      • USN 미들웨어에서 트라이 구조 쿼드 트리를 이용한 영역 질의 재구성 기법

        유비쿼터스 센서 네트워크(USN) 환경에서 사용자 중심의 서비스를 하기 위해서는 영역 질의 처리가 필수적이다. In-network 질의에서 영역 질의를 처리하는 방법으로 R-tree를 이용하는 방법이 선호되었다. 유비쿼터스 센서 네트워크 환경하에서는 센서의 수명이 전체 네트워크의 수멍을 좌우하기 때문에 질의가 전달될 센서를 정확하게 선별할 수 있어야 한다. 그러나, R-tree를 이용한 방법은 질의 영역과 MBR(Minimum Boundary Rectangle) 간의 교집합 연산에 의해 센서를 선별하기 때문에 실제 센서가 없는 영역임에도 불구하고 센서 값 측정을 요청하는 메시지를 전달하게 된다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 기지국의 미들웨어에 트라이 구조 쿼드 트리를 구축하여 이를 이용하여 정확하게 질의 영역에 포함되는 센서 노드들에게만 질의를 전달한다. 이 기법은 질의 수행시 R-tree를 이용한 방법보다 응답 시간이 늦어지지만, 필요한 센서 노드에만 정확히 질의를 전달하기 때문에 USN의 전력 소모를 감소시키는 장점이 있다. In ubiquitous sensor networks(USN) environment, it is essential to process region query for user-demand services. Using R-tree is a preferred technique to process region query for in-network query environment. In USN environment, USN middleware must select sensors that transfers region query with accuracy because the lifetime of sensors is that of whole sensor networks. When R-tree is used, however, it blindly passes the region query including non-existent sensors where MBR(Minimum Boundary Rectangle) of R-tree is Intersected by region of query. To solve in this problem, we propose a reconstruction of region query method which is a trie-structured Quad tree in the base station that includes sensors in region of query select with accuracy. We observed that the proposed method delays response time than R-tree, but is useful for reducing communication cost and energy consumption.

        Bauhaus, founded in Weimar, Germany in 1919, represented Modernism which is proven in the field of art as well as architecture. Furthermore, in design field, Bauhaus is the essential historical event whose influence continues in contemporary design. Bauhaus furniture is simple and austere and has linear shapes which are suitable for mass production. Bauhaus developed functional furniture design such as knock-down and pre-fabricated furniture. In terms of finishes, Bauhaus furniture epitomizes the influence of De Stijl which used either achromatic colors and three primary colors or natural finishes of wood. Bauhaus contributed to furniture design field as below. 1. Success in mass-produced furniture through standardization and pre-fabrication 2.         독일베르크분트 가구의 특성분석

        Deutsche Werkbund, founded in 1907 and closed by Nazis in 1934, is affected on German economic growth and industry The purpose of the association was the improvement of industrial materials as emphasizing the close relationship between artists and industrialists. The group is developed within the contrast idea of Hermann Muthesius who wanted the standardization of industries and of Henry van der Velde who wanted the freedom of artistic expression based on individualism. The furniture of DWB in terms of function exemplifies remarkable structures compare to furniture existed eyer before. The use of such functional elements as shelves, casters and drawers in rectangular forms is notable. And the form make it possible to utilize in small spaces. Thus, the furniture of DWB represents such standards in industrial design as simple, and geometric forms without any ornamentation.

        독일 현대가구의 특성 분석 ($1946{\sim}2005$)

        German furniture design had been downward in trend after Bauhaus closed and through the War. Meanwhile Italy emerged as a center in furniture industry after the Second World War. After the Unification in 1989, however, German furniture still play predominant role in the world since they have their own unique quality and territory. This study explores the significance of German furniture design by three different eras-Post-war recession (1946-1965), Arising times (1966-1989), Contemporary (1990-2005)-and categorized the major characteristics are summarized as in the below. First, function oriented design Second, pursuing perfection of technology Third, simplicity and purity of design.

        가구공동브랜드 가보로의 전략분석

        A joint brand of furniture companies named Gaboro has been officially launched in the form of a juridical foundation. It was invested by Seoul City and the union members for regenerating the furniture companies in Seoul on August 1, 2003. However, Gaboro still has a few problems to overcome for successful business from joint marketing. Firstly, Gaboro must create a R&D post in order to lead the member companies through consistent production of furniture in addition to engraving its brand. Secondly, the head office of Gaboro must be authorized to prevent each union member from manufacturing the furniture products not well suited to the fresh brand. In addition, the member companies justly need to regulate the product items, and simultaneously to accept the new image concepts. Lastly, Gaboro needs to launch unique items to discriminate its design from other competitive companies.

