two people household will be the greatest.

      • 미용관련 대학원의 설립에 관한 인식도 조사

        The present study conducted a survey of students in the Department of Beauty Culture and specialist in beauty concerning their perception on the establishment of graduate schools related to beauty culture and looked for the future direction of the development of graduate schools related to beauty culture. According to the result of the questionnaire survey, 37.2% of students and beauty artists were very positive to the establishment of graduate schools related to beauty culture and 52.6% were relatively positive, showing that both students and beauty professional are interested in graduate schools related to beauty culture. With regard to preferred types of graduate school, the respondents wanted balanced curriculum between theory and practice but did not show any particular preference between day and night school. Reasons for the respondents to hesitate in taking the graduate course were poor financial condition and dissatisfaction with curriculum. Beauty professional respondents and particularly 51.9% of skin care specialists also mentioned dissatisfaction with curriculum as the second biggest reason. This shows that there are not many curricula related to skin care. For the development of the graduate school of beauty culture, subjects should be divided into those of natural science and those of art so that students can study scientific theories as well as experience creative art. Moreover, active research activities should be promoted under the protection of the law so that people’s perception on beauty culture workers is changed and the working environment is improved and, as a consequence, many specialists in beauty culture may be raised. A new turning point will be made through cooperation among the academic circle, the area of beauty culture and the government’s policies.

      • 한․미FTA 협상에 따른 피부미용시장의 대응방안 고찰

        Today a global village has an active endeavor in increasing mutual interest FTA (Free Trade Agreement) between countries or regions with the same economic understanding, running parallel with a multilateral negotiation system of WTO pursuing global trade liberalization in accordance with a principle of multi-nationalism. Korea also concluded FTA Chile, Singapore, EFTA, ASEAN and USA and is negotiating FTA with Canada, Japan, India, Mexico and EU now, participating in such an international trade flow. Recently promoted FTA is treating a broad field as service, investment, intellectual property rights, manpower and more as well as goods trade. Therefore, the study made progress of researches only within service field of Beautytherapy and beauty industry on the basis of theoretical consideration about current status of Korea-America FTA. Korean Beautytherapy industry doesn't still grasp accurate data of domestic scale, number of employees, number of companies and the sales tendency by each period. A phased strategy is required to advance toward the world market, keeping Korean original things. Also, Korean should grasp the present situation more accurately and should have the government's support and strategies to promote people's interest in the Beautytherapy industry. Beautytherapy managers should change their consciousness to revitalize franchises. The author hopes that the study will be utilized to establish strategies of the skin care market changed in the future and is planning to conduct a continuous study to prepare plans of the skin care market which can cope with an effect of FTA negotiating with EU, ASEAN, Japan and China hereafter.

        K-beauty 서비스산업 소비지출의 영향요인 분석

        This study aims to propose for the K-beauty industry by analyzing the consumption situation. The data used the household trend survey and GDP from 06’ to 16’ provided by the National Statistical Office. The analysis results of the influencing factors of expenditure on the K-beauty service industry per household resulted in the increase of expenditure on hair and beauty services and their goods when ordinary income decreased, it was possible to understand the similarities between the change of Engel’s coefficient. It was difference in the proportion of consumption of beauty services account by income quintiles.The increase of the GNI had an effect on that of the consumption of K-beauty. The above results show that beauty service industry is relevant to the items of households’ income and expenditure. Plans are needed to take into account national economic trends and consumption patterns. 본 연구는 뷰티서비스 관련 소비실태를 분석하여 K뷰티 산업에 대한 발전 방안을 제시하였다. 통계청에서 제공하는 06‘-16’ 가계 동향조사 및 GDP 자료를 바탕으로 K-beauty 서비스산업 관련 소비지출 영향요인 분석을 실시하였다. 가구당 K-Beauty 관련 서비스 산업 소비지출 영향요인 분석 결과 이미용 서비스 소비지출과 위생 및 이미용용품 소비지출은 경상소득은 부(-)의 영향을 보여 엥겔지수의 변화와 유사한 소비 특성이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 소득분위별 이미용서비스 소비비중이 차이가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 1인당 국민소득의 증가는 K-Beauty 서비스산업 소비지출 증가에 정(+)의 영향을 나타냈다. 이상의 결과로 K-Beauty 산업의 소비는 가계수지 영향요인들의 영향하에 있음을 알 수 있었다. 국가기반산업으로 성장하기 위해서는 국가 경제동향과 소비패턴을 고려한 근시안적인 대안이 필요하다,

        미국 동북부 교외 저소득층 주택경향에 관한 사례 연구

        The purpose of this research is to examine the evolution of low-cost sales housing and give suggestions for the future housing for the 21st century. This paper investigates the trends of low-cost suburban housing since world War II, as examplified by the Levitt housing in the Northeastern regions of the States. This research analyzes the trends of 14 variables including total floor area. lot size, living room size, kitchen size, mean bedroom size, master bedroom size, number of bedrooms, number of bathrooms, family room, garage, number of story, appliances and features, values, and values per sq ft. Nine entry-level houses were chosen as cases for comparative purpose at different points in time from 1940's to 1990's. This research finds that house sizes have been grown until 1960s, but this trend has reversed with shrinking economy and changing family lifestyles. The trend for smaller housing equipped with several features and convenient equipments will be continued for the next decades to come.
