Little is known about the mechanism that causes tinnitus and there is no definite treatment. In practice, a combination of drugs is preferred over a single drug regimen. The aim of this study is to evaluate and compare the effectiveness of 3 kinds of combination regimen for tinnitus. Subjects and Methods:We reviewed the records of 128 patients (156 ears) with tinnitus. Fifty of these patients were treated with ginkgo biloba extract, anti-platelet and anxiolytics. Another 50 patients were treated with ginkgo biloba extract, anxiolytics and vasodilator. Twenty-eight patients were treated with anxiolytics and vasodilator. Pre and post-treatment of 2-3 month statuses were analyzed by tinnitus handicap inventory (THI), visual analog scale (VAS) and Beck depression inventory (BDI). Results:Subjective tinnitus was improved in all three groups with no significant difference in tinnitus handicap inventory scores between the three observed groups. There was no difference between the response group and the non-response group in age, sex and tinnitus characteristics. The response group had a tendency to have lower BDI and normal hearing level compared to the non-response group. Conclusion:Patients with lower BDI and normal hearing level have a tendency to improve tinnitus after combined medical therapy, though there were no significant differences according to treatment regimens. 복합약물 처방의 조합에 따른 치료 효과는 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았지만, 우울증이나 다른 기저 질환 및난청이 동반되지 않은 주관적 이명 환자에서 그 치료효과를 더 기대해 볼 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.
바나듐 레독스 흐름 전지용 sPPS/PVDF 블렌딩 막 성능평가

Polyphenylene sulfide(PPS) is a hydrocarbon polymer which has resistance to heat, chemicals and generality due to its low cost. To produce cationic exchange polymer, PPS was blended with sulfonation process and Polyvinylidenedifluoride(PVdF) was also applied for membrane-flexibility. After production of sulfonated-PPS (sPPS)/PVdf blend membrane, membrane property evaluation is concomitant. Water uptake and Dimensional change were highly enhanced by the incorporation of PVdF in blend membrane. Also stability of sPPS/PVdF blend membrane in VO2+ solution was highly improved. When the amount of PVdF is increasing, however, proton conductivity shows a slightly downward tendency. Consequently, the optimization of PVdF Content in sPPS/PVdf blend membrane is an important factor for the realization of VRFB system.

Anaerobic mesophilic batch tests of energy crops (forage barley, rye, Italian ryegrass, and oats) were carried out to evaluate their ultimate biodegradability and two distinctive decay rates (k1 and k2) with their corresponding degradable substrate fractions (S1 and S2). Graphical statistical analysis and biochemical methane potential (BMP) tests showed that the ultimate biodegradability was 82 ~ 88% for forage barley, 70 ~ 77% for rye, 66 ~ 79% for Italian ryegrass, and 59 ~ 67% for oats. The readily biodegradable fraction (S1) of 73% of forage barley biodegradable volatile solid (BVS, S0) degraded within the initial 40 days at k1 of 0.055 day−1, whereas the slowly biodegradable fraction (S2) of BVS degraded over more than 80 days with long term batch reaction rates of 0.002 day−1. For oats, this readily biodegradable portion (S1) was 57%, which degraded with a k1 of 0.023 day−1 for the initial 60 days. The minimum hydraulic retention time (HRT) for the anaerobic digestion of forage barley, rye, and Italian ryegrass were estimated in the range 45 ~ 55 days and 65 days for oats.

The causes of contract change at the construction phase can become the main risk factor which was not accurately understood or was unexpected leading to the increase in the direct and/or indirect costs. Therefore the contingency is necessary to swiftly handle and respond to such occasion However, when it comes to estimating contingency, it is difficult to respond to risks arising variously depending on the nature of the project. This is because the assessment method is based on lump-sum ratio application. To address such problems, the final contingency estimation system has been established using contingency estimation modeling based on the analysis on the current contract change status and on the results of identification and analysis of cost overrun risk. To verify the usability of the constructed system, case study has been performed targeting risk management experts. As a result of case application, it was possible to provide the information on the relevant project in advance, to derive the cost overrun factors, to identify the risk factors in detail, and thus to understand the nature of project by analyzing the contract change status in public construction projects. Furthermore, this method is differentiated from the traditional lump-sum ratio application because the accuracy of risk analysis improved by using 3 input variables instead of single variable and by putting risk analysis methods together (importance analysis+ fuzzy theory).
Q 방법론을 활용한 비건 문화에 관한 MZ 여성 소비자의 주관성 연구

최근 윤리적 소비에 관한 관심이 높아진 MZ 세대 소비자를 중심으로 채식과 비거니즘에 관련된 소비가 급격히 증가하고 있다. 소비자의 인식 차이에 따라 비건소비에 대한 태도와 제품 구매 정도에 큰 차이를 보이기 때문에 이러한 인식의 차이를 이용하여 소비자를 분류하는 경우 보다 실질적이고 구체적일 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구는 비건 시장의 핵심 소비층인 MZ 세대 여성 소비자를 대상으로 Q 방법론을 활용하여 소비자의 주관적 인식을 살펴보고 유형화하고자 하였다. 다양한문헌 연구와 면담을 통해 총 23개의 Q 표본을 구축하였고, P 표본으로 선정된 20, 30대 여성 소비자 30명을 대상으로 Q 표본을 Q 분류에 배치하는 방식으로 진행하였다. 연구 결과 분석 프로그램으로는 Ken-Q Analysis를 활용하였다. 연구 결과, 비건 소비에 대한 여성 소비자의 인식 유형은 ‘윤리적 소비 추구형’, ‘시장개선 추구형’, ‘건강 관심형’의 총 3개의 유형으로 도출되었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 통해 비건 소비에 대한 인식의 다양성과 유형별 차이점을 확인하였다. 나아가 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 기업이 비건 시장에 진입함에 있어 실질적인 도움이 될 수 있도록 제언을 하였다.
Comparison of Signal Powers Generated with Different Shapes of Hammer Plates

One of the main problems concerning the shallow seismic survey is how to generate high frequency signals with large amplitudes using small seismic sources. If one could focus the seismic energy in the direction of the survey line, it will be much helpful in identifying the first break. In this research, we have used hammer as an impulsive source and compared the signal powers generated by different shapes of the hammer plates: circular, square, and rectangular. The experiment was conducted by calculating the power spectral density function to compare the frequency spectrum and signal power. In the direction perpendicular to the long side of the rectangular plate, the largest seismic energy with the highest frequency was achieved even with the same weights of hammer plates. Our conclusion is that it is more efficient to use a rectangular plate than a circular (or square) one when conducting a 2-D shallow seismic survey.

Respiratory epithelial adenomatoid hamartoma (REAH) is an uncommon non-neoplastic proliferation of the sinonasal tract that presents as a mass-like lesion. It can be confused with a variety of benign and malignant entities including inflammatory polyp, inverted papilloma and low-grade sinonasal adenocarcinoma. Misinterpretation may result in unnecessary radical surgery. Recently we have experienced two patients of REAH in the nasal cavity. One was originated from the lateral nasal wall and the other was from the both olfactory clefts. Therefore, we report these cases with a brief literature review.
