This study would like to measure and compare water sorption and solubility of acrylic resins, with 3 different polymerizing methods, and tensile strength between denture base resin and relining rosins. For this experiment, 3 different acrylic resins were used; heat polymerizing resin: Vertex (Dentmex, Zeist, Holland), autopolymerizing resin: Tokuso Rebase (Tokuyama Corp, Tokyo, Japan), and light curing resin: Mild Rebaron LC(GC Corp, Tokyo, Japan) The results were as follows ; 1. Tokuso Rebase showed the lowest water sorption. followed by Mild Rebaron LC and Vertex. Among resins, there were some signigicant differences (P<0.05). 2. Vertex showed the lowest solubility, followed by Mild Rebaron LC and Tokuso Rcbase. Among resins, there were some signigicant differences (P<0.05). 3. Intact Vertex showed the highest tensile strength, and Mild Rebaron LC had a more tensile strength than Tokuso Rebase. Between Vertex and the other resins, there were some signigicant differences (P<0.05) However, between Mild Rebaron LC and Tokuso Rebase, there was no statistical difference (P>0.05). About 50% of Rebaron LC showed cohesive fracture. 4. Tensile strength has more decreased after thermocycling than before, but there was no statistical difference (P>0.05).

The performance and noise characteristics of cross flow fans are investigated by computational methods. The 2-D incompressible Navier-Stokes equations in moving coordinates are solved for obtaining the pressure fluctuations at the impeller blades and the stabilizer. The acoustic pressures arc then computed by the Ffowcs Williams-Hawkings equation. The performance and noise characteristics of the cross flow fan are investigated about the blade setting angle(α). the diffusing angle(β) and the stabilizer installation angle(??) and an optimized model is searched by using the Taguchi method. From the comparison. it is found that the flow energy biased to the stabilizer is evenly redistributed and the fan performance and noise characteristics are improved by the optimized model.

A series of forced oscillation tests on a model mooring chain was carried out to investigate dynamic tension characteristics. The model test was conducted at two different water depths to gather basic data for a 'truncated mooring test' and 'hybrid mooring test'. The truncated and hybrid mooring tests are important for overcoming the limitation of water depth that existed in previous model tests. The resultant tension RAO provides a good possibility of approximation of dynamic tension by equivalent weight adjustment for different water depths. Because the hybrid mooring test is an adequate combination of model test and simulation, an accurate simulation model for the mooring system is essential. The simulation results show good agreement with model test results.

The motions and drift forces of side-by-side moored FSRU and LNGC including the sloshing effect, were studied using experiments. The FSRU and LNGC contained LNG cargo tanks and the LNG sloshing could effect the motions and drift forces of the structures due to its coupling with floating body motion. The effect of coupling can vary with the LNG filling level, and the effect of the filling level was investigated. The coupling effect was stronger at lower filling level. It was confirmed that longitudinal sloshing influenced the surge and surge mean drift force in head sea. In addition, gap flow affected the sway and mean drift forces. Sloshing attenuated the sway and yaw excited by gap flow in side-by-side configuration.
