        능동적 지능형 가상 비서의 사용자 경험 연구 : Google의 'Nest Hub Max'를 중심으로

        본 연구는 능동적 IPA(지능형 가상 비서)가 탑재된 Google의 Nest Hub Max의 사용 행태별 사용자 경험 분석을 위한 질적 연구이다. 근거이론 방법론에 착안하여, 한 달 동안 해당 기기를 사용한 6명의 연구 참여자를 대상으로 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 총 186개의 개념이 추출되었으며, 24개의 하위 범주와 11개의 상위 범주로 정리되었다. 개방 코딩을 통해 축 코딩을 이용한 패러다임 모형을 제시하였고 선택 코딩을 거쳐 사용 행태 유형을 구분하였다. 그 결과, 능동적 IPA의 소극적 사용자와 적극적 사용자 유형을 도출하였으며, 유형별 해당 기기의 사용자 경험을 분석하였다. 유형별 다른 사용 행태의 패러다임을 보였으나 결론적으로 소극적 사용자와 적극적 사용자는 모두 해당 기기의 능동적 IPA로부터 긍정적인 사용 경험을 유발하지 못하였다. 본 연구는 앞으로 출시될 능동적 IPA가 탑재된 기기 및 서비스의 사용자 경험 설계를 위한 기초 자료를 제시하였다. This is a qualitative study about Google 'Nest Hub Max' that displays proactive intelligent personal assistant. Following the step of grounded theory, an in-depth interview for 6 users who had used this device for a month was taken. 186 concepts were discovered, categorized as 11 top-categories and 24 sub-categories. Paradigm diagram, considering axis-coding, was made and it have been narrowed down to 'Usage patterns' of proactive IPA, considering selective coding aspects. 'Usage patterns' were divided to passive and active user. Thus, neither passive user nor active user was satisfied about device and proactive IPA. This study is meaningful that it constructed basic data about the user experience of proactive IPA on this device. It will support the device or service that consists proactive IPA in the future.

        A.I 시대의 새로운 디자인 도구 사례 연구: 의자 디자인을 중심으로

        연구배경 본 연구에는 새로운 산업시대를 맞이함에 따라, 인공지능의 기술이 산업디자인의 분야에 어느 정도까지 영향을 주고 있는지 파악하고 인공지능을 새로운 디자인 도구로 맞이하게 된 디자이너를 위해 새로운 디자인 프로세스를 재정의하고 앞으로의 디자인 도구들이 갖춰야 할 요소의 파악을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법 문헌연구방법과 사례연구방법으로 진행하였다. 먼저 문헌연구를 통해 과거부터 현재까지의 산업혁명과 그에 따른 산업디자인의 디자인 프로세스의 변화를 의자 디자인 관점으로 조사하였다. 다음으로, 인공지능을 기반으로 한 디자인 소프트웨어와 생성 디자인을 조사하고 사례 연구를 진행하였다. 또한, 전통적인 디자인 프로세스와 인공지능 기반의 생성 디자인 프로세스를 비교분석하고 생성 디자인 소프트웨어의 한계점을 도출하였다. 연구결과 A.I 기반의 생성 디자인 소프트웨어의 등장으로 디자이너들은 더욱 빠르고 수월하게 작업할 수 있게 되었다. 하지만 높은 작업 효율성이 더 좋은 디자인을 결과하는 것은 아니었다. 생성 디자인 소프트웨어는 디자이너를 도와주는 크리에이티브 어시스턴트라는 부제를 지녔지만 실제로 디자이너들이 잃어서는 안될 조형적 창의성이나 독창성, 혹은 감성적인 부분까지 보조하는지는 미지수이며 서비스 연구와 개발 역시 아직은 미약한 상태이다. 결론 앞으로 개발될 생성 디자인 도구는 디자인을 해나가는 모든 과정에서 디자이너의 사용자에 대한 공감 능력을 증폭시켜줄 서비스를 개발함으로써 더 나은 협업을 위하여 발전되어야 한다. Background As a new industrial era begins, it is inevitable to understand how it affect to industrial design area. The purpose of this study is to qualify the new design process and element that new A.I based design tools should have by researching several changes of Industrial design area. Methods Both literature review and case study has been hold. For literature review, research for Industrial revolution in chronological order have been studied at first. Case study design software and generative design take next. Furthermore, limitation of software for generative design was deduced by comparing traditional design process and design process based on A.I. Results The appearance of software for generative design based on A.I let designers to work more effectively. Nevertheless, better working effectiveness did not mean better design. Software for generative design is known as creative assistant that helps designers, however, role for formative creativity or sensitivity was extremely tenuous and poorly researched. Conclusion New design tool for Generative design in the future has to take a role as a supporter to make better use of designers’ empathy ability and booster to better cooperate.

