Metal fixation device, titanium miniplate is commonly used in facial bone fixation. But metal fixation device requires secondary removal procedure because of such complications as bony atrophy, metallic corrosion, low carcinogenic risk, growth disturbance of craniofacial skeleton, and endocranial migration of device which may lead to pediatric craniofacial surgery. Bioabsorbable plates lose strength retention after a given period of time unlike metalic plates, are degraded and absorbed completely in human body. Because they yield no metalic complications nor risks, and require no secondary removal, their use has been recently increased in fixation of facial bone.Self-inforced(SR)-poly(L/DL) lactide(70/30%) plate is applied for the fixation of midfacial bone in adult. But its weak strength brings concern about the skeletal stability, and makes surgeons hesitate its application to mandibular fractures. SR-poly(L/DL) lactide are rarely used especially in mandibular fractures. The authors used Biosorb FX 2.0 plate in 58 patients of mandibular fractures by open reduction and internal fixation. The duration of intermaxillary fixation was 7 days in 12 patients of multiple fractures. Follow-up period was 4 to 16 months(mean; 12 months). Complications included 2 cases with malocclusion, 6 cases with sensory disturbance and no infection was reported. The malocclusion was solved by minimal occlusal grinding, and sensory disturbance was temporary. The authors applied bicortical fixation of two plate system(thickness 1.2mm) with long screws or large diameter screws to mandibular fractures and obtained sufficient skeletal stability. The risk of tissue reaction associated with possible postimplantative crystallization of SR-poly(L/DL) lactide(70/ 30%) could be reduced. They report their experiences with review of literature.

본 연구에서는 전력제어가 정확하며 해당 셀에서 가입자 수가 균일하다는 가정하에 단일셀에서 CDMA와 FDMA, TDMA 간의 가입자 수를 비교하였다. 다른 기술들이 결합되지 않은 순수한 CDMA의 가입자 수용능력은 단일 셀이 다중 셀에서 FDMA, TDMA와 큰 차이가 없으나, 음성활성화계수(VAC)와 섹터화 안테나 등 간섭 신호를 감소시키는 기술이 결합된 경우는 상대적으로 많은 이득이 있는 것으로 나타났다. In this paper, radio capacity between CDMA and FDMA, TDMA in a single cell under an accurate power control was compared. The pure CDMA has no significant capacity difference over FDMA, TDMA. However, with interference reduction techniques, sectored antenna and voice activity factor combined CDMA shows the greater performance on capacity than FDMA, TDMA regardless data rates.

Objective: To determine the reliable perfusion parameters in dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI (DCE-MRI) for the monitoring antiangiogenic treatment in mice. Materials and Methods: Mice, with U-118 MG tumor, were treated with either saline (n = 3) or antiangiogenic agent (sunitinib, n = 8). Before (day 0) and after (days 2, 8, 15, 25) treatment, DCE examinations using correlations of perfusion parameters (Kep, Kel, and AH from two compartment model; time to peak, initial slope and % enhancement from timeintensity curve analysis) were evaluated. Results: Tumor growth rate was found to be 129% ± 28 in control group, -33% ± 11 in four mice with sunitinib-treatment (tumor regression) and 47% ± 15 in four with sunitinib-treatment (growth retardation). Kep (r = 0.80) and initial slope (r = 0.84) showed strong positive correlation to the initial tumor volume (p < 0.05). In control mice, tumor regression group and growth retardation group animals, Kep (r : 0.75, 0.78, 0.81, 0.69) and initial slope (r : 0.79, 0.65, 0.67, 0.84) showed significant correlation with tumor volume (p < 0.01). In four mice with tumor re-growth, Kep and initial slope increased 20% or greater at earlier (n = 2) than or same periods (n = 2) to when the tumor started to re-grow with 20% or greater growth rate. Conclusion: Kep and initial slope may a reliable parameters for monitoring the response of antiangiogenic treatment.
Multidisciplinary Functional MR Imaging for Prostate Cancer

Various functional magnetic resonance (MR) imaging techniques are used for evaluating prostate cancer including diffusion-weighted imaging, dynamic contrast-enhanced MR imaging, and MR spectroscopy. These techniques provide unique information that is helpful to differentiate prostate cancer from non-cancerous tissue and have been proven to improve the diagnostic performance of MRI not only for cancer detection, but also for staging, post-treatment monitoring, and guiding prostate biopsies. However, each functional MR imaging technique also has inherent challenges. Therefore, in order to make accurate diagnoses, it is important to comprehensively understand their advantages and limitations, histologic background related with image findings, and their clinical relevance for evaluating prostate cancer. This article will review the basic principles and clinical significance of functional MR imaging for evaluating prostate cancer.
Offset slotted 직사각형 마이크로스트립 패치안테나의 설계

This paper proposed a method to design the offset slotted rectangular microstrip patch antenna which can be used for GPS antenna. The multi-port connection method and the desegmentation technique had been used to analyze the characteristics of this antenna. To reduce a size of this antenna, a dielectric substrate with a high permittivity(ε=10.2) was used and a offset rectangular slot was inserted in the microstrip patch antenna. The dimension of a manufactured antenna is 20×30×1.27[mm]. Accordingly this small antenna can be used directly GPS antenna or cellular phone. 이 논문은 GPS 안테나로 사용될 수 있는 Offset Slotted 직사각형 마이크로스트립 패치 안테나를 디자인하기 위한 기법을 제안하였다. 안테나 특성을 해석하기 위해 Multi-port connection 기법과 Desegmentation 기법을 사용하였고, 고유전율의(ε=10.2) 기판과 직사각형 슬롯을 이용하여 안테나의 사이즈를 줄일 수 있었다. 제작된 안테나의 치수는 20×30×1.27[mm]로 작은 사이즈이므로 GPS 안테나 또는 핸드폰에 사용될 수 있을 것이다.