        장롱의 부분명칭 연구

        This study focuses on wardrobes to examine how the terms have been changed by comparing traditional Korean furniture in Chosun Dynasty and contemporary furniture since the traditional furniture terms and forms have been changed like our life culture. For chests and wardrobes, approximately 26 terms were used in Chosun Dynasty. However, only five of them are currently used for top panels, hinges, drawers, mirrors, and columns. For bedroom cabinets, 27 terms are used and 4 of them are changed with the same meaning. The change of the terminology results from the life culture mostly. While the Chosun Dynasty furniture terms were mostly presented as the Korean and Chinese language, in the contemporary furniture ones Korean and Chinese together with English are used. The English terms' usage results from hardwares imported from overseas. The terms derived from the three different languages are presented not only in the wardrobes but also other pieces generally.

        가정용 가구의 색채에 관한 소비자 연구

        The survey of consumers’ recognition of home furniture colors was conducted targeting 32 males and 68 females from 20’s to 60’s. The results are as follows. The first, in terms of colors, when they were asked of where was the most important place in a house, the first place they thought of was the color of wallpaper and the second was the color of furniture. The second, in terms of home furniture colors, a sofa was put the most importance on and a living room dresser was the next. The third, they preferred natural wood color as home furniture and the next color was achromatic colors. The forth, the most preferred wood color was a walnut and the next was a ginkgo tree color. The fifth, the most preferred color was white and the next was tertiary colors when they were asked to paint their home furniture. The sixth, 88% participants in the survey responded that home furniture colors would much influence on our lives. In conclusion, most consumers recognize the importance of furniture colors and they prefer the use of hardwood for a natural feeling as long as they can afford.

        고려시대 가구재료 연구

        This paper studied the materials of the furniture which the noble men used in Goryeo, based on the furniture material category of solid wood furniture, lacquerware inlaid with mother-of-pearl and hardware. As for the solid wood furniture, the wood and furniture types are inferred based on the documents. The trees used for the wood furniture were zelkova, korean willow, pine, royal paulownia, maidenhair tree, korean pine, chinese juniper and elm. The furniture types were table, chair, wooden bench, small portable table, writing table, and folding screen. As to the types of lacquerware inlaid with mother-of-pearl, most of them were hams with top, which were made of abalone shells. The features of the lacquerware inlaid with mother-of-pearl were in detail and elaborate like the pattern of the full bloomed chrysanthemum. Writing tables were also made of lacquerware as pieces of furniture. Distinctively, the mother-of-pearl furniture material was popular enough to be used even in a horse saddle. Regarding the metal feldspar used as both a practical use and decoration, there are drop handle, hinge, the front basis, and lock seen in the artifacts, which were made of cast iron, bronze, and brass. Their manufacture techniques were eojamoon, bratticing and sheet metal. Through this study of the furniture materials used in Goryeo, it seems that Goryeo furniture focused on the functions rather than on the decorations, and in turn the forms were simple and basic. The technique of mother-of-pearl, a bit elaborate one, was used in the props furniture like kitchen wares, hams, or writing talbes. Probably, the solid wood is inferred to be used in a low wooden bench, a chair, and a table based on the documents.

        한국 가구 하드웨어 변화 연구

        This article was intended as fundamental materials to recognize the current status of furniture hard ware in Korean market and to fix the identity of Korean furniture, by investigating and comparing the furniture hard ware used in the Joseon era and in modern times by type, function, shape and material. The analysis of furniture hard ware of the Joseon era and modern times from the view of functional aspects was oriented to the hard ware necessary to open and close the door & drawer on one side, and to that being attached to the main body of furniture not to scratch the wood by another wood on the other side, and from this the following conclusion was drawn. First of all, “Gwangdoojung” - a kind of spike- and metal decoration on the edge of the furniture disappeared, while the function-oriented hard wares have been diversified in modern times, from the perspective of the change of kinds. Second, the functional aspect of the furniture hard ware was emphasized in modern times than the Joseon era. In other words, the hard wares of the Joseon era came into view due to their strong appeal to decoration, whereas those of modern times were mostly hidden or moderated, keeping the function substantially. Third, the hard wares from the Joseon era were shown in concrete and detailed shape motivated by natural objects and furthermore even gloriously, but the modern hard wares are simple & basic geometry, from a formative point of view. Fourth, the material aspects present that the Joseon era’s hard ware was mainly cast iron, whereas that of modern times shows the diversification from metal to even plastic. Finally, the recent trend in naming of the hard wares is the words of foreign origin. This resulted from that the foreign names of hard wares are valid also after import process in Korean market, so the domestic development of hard ware as the essential factor for the furniture design is urgently necessary to establish the identity of Korean modern furniture.
