        전혜자 한국특수체육학회 1996 한국특수체육학회지 Vol.4 No.1

The purpose of this study was to identify physical fitness factors which discriminate effectively the degrees of mental retardation and to determine whether there are structural differences among physical fitness factors according to the defrees of mental retardation of the assumption that the physical fitness factors attribute to effective discrimination of the degrees of mentally handicapped groups. The subjects for this investigation were 264 male students with mental retardstion of five middle and high schools in Seoul. The results of the study showed that first, 4 groups of mentally handicapped students were discriminated effectively by the physical fitness factors, distant-jump, one-foot standing, 50m running. Second, the degrees of disabilities of groups could be classified clearly by two discriminant factors.

      • 노블과 로만스의 止揚 : 李人稙의 「鬼와 聲」硏究 A Study on "the Sound of Ghost" by Lee In-Gik

田惠子 숙명여자대학교 대학원원우회 1983 원우논총 Vol.1 No.-

The purpose of this paper is to examine Aufhe ̄ben of novel and romance in Lee In-Gik's novel, "the Sound of Ghost." Although it can be said that the New Novel was a form of literatue in the transition period, we should think it represents Korean's modern idiosyncrasy which is based on old tradition. In other words, the New Novel has the elements common in both novel and romance. That is to say, it is an advanced post of novel in Korea, just as Pre-Novel or Proto-Novel in the Western literature. Therefore we estimate it not the rupture of Korean tradition, but succession of it. The traits of novel and romance that I have a consideration in "the Sound of Ghost" are: (1) We must think that "the Sound of Ghost" is not the rupture of Korean tradition, but the inheritance of it, Aufhe ̄ben of novel and romance. (2) If I anatomize "the Sound of Ghost" in action, characterization, and theme, they are as follows: ① The characteristics of the novel are that, in time and space, the author treated the action with present view of character, not the succession of seperate episodes. And "the Sound of Ghost" has tragic traits that a good heroine was ruined. ② But it is the of quaities romance that he constructed a metaphorical expression that is the pattern of dream and the sound of animals. So is the narration of "And Then" style. ③ It is the element of novel that he set up a low man's doughter as a heroine, and he described Gum Sun as a servant who has a unique personality. ④ But it is the element of romance thai he constructed an archetypally stylized heroine. ⑤ It's the tendency of a modern novels that he plotted the incapacity of a nobleman, the revelation against the rotting, the consciousness of slave's freedom, the attachment to money. So is the distrust of superstition tht view of second marriage of a needlewoman. ⑥ However, "the Sound of Ghost" is supported by a fabulous romance which was really impossible under the contemporary condition.

      • 서울시 지체부자유 학생의 발육에 관한 연구

        전혜자,김종석 한국특수체육학회 1993 한국특수체육학회지 Vol.1 No.1

The purpose of study is to compare the growth patterns of physically handcapped students with those of normal students in Korea. The data obtained from the study in 1991 included physical examination records of 1,809 students(6-17 years old) with physical handcaps in Seoul. Normal growth curves were obtained thorugh special survey of Ministry of Education, and the modified growth curves for the exact ages of the students in 1991 were used here. Physically handcapped students include cerebral palsy(31.6%), traffic and various accidents victimes(22.6%), poliomyelitis squalae(19.6%) and congenital anomalies(9.1%), etc. This result suggests that cerebral palsy is the most common cause of physical handicaps of students. However, poliomyelitis was ranked as the most common cause of physical handicaps in previous reporta. Generally physically handicapped students showed low growth of body height, body weight and sitting height, while chest girths are broader than those of standard growth. The growth rates of body and sitting height for physically handicapped students were lower than those of normal students. At nine years old, the average body and sitting height of normal students were 132.7cm and 72.4cm, however those of physically handicapped students were 131.2cm and 75.1cm, respectively. The differences of body and sitting heights between normal and handicapped students were 1.5cm and 0.9cm, respectively. At the age of 12, the body weight of normal and handicapped students were 29.9kg and 29.2kg, respectively, on the other hand, the chest girth of physically handicapped students were broader than those of standard students. All the physical development and nutritional indicies indicated that the growths of physically handicapped students were lower than those of normal students except the chest girths. Thus well designed program on physical and health education was needed for the handicapped juveniles and children.
