Achalasia is a primary esophageal motor disorder, which is a rare disease with an estimated prevalence of 0.5-1 per 100,000 general population. The typical symptoms are vomiting, dysphagia and weight loss, but the respiratory symptoms are often presented in the 20-30% of the patients. The respiratory symptoms are known to be caused by the regurgitation or aspiration of the undigested food. Choking, recurrent pneumonia nocturnal cough are common and bronchiectasis, lung abscess and atelectasis also have been reported. The treatment of achalasia aimed at improving esophageal peristalsis by reducing pressure at the lower esophageal sphincter. We experienced a case of esophageal achalasia coincidentally found in a 10-year-old girl who was admitted with the exacerbation of asthma. She had pneumatic dilatation and her asthma symptoms including nocturnal cough much improved.
2P-96 Thermoplastic elastomers derived from plant-based lactone and acrylates

A series of renewable ABA triblock thermoplastic elastomers having rubbery phase (A) and hard phase (B) were prepared. First, we describe (a) a method for preparing Br-PM-Br macroinitiators (M<sub>n</sub> = 100 kg mol<sup>-1</sup>) using menthide and acryl bromide via ROP and sequential esterification, (b) the use of the macroinitiator to prepare PMBLPM-PMBL triblock copolymers (6-20 wt % PMBL) using α-methylene-γ-butyrolactone via ATRP, and (c) molecular and physical characterization of these triblock were determined. Even at 100°C, the tensile behavior was respectable σ<sub>at ε</sub> = 1300% =~1.0 MPa), due to high T<sub>g</sub> PMBL of 170-190°C. Second, we report (a) a method for preparing CTA-difunctionalized PHL using plane oil-based δ-hexalactone (HL) and chain transfer agent (CTA) via ROP and sequential esterification. The macro-CTA will be used for synthesis of hard phase RAFT-polymerized by lignin-based acrylated guaiacol. Further study for molecular, mechanical, and thermal properties is necessary.

KAI1/CD82, a member of the tetraspanin superfamily, is a tumor metastasis suppressor implicated in cell migration and adhesion in various tumor cells. Drosophila expresses an orthologue of KAI1/CD82, Tsp66E. However, the role of Tsp66E in cell migration and adhesion has not been studied. Here, we investigated the roles of Tsp66E in border cell migration and border cell adhesion, which are well-established in vivo models of cell migration and adhesion. Border cell migration was accelerated by loss of Tsp66E but delayed by Tsp66E overexpression. Deficiency of Tsp74F, a Drosophila orthologue of human Tspan11 and CD151, further increased the migration rate of Tsp66E mutant border cells. In addition, the premature detachment of border cells at stage 8 oogenesis induced by the loss of inflated, which encodes aPS2 integrin, was enhanced by Tsp66E deficiency. Interestingly, Tsp74F deficiency further enhanced the phenotype. aPS2 and bPS integrins were highly expressed in anterior follicle cells before border cell migration, consistent with an important role in border cell adhesion. The results suggest that Tsp66E and Tsp74F cooperate to negatively regulate border cell migration, support the integrin-mediated maintenance of border cell adhesion, and prevent premature migration.
Thermoplastic Elastomers Derived from Lactone and Acrylates

석유 기반 물질은 공급의 한계와 환경적인 문제를 가지고 있기 때문에, 지속 가능 물질을 이용하여 열가소성 탄성체를 만들 수 있다. 또한 합성 공정에서 사용되는 금속 촉매는 환경 오염 및 고분자의 물성에도 영향을 미친다는 단점이 있다. 이를 유기 촉매로 대체하여 이와 같은 단점을 극복할 수 있다. 따라서 우리는 단량체 뿐 아니라 합성 방법까지 친환경적인 열가소성 탄성체를 합성하고자 한다. 먼저, 지속가능한 단량체인 d-hexalactone와 lignin으로 삼중블록 공중합체 형태의 열가소성 탄성체를 합성한다. 이 때, 합성법은 금속 촉매를 사용하지 않는 ROP와 RAFT를 함께 사용하였으며, 두 중합법을 사용하기 위해 고분자 말단의 하이드록시 그룹에 CTA를 esterification 하였다. 얻어진 고분자는 분자량과 경질상의 비율을 10-30 wt%로 조절함으로써, 3000% 이상의 strain을 가지는 super strain elastomer 혹은 tackifier 없이도 점착력을 구현할 수 있는 elastomer와 같은 물성을 가지는 것을 확인하였다.
