A Study on Flow Characteristics of ERF Between Two Parallel-Plate by Using PlV

An experimental investigation was performed to study the characteristics of ER(Electro-Rheological) fluid flow in a horizontal rectangular tube with or without D.C voltage. To determine some characteristics of the ER flow, 2D PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry) technique is employed for velocity measurement. This research found the mean velocity distribution with 0kV/mm, 1.0kV/mm and 1.5kV/mm for Re = 0, 0.62, 1.29 and 2.26. When the strength of the electric field increased, the cluster of ERF are clearly strong along the test tube and the flow rate decreased. In this study, the rheology of ER fluid stagnating or flowing through a dispersion meter will be investigated by PIV method. And then the ER effect, which appears at the ER valves and their appliance will be visualized.

The purposes of using cutting fluid during cutting have been colling, lubricating, chip washing and anti-corroding. However, the present manufactaring industry restricts the use of cutting fluid because cutting fluid confains poisonous substances which are harmful to the human body. Also, the optimum design oil-mist collector. Finally, the new oil mist collector was designed. In the near future, this device must be tested in the real machining center and CNC machine. The model(A, B Type cyclone) of the set of fixture and alveolus are made by using a CAE software. Finally, we have obtained a model A Type solution by using orthogonal array.

I.G.G (Inert Gas Generator), a high temperature in Cargo Tank desulfurize, exhausted and froze the gas that combined brimstone element and soot, then supply as an inert gas by blower, inside mack tank at an incombustible range and this equipment serves a bud for the explosion. Usually, the blower which suppling inactivated gas has big impeller with heavy weight for the high pressure, it causes a delay for first operation time and too much load is delivered to motor which lead to motor destruction by fire frequently. The purpose of our study is to reduce the size, weight of impeller and install it with several stage; which make an effect for reducing the first operation time. We also intend to contribute to efficient IGG blower design for how and pressure specialty through the modification of impeller diameter, blade number and case size.

In this study CAE analysis of fire damper and design of the damper control system. Through the design of the damper system for ANSYS-CFX heat transfer. As a result of the analysis, continuance equation of the damper control. Climate system. Finaily. We have obtained a fire damper solution by using ovthogonal array. The fire damper of the set of fixture and alveolus are made by using a CAE software. Finally, we have obtained a optimum design fire damper solution by using orthogonal array.
