BTL 사업 협상과정의 문제점과 개선방안 - 기숙사 사례를 중심으로 -

The local governments tend to build new educational facilities in type of BTL(Build-Transfer-Lease) process because of insufficient budget. The BTL projects cause various problems such as the increase of project cost and duration or the cancelation of participation. For example, a member of the preferred bidder cancels participation in the project when the owner of the project negotiates with the preferred bidder. This paper proposes improvements to resolve the problems occurred in the negotiation by analysing a case of BTL project to build a dormitory facility. But, only one case project analysed makes it difficult to apply the improvements to general BTL projects.

Lots of uncertain factors and risks which are not easy for a construction manager to control occur in high-rise and large-scale building projects. Because risks happen over the construction schedule, and cause delay, cost increase, or safety accidents, the best way to prevent loss of risk is to prevent the advent of risks.Many researches and methods are proposed to manage schedule risks of building construction, but are inconvenient for a construction manager to use. This study proposes a schedule risk simulation system and develops a prototype using Microsoft Excel and Palisade @Risk for Excel.The simulation system consists of a risk pool, a risk-response matrix, a simulator, and a user interface. The risk pool is a kind of database to store schedule risks, and the risk-response matrix links a risk and responses. The simulation system estimates the possibility of risk advent using probability functions that @Risk enables to apply to variables of risk.
Recycling of In-site waste soil material to fill a hollow between PHC pile and Earthen wall

This study evaluated the recycling potential of in-site waste soil as pile back filling material (PBFM). We performed experiments to check workability, segregation resistance, bond strength, direct shear stress test, and dynamic load test using in-site waste soil in coastal areas.We found that PBFM showed better performance than general cement paste in terms of workability, segregation resistance, and bond strength. On the other hand, the structural performance of PBFM was slightly lower than that of general cement paste due to the skin friction force of pile by Pile Driving Analyzer and direct shear stress. However, because this type of performance degradation in terms of structure can be improved through the use of piles with larger diameter or by changing the type of pile, considering the economics and environment, we considered that recycling of PBFM has sufficient value.
A Case Study on Architectural Engineering Design Using Action Learning

Companies want universities to produce graduates with creativity and problem-solving skills, and for this reason universities have extended engineering design education, including in the field of architectural engineering. This paper investigates an engineering design class in the Department of Architectural Engineering, J University. The class was taught in 2010 and 2011using an Action Learning (AL) teaching-learning strategy. The students responded that the level of participation and satisfaction was high in the Action Learning classes, and role allocation or responsibility and communication of the project teams were very effective. But it was also found that as Action Learning is such a new method for students of engineering design, an orientation session that describes what to do and what to prepare should be given before the class starts.
시멘트계 바탕 바름재용 현무암 석분슬러지 모르타르의 경화 특성

This study aimed to evaluate of the hardened properties (mortar consistency, setting time, absorption properties,drying shrinkage, and bond strength) of the basalt powder sludge mortar recycling a basalt powder sludge occurredduring the manufacture process of basalt stone as a replacing material for the sea-sand used to cement fillingcompound for surface preparation. The hardened mortar made of the basalt powder sludge showed an enhancedperformance or similar with the properties of normal mortar used to cement filling compound for surface preparation. But, the drying shrinkage was increased more than a normal cement mortar in the hardened mortar made of the basaltpowder sludge since curing 8 - 9days. And the bond strength is low in the hardened mortar used the basalt powdersludge. On the whole, properties of the hardened mortar used the basalt powder sludge correspond to the requiredminimum quality criterion in the KS F 4716 ‘cement filling compound for surface preparation’. 본 연구는 시멘트계 바탕 바름재에 사용되는 바닷모래를대체하기 위한 재료로서 현무암 가공과정에서 발생되는 현무암 석분슬러지를 재활용하기 위해 현무암 석분슬러지를사용한 경화모르타르의 특성(연도변화, 응결경화, 흡수계수, 건조수축, 그리고 부착강도 실험)을 평가하였다. 현무암석분슬러지를 사용한 경화모르타르는 콘크리트 바탕 바름재에 사용되는 기존의 보통모르타르의 특성과 유사하거나 좀더 향상된 성능을 보였다. 그러나, 현무암 석분슬러지를 사용한 경화모르타르는 보통 모르타르보다 재령 8∼9일 이후건조수축이 증가되었고 부착강도는 감소되었다. 그러나 현무암 석분슬러지를 사용한 경우, KS F 4716 ‘시멘트계 바탕 바름재’에서 요구하는 최소 품질 규준은 만족하였다.
Development of a Flash-based Schedule Management Tool for Smart Devices

Schedule management of construction work is critical to completing construction projects within a given period of time. Many efforts have been made and multiple tools have been developed to support the management of construction projects using smart devices such as smartphones and tablet PCs. This study proposed a method for managing construction schedules via a smart device using Flash. The interactive and graphic properties of Flash enable the development of an app that can allow a field manager to manage schedules easily and efficiently. A prototype was implemented using Adobe Flex Builder, and a sample network was applied in a smartphone. It is convenient for a construction manager to manage construction schedules using the tool because Flash controls graphic components easily. In further studies, network diagrams such as CPM (Critical Path Method) should be developed and applied to the app.
