The performance and durability of Polymer Electrolyte Fuel Cells (PEFCs) are strongly influenced by the uniformity of current density, temperature, species distributions inside a cell In order to obtain uniform distributions in them, the optimal design of flowfield must be a key factor. In this paper, the numerical study of land/channel flowfield optimizations is performed, using a multi-dimensional, multi-phase, non-isothermal PEFC model. Numerical simulations reveal more uniform current density and HFR(High Frequency Resistance) distributions and thus better PEFC performance with narrower land/channel width where the less severe oxygen depletion effect near the land region and more uniform contact resistance variation along the in-plane direction are achieved. The present study elucidates detailed effects of land/channel width and assist in identifying optimal flow-field design strategies for the operation of PEFCs.

Using the multi-dimensional, multi-phase, nonisothermal Polymer Electrolyte Fuel Cell (PEFC) model presented in Part I, the effects of land/channel flow-field on temperature and liquid saturation distributions inside PEFCs are investigated in Part II. The focus is placed on exploring the coupled water transport and heat transfer phenomena within the nonisothermal and two-phase zone existing in the diffusion media (DM) of PEFCs. Numerical simulations are performed varying the land and channel widths and simulation results reveal that the water profile and temperature rise inside PEFCs are considerably altered by changing the land and channel widths, which indicates that oxygen supply and heat removal from the channel to the land regions and liquid water removal from the land toward the gas channels are key factors in determining the water and temperature distributions inside PEFCs. In addition, the adverse liquid saturation gradient along the thru-plane direction is predicted near the land regions by the numerical model, which is due to the vapor-phase diffusion driven by the temperature gradient in the nonisothermal two-phase DM where water evaporates at the hotter catalyst layer, diffuses as a vapor form and then condenses on the cooler land region. Therefore, the vapor phase diffusion exacerbates DM flooding near the land region, while it alleviates DM flooding near the gas channel.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of cosmetic cream containing Samwhangsejegamibang Extracts on Atopic dermatitis patients. Methods : A total of 51 patients who visited Wonkwang Oriental Medical Center from April 8th, 2011 to October 8th, 2011 were included in this study. In this study, the patients were treated with Samwhangsejegamibang (experimental group) and placebo group. We observed scorad index, IGA, moisture content of skin, oil content of skin, wrinkled skin and hematological examination for 4 weeks. Results : 1. Comparison of changes in Scorad Index, depending on the perspective, the experimental group showed a statistically significant decline than the placebo group. 2. Comparison of change in IGA, depending on the perspective, the experimental group showed a statistically significant decline than the placebo group. 3. Comparison of change in moisture content, oil content of skin and wrinkled skin, both the experimental group and the placebo group showed level elevation but there was no statistically significant change. 4. Comparison of change in IgE and Eosinophil, both the experimental group and the placebo group showed no statistical significance. Conclusions : Considering the above experiments, it is suggested that cosmetic cream containing Samwhangsejegamibang extracts have a positive effect on atopic dermatitis patients.
BIM 모델 활용을 위한 360° 카메라 이미지의 객체 탐지 알고리즘 정확성 비교 연구

최근 건설산업 분야에 BIM 기술의 활용이 보편화되면서 3D 모델과 실제 시공 부위의 오류 확인 등을 위해 다양한 객체 탐지 알고리즘들이 활용되고 있다. 객체 탐지 기술은 건축물, 교량, 터널 등 건설시설물의 종류에 따라 객체 특성이 상이하므로 객체 탐지 기술도 적절한 방법을 사용할 필요가 있다. 또한 객체 탐지를 위해서는 초기 객체 이미지가 있어야 하며 이를 위해서도 드론, 스마트폰 등 다양한 방법으로 이미지 취득이 가능하다. 본 연구에서는 철도와 도로 시설의 터널 부위에 대하여 초기 이미지 구축을 위해 터널 내부 촬영에 최적화된 360° 카메라를 이용하여 이미지를 촬영하고, 촬영된 이미지로부터 실제 객체를 탐지하기 위한 객체 탐지 방법론으로 YOLO 알고리즘, SSD 알고리즘 및 R-CNN 알고리즘을 적용하여 방법론별 객체 탐지의 정확도를 비교 분석한다. 분석 결과 Faster R-CNN 알고리즘이 SSD, YOLO v5 알고리즘에 비해 높은 인식률 및 mAP 값을 가졌으며 인식률들의 최소·최대 값의 차이가 작아 균등한 검측 능력을 나타냈다. 이러한 연구는 철도와 도로 시설공사에 BIM 적용이 확산되고 있는 점을 고려하면 360° 카메라의 활용 방법 확대와 유지보수를 위한 터널 시설 부위의 객체 탐지 방법론 적용에 활용될 수 있다.

Objective : We investigated the effects of Oriental medical treatment on psoriasis which is a chronic disease. Methods : We applied acupuncture and herbal medicine to psoriasis patients. The progress of symptom is calculated using PASI(psoriasis area and severity) score and degree of itching is checked 0 to 3. Results : After oriental medical treatment, patients recovered from psoriasis without side effect. Conclusion : Oriental medical treatment can be a very effective way to treat psoriasis. The more patients we treat, the more clinical report is accumulated. Then it would be helpful to map out a systematic treatment on psoriasis.

Background and Objective : Peritonsillar abscess occurs when the bacterial infection of the palatine tonsil spreads to the potential peritonsillar space deep behind the tonsil. We observed and treated a case of peritonsillar abscess patient from a child acute tonsillitis. We present this case because there were no former reports of peritonsillar abscess treated by herbal medicine. Methods : We used herbal medication for 24 days. We diagnosed the patient through abdominal examination and have decided the treatment principle accordingly. We used the visual analogue scale(VAS). Results : After the treatment the grade of VAS was decreased and clinical symptoms were improved. Conclusions : Gejigajagyak-Tang in considerably effective on the treatment of pus of peritonsillar abscess.
