세계화ㆍ다문화 등의 담론은 더 이상 새롭거나 낯선 것, 혹은 준비해야 하는 미래가 아닌 이미 우리 내부에 도래한 세계이다. 특히 대학의 교육 현장은 이미 오래전부터 세계화, 다문화라는 틀 안에서 운영되고 있다. 교육은 이미 다문화를 지향하고 있고, 다양성에 대한 인식 강화를 명시적으로 지향하고 있다. 다문화 사회에서 나 아니 타자와 사회적 거리를 적절하게 형성하기 위해서는 타자에 대한 이해, 타자의 문화에 대한 이해가 필수적이다. 본 연구는 그러한 인식의 한 방향으로 칭찬 화행의 관점에서 한국어와 중국어 모어 화자의 칭찬 응대의 차이가 있는지를 밝혀, 다문화 사회의 타자에 대한 이해 맥락을 형성할 수 있는 틀을 구축하고자 하였다. 칭찬은 사회적 거리형성에 중요한 담화이며, 교육적으로도 여러 의미를 지니는 화행이다. 하지만 그러한 칭찬은 칭찬의 주제나 맥락에 따라, 문화권에 따라 다르게 인식될 수 있고, 무엇보다 교사나 동료의 칭찬 화행에 응대하는 방식이 달라 친밀도 형성 시기에 오해가 발생할 수도 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 한국 대학생과 한국 내 대학에 유학 와 있는 중국 유학생의 칭찬 응대에 차이가 있는지를 분석하고, 그 결과의 의미를 밝힌 연구이다. 연구는 담화완성형 설문지를 통해 이루어졌고, 연구 결과는 통계적으로 분석되었다. In the era of globalization and multiculturalism, awareness of diversity is important. Multiculturalism is not a future we have to prepare, but it is already arrived inside us. In particular, Universities have long been operating within the framework of globalization and multiculturalism. Education has already praised multiculturalism and has explicitly aimed at strengthening awareness of diversity. In order to properly form social relations with other people in a multicultural society, it is essential to understand the other person and understand the other’s culture. The purpose of this study is to find out the difference of compliment and compliment response according to the language, and to establish a framework for understanding of others in multicultural society. Compliment is an important speech act in the formation of social relations, and it is an discourse that has various meanings in education. Such Compliment, however, can be perceived differently by culture, depending on the theme and context of the compliment. Above all, misunderstandings may occur at the time of forming intimacy by responding to the compliment. This study is to compare the compliment response of Chinese university students studying at Korean universities and Korean university students, and to clarify the meaning of the results. The research was conducted through a discourse completion test, and the results of the research were analyzed statistically.

5 alpha-reductase deficiency is a rare autosomal recessive disorder caused by mutations in the SRD5A2-gene, resulting in absent or diminished dihydrotestosterone (DHT) formation and, hence, in an underdevelopment of the external genitalia in patients with 46,XY karyotype. Recently we experienced a 17 years old patient with chief complaint of primary amenorrhea, who showed 46,XY karyotype, enlarged clitoris, virilization, undeveloped breast and palpable bilateral inguinal mass. We diagnosed it as 5 alpha-reductase deficiency and removed the bilateral gonads, so we report it with brief review of literature.

This article provides the study of compliment responses of the Korean University Students. A compliment responses collected via a discourse completion task(DCT). The DCT was designed six situations in the data, as well as a prompt for a written responses to the compliments. In this article we have three main concerns. The first is to examine how matters of compliments subject are related to responses. Second, examining the participants’ relationships are reflected in speech. Third, examining gender is an important variable of compliment speech. The findings show that, First, there is a difference depending on the subject of compliment. Second, depending on the distance between people are related to responses. The third finding is that addressee’s gender is variables of the compliment responses.
대학 글쓰기 교육을 통한 학습자의 쓰기에 대한 쓰기 인식 변화: 서평 쓰기에 대한 성찰일지 분석

The purpose of this study was to find a way for university writing education to become a writing education with consistent expansion rather than a one-time education. Through this study, I aimed to suggest the direction of the education for the autonomy of the learner, communication with other people, and the university writing education which develops the ability to understand others. For this purpose, I organized a lecture that integrated reading and writing. The lecture was designed so that the learner could grow as a learner who has active attitude as a subject to read and write, and communication competency to communicate with others. In this study, the lecture was designed to look at the text in a multi-lever perspective, and composed of spiral structure so that reading and writing are integrated leading. In order to analyze self-reflection paper, I propose that a statistical method should be introduced for selecting keywords and extracting their associated words appearing in the same paragraph. The analysis shows that the learner` attitude about writing education transformed in a way to communicate with others with autonomy.

In this study we focus on advertising and multiculturalism in Korea and look into the narrative aspects of Multicultural advertising in order to find how to make an image of Multicultural families in our society. The rapid growth of the Multicultural family dictates investigation of these study’s needs, therefore aimed to gain an in-depth understanding of factors related to the identification and placement of Multicultural family’s in Korean society. This study attempts to analyze narrative structures of advertisement on these issues using narrative theories of Greimas. Multicultural advertisements provide insight on current thinking about the influence of diverse populations in society. To situate the research stages of what is now called multicultural family, the first question is addressed by examining the early stage of research on Multiculturalism in society. This analysis involves revealing the signification process of narrative of multicultural advertisements. As a result, it produces some stereotypes of the immigrant Asian woman and her children. Despite the increasing number of multicultural families, multiculturalism has not yet fully heightened in Korea.

The aim of this paper is to address strategies for the adjacency pairs of ``question-answer`` in the TV talk-show, <People inside> which is very popular in Korea. First, we discuss a general theoretical frame. Second, we describe main characters in the show. There are two participants, one host and one guest in the talk show. The strategies of the semi-institutional conversation in one on one conversation has been found in this respect. As a result of analysis of the conversations in the talk show, there are three questions types which are namely confirming information, fact seeking and emotional expressions demand. According to the question types, various strategies for answer has also been found which has led to interlocutor`s roles and goals of the conversation.
