프로판 연료를 적용한 4-행정 단기통 공냉식 기관의 연소특성에 관한 연구

This study aimed at determining the basic functions and the combustion characteristics when LPG consisted mainly of propane was applied to 4-stroke single cylinder air cooling engine. The findings are as followed. 1) IMEP and output seemed to augment in proportion to the increase of RPM on condition λ=0.7 ∼ 1.0. 2) It seemed that optimum ignition timing existed between BTDC 18˚~ BTDC 23˚ when load was 3/4 and rpm was 2500. 3) As RPM increased, both pressure and pressure rise rate in the cylinder went down and got away from TDC. Pressure rise rate also declined as A/F became closer to lean burn. 4) In each RPM, rate of mass burnt fraction dropped and it took longer time to burn as A/F went up. It seemed that the combustion was delayed due to the low combustion temperature as A/F got near to lean range of mixture ratio.
