New series of sulfonylureas containing substituted thiophene with 2-chloromethyl-l,3-dioxolane group were prepared, and their herbicidal effects were tested(in vivo) in the upland conditions and in the paddy submerged conditions. The sulfonylureas in which 4,6-dimethoxy- or 4-methyl-6-methoxy group in pyrimidine or triazine ring showed good herbicidal effects at a rate of 0.1 ㎏/㏊. However, they showed weaker herbicidal effects than that of sulfonylureas containing substituted thiophene with 2-fluoromethyl-l,3-dioxolane group in general.

A series of bicyclic 4,5,6,7-tetrahydroindazole derivatives 6 have been synthesized, and their herbicidal activities were studied in flooded paddy condition. The compounds 6 showed herbicidal effects to bamyardgrass and Monochoria and good tolerance against rice at a rate of 0.063 ㎏/㏊~0.25 ㎏/㏊.
Performance Model을 이용한 무기체계 운용화면 GUI 사용성 평가 및 개선에 대한 연구

The recent development of modern weapon system by SOS (System of System) has required users to have more exact decision making. It is possible to achieve the control of complex weapon system more efficiently and effectively by increasing usability. Accordingly, many studies on graphical display have been conducted for several years in the field of HCI (Human Computer Interaction) and GUI (Graphic User Interface), starting from its design stage. Therefore, this paper focuses on evaluating the system GUI usability and analyzing several important points based on performance model, which is a tool for the evaluation and the improvement of service quality. Performance Model, the main focus of this study, reflects user expectations (which is defined as user importance in this paper). The study consists of four steps. First, 34 checklists are drawn from the existing studies related to GUI usability evaluation by using a heuristic method, and then the checklists are matched with 11 weapon system design factors. Next, the study evaluates the importance of GUI element and the usability of weapon system “A” with the checklists twice respectively. Third, the performance of user importance ( ?? ) and the performance of usability ( ?? ) are calculated by modifying a numerical formula for normalization in this step. Finally, the study compares the approach it takes and the existing usability evaluation method, demonstrating that there is a significant difference between the two methods as a result. In addition, 4 improvement factors are suggested for weapon system “A” as “Shortcut” and “Description of Abbreviation,” and so on. Although it is necessary to conduct more studies for higher reliability and validity of the results, this study is meaningful considering it takes a new point of view.

New series of 9-(5-Isoxazolemethoxyphenyl)imino-8-thia-1,6-diazabicyclo[4.3.0]nonan-7-one which are the cyclic imide type compounds were designed and synthesized. The herbicidal activities of main dominant weeds to these compounds were evaluated under rice field condition. There is the possibility for a new herbicide since the most of compounds were excellent to main dominant weeds occurring in rice field without the serious rice injury.

Nobel series of 5-benzyloxymethyl-3-(thiophen-5-yl)-1,2-isoxazoline derivatives were designed and synthesized. The herbicidal activities of these compounds to main dominant weeds to these compounds were evaluated in pot tests that simulated rice paddy conditions. Most of the compounds showed high herbicidal activity to main dominant weeds occurring in rice field without the serious rice injury.
