THEME 01 기후 및 기상 변화 예측을 위한 인공지능

최근 지구 온난화로 인해 기후 변화와 기상 이변으로 자연 재해의 위험성이 커져감에 따라 이를 예측하는 기술의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 기존의 기상 예측 기술들은 물리적인 수치 해석 모델에 기반하고 있으나, 그 정확도가 높지 않을 뿐더러 지구 온난화와 같은 변수들이 고려되지 않아 그마저도 한계를 가지고 있다. 이 글에서는 장기적인 기후 변화와 중/단기적인 이상 기후를 인공지능을 활용하여 예측하는 기술들을 소개하고자 한다. 이러한 기술들은 기초적인 단계에서 활발하게 연구되고 있을 뿐만 아니라 상업적인 분야로 확장되어 가고 있다.

Various polymers were used as transfection factors for small interfering RNA (siRNA) to effectively suppress human cytotoxic T-lymphocyte antigen 4-immunoglobulin (hCTLA4Ig) gene in transgenic rice cells. Five kinds of polymers (PEI, PVA, PVP, and 8 and 20 kDa PEGs) were applied for delivery of siRNA with lipofectamine used as a control. In the cytotoxicity test, all polymers except 8 kDa PEG showed nontoxicity in relation to cell viability. For transfection efficiency, polyplexes composed of siRNA and PEG (20 kDa) did not significantly reduce production of intracellular hCTLA4Ig. On the other hand, siRNA + PEI polyplexes showed the most effective suppression efficiency with regards to production of intracellular hCTLA4Ig among all other polyplexes (PVA, PVP, and PEG (8 kDa)). Effects of molecular weight ratios of siRNA:PEI were investigated to obtain optimal transfection efficiency and avoid excessive damage to cells. PEI-based polyplexes with a 1:10 ratio of siRNA:PEI reduced production of intracellular hCTLA4Ig up to 70.6% without alteration of cell viability. These results demonstrate that PEI-based polyplexes are easy to prepare, inexpensive, non-toxic, and effective to deliver siRNA to transgenic plant cell cultures.

This study introduces a real case of analyzing the taste of paid audiences at a domestic complex performance hall. For analysis, a survey was conducted on the audience of a large complex performance hall that performs various genres. First, the audience segmentation analysis was conducted by dividing the sample of respondents into three groups(heavy users, medium users, and light users) according to the amount of viewing. Light users were characterized by viewing popular performing arts. Heavy and medium users showed omnivore characteristics that cross pure and popular art. Second, as a result of market segmentation according to taste based on the multi-genre viewing behavior of audiences(heavy users and medium users), it was confirmed that there were “pure art audience group,” “public performance audience group,” and “classical music audience group.” “public performance audience group,” and “classical music audience group.” There were various types according to the audience's taste, and genre changes were occurring in different ways depending on the taste, focusing on classical music, pure performing arts, and popular performing arts. In the future, it is expected that this study can be used to establish appropriate marketing strategies by segmentation analysis based on actual performance audience data.