        미국 대학 작문 교육의 역사와 현황

        This study aims to provide an overview of first-year composition programs in U.S. universities, including both their origin and development as well as their current status and future. While the former is examined through literature review, the latter is explored through a survey of coordinators and directors of writing programs in U.S. universities. The results of these investigations reveal that the first-year composition program is a product of U.S. universities’ continuous efforts to deal with new types of students in every stage of its history since the late 19th century. This investigation of writing programs in U.S. universities can serve as a base for future research, including how English writing programs have developed in Korea and where they should go in the future.

        환자 교육이 류마티스관절염 환자의 만족도에 미치는 영향: 교육 시행자에 따른 무작위 임상 시험

        Objective. To examine the impact of patient education (PE) on patients’ satisfaction in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and to compare nurse-led education with medical doctor (MD)-led education. Methods. Patients were enrolled by categorizing in two groups, nurse-led and MD-led education, randomization was performed. Face-to-face education was conducted two times, and changes in patient satisfaction before and after PE were assessed using the visual analogue scale (VAS; 0 to100 mm) and patients’ satisfaction questionnaire (PSQ). Changes in patients’ reported outcomes (PRO) were measured using disease activity score with 28 joint-erythrocyte sedimentation rate (DAS28-ESR), health assessment questionnaire (HAQ), and European quality of life-5 dimension (EQ-5D). Changes in patients’ satisfaction and PRO between before and after PE were compared using paired t-test, and the comparison between nurse-led and MD-led education was analyzed using independent t-test. Results. A total of 120 patients, 60 patients from each group, were randomized to receive either nurse-led or MD-led education. Among them, 113 patients completely received education and final assessment. In total patients, patients’ satisfaction was significantly increased from 87.8±13.1 mm to 92.3±8.8 mm in VAS (p<0.01), and from 3.7±0.4 to 4.0±0.4 in PSQ (p<0.01). There was no improvement in DAS28-ESR, HAQ, but there was mild improvement in quality of life (QOL) after PE. Improvement of patients’ satisfaction by PSQ after nurse-led education was 0.4±0.4 and it was higher than 0.3±0.5 after MD-led education, but it was not statistically different (p=0.25). Conclusion. PE for RA patients improved patients’ satisfaction and QOL. Nurse-led education showed comparable improvement in patients’ satisfaction with MD-led education. (J Rheum Dis 2016;23:109-117)

        Health Assessment Questionnaire (HAQ)을 이용한 EuroQol (EQ5D) 추정의 타당성

        Objective: Assessment of health-related quality of life in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) has become important in health research. Health economists have used linear regression equations to mathematically transform changes in HAQ scores into EQ5D data, which can be used to calculate quality adjusted life years (QALYs). We aimed to examine whether a given approach is justified. Methods: A total of 223 patients with RA were recruited from the Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases at Hanyang University. They completed the HAQ and EQ5D and a correlation analysis was performed between the two instruments. We compared HAQ and EQ5D score changes for patients who completed the EQ5D and HAQ at first and second visits (n=159). Predicted EQ5D was estimated from the HAQ using the calculating method of Bansnack et al. The mean difference between the predicted EQ5D from the HAQ and observed health utility score at the first visit and change during the study were tested by the paired t-test. Results: In the cross-sectional study, EQ5D scores were moderately inversely correlated with HAQ (r=-0.716, p<0.001). However, the predicted EQ5D from the HAQ was significantly different from the observed EQ5D (p=0.001; 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.020∼0.079). The change in EQ5D was also inversely correlated with the change in the HAQ (r=-0.615, p<0.001), and change in the predicted EQ5D scores corresponded well with changes in observed health utility scores (p=0.155; 95% CI (-0.0873∼0.0140). Conclusion: Changes in predicted EQ5D corresponded with observer changes in EQ5D, suggesting that it may be better to use predicted EQ5D form HAQ to identify change in the quality of life.

        네덜란드어 지소형 접미사의 범주화

        The Dutch diminutive suffix has a rich variety of allomorphs, whose distribution is predictable: -je, -tje, -kje, -pje, -etje. The different allomorphs of the diminutive suffix are derived from an underlying form -tje. The diminutive suffix is generally classified as a kind of derivational affixes which alter the meaning or grammatical category of the base. However, the Dutch diminutive suffix does not make such changes. The use of the Dutch diminutive suffix depends on the intention of speakers. Denominal diminutive nouns in Dutch are to illustrate the wide variety of meaning contributions associated with the diminutive suffix. Some of these diminutive nouns are themselves polysemous. The basic meanings of Dutch diminutives are those of “child” or “small”. The meaning component “child” extends into notions such as “affection” and “sympathy”. Sometimes the meanings are related to the notion “attitude” or “evaluation”. These are strongly pragmatic in nature. In many cases the use of a diminutive suffix has a strong pragmatic function. Thus, diminutive morphology belongs to the pragmatic category. This paper focuses on the interface between morphology and pragmatics of the Dutch diminutive suffix and suggests a category of pragmatic affix.
