In this Paper, we propose a efficient method for still image compression using wavelet transform. Wavelet transform has equivalent structure to subband filter and the coefficients of sub-images have different statistics. Conventional codings are vector quantization and scalar quantization. Vector quantization needs much time to make codeword. When codewords are increased in order to get high quality of image, searching time of codebook for decoding are increased. But scalar quantization needs less time than vector quantization because it performs multiplications for wavelet coefficients during encoding and decoding. In this paper, we propose a novel algorithm considering the characteristics of sub-image by wavelet transform and analyze the results.

본 논문에서는 기존에 ITU-T I.371에서 제시한 트래픽 감시 알고리즘이 갖고 있는 측정 위상 문제를 조명하고, 이를 개선한 셀 우선순위 기반의 트래픽 감시 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안한 알고리즘은 우선순위가 높은 셀의 손실을 감소시키며, 입력 트래픽의 다중화 및 역다중화 과정에서 발생되는 트래픽의 군집성을 해소할 수 있다는 장점을 갖고 있다. 또한, 제안한 알고리즘을 적용한 트래픽 감시 컨트롤러를 설계하였다. 그리고 트래픽 감시 컨트롤러를 구현함에 있어 가상시간 클럭의 개념을 사용하여 셀 도착시간을 계수하는 카운터의 랩-어라운드 문제를 완벽히 해결하였다.

현재 인터넷에서 사용하고 있는 네트워크 계층 프로토콜은 IP 버전 4 인데, 이러한 주소 부족 문제를 해결하고자 IP 주소 필드의 길이가 대폭 확장되는 IPv6 라는 새로운 인터넷 프로토콜을 개발하게 된다. 그러나 이러한 신 표준안을 인터넷에 실제로 적용하고 운영하기에는 많은 어려운 분제들이 남아있어 그 대안으로 NAT(Network Address Translation)[1]가 등장하게 된다. 그러나 이러한 NAT 기능은 외부 망으로부터의 접근이 불가능하다는 특성을 가지고 있다. 이러한 특성은 보안 유지측면에서는 장점으로 작용하나, 소규모 기업이나 사무실이 웹(Web) 서버(Server)나 메일(mail) 서버등을 두고 싶어하는 경우에는 외부에서의 접근이 허용되어야 하므로 단점이 된다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 단점을 극복하기 위하여 NAT 테이블(tab!e) 에 수정을 가함으로써 사설망 내부의 특정 서버에 접근할 수 있는 확장된 개념의 NAT를 제안하고자 한다. 아울러 이러한 NAT 기능을 이용하여 구성된 사설망 간의 연결기능을 제공할 수 있는 방법을 제안함으로써 기존의 가상 사설망(VPN : Virtual Private Network) 외 일부 기능도 수용할 수 있도록 하였다.

IP 주소 부족 문제를 해결하고자 주소 필드의 길이가 대폭 확장되는 IPv6 라는 새로운 인터넷 프로토콜을 개발하게 되지만, 이러한 신 표준안을 인터넷에 실제로 적용하고 운영하기에는 많은 어려운 문제들이 남아있다. 그 대안으로 NAT(Network Address Translation)이지만 외부 망으로부터의 접근이 불가능하다는 특성을 가지고 있다. 이것은 보안 유지측면에서는 장점으로 작용하지만, 소규모 기업이나 사무실이 웹서버나 메일서버 등을 사용하는 경우에는 외부에서의 접근이 허용되어야 하므로 단점이 된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 단점을 극복하기 위하여 NAT 테이블에 수정을 가함으로써 사설망 내부의 특정 서버에 접근할 수 있는 확장된 개념의 NAT를 제안한다. 아울러 이러한 NAT 기능을 이용하여 구성된 사설망 간의 연결기능을 제공할 수 있는 방법을 제안함으로써 기존의 VPN(Virtual Private Network)의 일부 기능도 수용할 수 있도록 한다. The insufficiency on IP address cause to develope a new internet protocol, IPv6 that the length of address field is expanded. But there are actually many problems on applying and operating this standard for internet. Though NAT(Network Address Translation) is instead of it, NAT has the characteristics that is not allowed to access from outside. This is a big merit in security but a week point because the access from outside should be allowed when a small organization operate web sever or mail server. Therefore, this paper proposes the expanded NAT which can solve such problems as modifying the table of NAT. Furthermore, the function of existing VPN(Virtual Private Network) will be acceptable partly through such a method that provide the linkage among VPNs.

In this paper, we research the OLSR(Optimized Link State Routing Protocol) of the mobile ad-hoc network protocols, and design the system implementation based on the Embedded Linux for the Ubiquitous Space construction. We prove the performance of proposed system in the various experiment environments through several scenarios which is about transmitting the image data on the mobile ad-hoc network environment

In this paper, for analysing the major factors giving the effect to the quality of HD level video on the multicasting service, we tried this test experiment on the College school network similar to the real service network environment. We measure the video quality distortion on the multicasting HD level video according to generating and increasing the broadcasting traffic on the situation that apply the QoS technique to the test network and not apply the QoS technique and then find out the threshold value of network factors giving the effect to the video quality distortion on the multicasting HD level video service. This paper can be used for guaranteeing the constant video quality and reducing the video quality distortion on the multicasting HD level video service.

This paper analyzed major factors affecting video quality in IPTV (Internet Protocol TV) services in multicasting under our lab network environment similar to practical IPTV service networks. We measured video qualities for the broadcasting traffics in IPTV multicasting with or without applying QoS (Quality of Service) technique. The measurements allowed us to extract thresholds of network measurement factors affecting the quality for the service. It will be a good choice that the factors can be a reference to ensure stable video quality for practical IPTV services in multicasting

휴대용 Http 라이브 스트리밍 전송기 구현에 관한 연구

In this Paper, We proposed the HLS(Http Live Streaming) transmitter which is operated easily and cheap in all networks and client environments compared to the exist video live streaming transmitter. We analyzed the HLS protocol and then implemented for making the HLS transmitter cheaper and portable. After designing the HLS transmitter hardware using the RISC processor of Arm11 core, we ported the Linux Operating System and implemented the HLS protocol using the open source FFmpeg and Segmenter. For the performance evaluation of the developed HLS transmitter, we made the testing environment which is including the notebook, iPhone, and aroid Phone. In this testing environment, we analysed the received video data at the client displayer. As a results of the performance evaluation, we could certify that the proposed HLS transmitter has a higher performance than the Apple company"s HLS.

In this paper, we propose an efficient bandwidth allocation algorithm in wireless network environment. The proposed algorithm fined the location of mobile terminal used TDOA(Time Difference of Arrival) scheme and performed bandwidth allocation differently. In case the new call is occurred, we estimate the most adjacent cell and other 2 adjacent cells. In most adjacent cell we allocate the high bandwidth and for the 2 adjacent cells we allocate low bandwidth. And we classified the traffic into real and non-real time service. If the remained bandwidth is not sufficient, we first accept the real time service. We evaluated the performance of proposed algorithm by simulation and have better results on blocking probability and dropping probability.
