For the same configuration, the stiffness of 6-node two dimensional isoparametric is stiffer than that of 8-node two dimensional isoparametric element. This phenomenon may be called 'Relative Stiffness Stiffening Phenomenon.' In this paper, the relative stiffness stiffening phenomenon was studied, and could be corrected by modifying the position of Gauss integral points used in the numerical integration of the stiffness matrix. For the same deformation (bending) energy of 6-node and 8-node two dimensional isoparametric elements, Gauss integral points of 6-node element have to move closer, in comparison with those of 8-node element, in the case of numerical integration along the thickness direction.

한국도로공사가 제공하는 자료에 따르면 운전자 4명 중 1명은 졸음운전을 경험해 보았다고 말한다. 또한, 졸음운전 사고의 치사율은 건당 4명으로 전체 교통사고 치사율의 2배이며, 그 위험성은 음주운전보다 크다고 알려져 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 졸음운전 감지 시스템이 국내외에서 활발히 연구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 졸음운전 감지 시스템과 더불어 졸음운전을 예방하는 시스템을 제안하고자 한다.

Analysis of brake characteristics has progressed rapidly in recent years, as computer techniques have developed. However, there are many problems in predicting braking characteristics, due to the numerous design variables of the brake system. Therefore, a synthetic braking performance analysis is required for all brake system parts such as master cylinder, booster, control valve and split system.<br/> In this paper, a program which can analyze braking performance such as force distribution, braking efficiency, pedal force and pedal travel, is presented. The preprocessor of the program helps users prepare input files through a dialog box. An additional postprocessor makes the graph presentation of solved results. Also, a simple example problem is applied to show the usefulness of the presented program.<br/>

This study has been conducted to replace the material of automotive caliper which use presently ductile cast iron with unreinforced aluminum alloy for weight reduction. Since castable aluminum alloys are inferior to ductile cast iron in mechanical properties and castability, the rigidity and quality of aluminum caliper is achived with optimal design using by CAE such as structural, solidification and flow analysis and squeeze casting process, respectively. The caliper meet required performances and provide weight reduction of about 30%.<br/>

This paper describes the result of wearing test on the Sangju test track. The purpose of the test is to evaluate an amount of wearing for EMU"s pan to shoes. Panto shoes are affected in wearing by environment owing to expose the vehicle. Especially, the rainy season, they are found easy to get an increase in wearing of panto shoes. To evaluate an amount of wearing, we carried out running test for 5 months under the ground line conditions.
