        김현승 시에 나타난 ‘고독’의 역설성 연구

        This thesis is to examine the paradox of ‘Solitude’ in Kim, hyun seung’s Poetry. The existing studies has treated the ‘Solitude’ of Kim, hyun seung’s poetry as the reflection of a doubt on his faith. Compared with a biographical fact, those viewpoint are generally right. But there’s a possibility to interpretate his ‘solitude’ in another way, on a depth meaning. And the end of this thesis is to examine that meaning, which can be called “paradox.” In Chapter2, we can find the new figure of the subject. It is differed from traditional subject, which means the modern subject. The ‘solitude’ of Kim, hyun seung’s Poetry has a relation with the independence, to associate with others. In Chapter3, there comes the image of an ‘end’ in Kim, hyun seung’s Poetry. So there comes a difference between ‘knowing’ and ‘doing’, ‘the eternity’ and ‘the present’. And in this chapter, we can find that the act to make a space among others means a preparation for a community in Jesus. In Chapter4, we can see Kim, hyun seung’s time recognition through the deviation of tense. In his poetry, the time of ‘solitude’ appeared as a present time. And it is represented by the season, ‘Fall.’ Generally ‘Fall’ is the time of extinction, but on the other hand it is the time of creation. Such paradoxical character―And this is God’s character, also― brings man a tragic moment, which means a despair. This is the very ‘solitude.’ After all we can find that the ‘solitude’ in Kim, hyun seung’s poetry is not a settlement to the inside which means self-isolation, but a preparation to the realization of God’s will, making a community on the earth.

        윤동주 시의 자연과 주체의 자기 인식 양상 연구

        This paper investigates the characteristics of the nature and self-recognition in Youn Dong Ju's poetry, by analyzing the relation between the nature and self-recognition aspect of the subject through symbolic mediation, and by examining the relation between ontological characteristics and the semantic structure of symbols. While the studies on Youn Dong Ju's poetry have been restricted to semantic examinations of intuition, this paper aims to illuminate the polysemy of symbols in the unknown poetry by reconstructing equivocal semantic structure. This thesis considers symbols of nature as material mediation, 'water' and 'wind'. Through these media, the self-examination in Youn Dong Ju's poetry is revealed as an indirect self-recognition. In this analysis, 'water' is related to the space and 'wind' is to the sense. Therefore the symbols of nature, which Youn Dong Ju often utilized, are the mediation expressing the ontological characteristics of Youn Dong Ju's poetry.

        윤동주 시의 디아스포라와 공간 -시의 창작방식을 통해 나타난 저항의지

        The life of Youn, Dong Ju is in continuity of the experience which is estranged from his home. He is expelled from Gando, the fatherland which was born in immigration and from the fatherland by colonization. This diaspora experience appears with spatial scenery in his poetry, and has effect on poetic consciousness. The new form of colonial modern in Korea that is mixed of Western and Japanese modernization is inevitable result. The experience of such colonial modern has an aspect which was opposed in Japan in one hand, and resembled it in the other hand. The modernity experience of Korean literature at that time shows this complex. But the poetry of Youn, Dong Ju makes a form of response by poetizing voluntary estrangement which refuses an assimilation. Diaspora which is not the possibility of belonging to somewhere makes and the criticism distance, the will of new culture construction, and forms a space of estrangement to manifest the conference against. The hometown, the hospital, space of the Japanese related with ``the searching of hometown``, ``decadence``, ``the voluntary estrangement`` leads the subject of Youn, Dong Ju`s Poetry to overcome the estrangement of colonial modern and experience the return of true subject. It also a method of the response that make a ``modern of the Orient`` to be possible, that is, self establishment by resistance.

        독자들의 한국현대시 수용과 인식의 특성

        This research which uses social science analysis method observes the culture idea of the individual field and, relates it with a recognition method and aspect of the reading in korean popular poetry. It makes a survey to approach the real mass, i.e. the structure of their taste and desire, and compare the statistic of circulation of poetry books with the reaction of real reader. Through this, it can grasp the mind and desire of mass by investigating objective data about the propensity to consume mass culture and literature, analyze the nature of popularity and popular literature to discuss about popularization of korean poetry.

      • 서정주 시의 상징성 연구 : 보들레르 시와의 영향관계를 중심으로 in the relation with the influence of Baudelaire`s poetry

        This thesis is to examine the symbol of Suh, Jeung Ju's Poetry in relation to Baudelaire's poetry. The existing studies proved the French symbolical poetry had a deep relation with the forming stage of Korean modern poetry. But most of them are so restrictive. So This thesis empathizes the demonstrative comparison of individual poem. The immediate influence of Baudelaire in Suh, Jeung Ju's poetry, we can find they hold thematic feature in common. This is about the discovery of an evil, a sin, and the conquest of those. In Chapter 2, we can find an affinity between Suh, Jeung Ju's Poetry and Baudelaire's. This is the observation of sin to trace back persona's lineage. In their poems, a disabled person suffered from divine wrath. It has relations with the original sin of Christianity, and has an influence on persona's fate. In Chapter 3, we can see the journey structure. This reflect persona's will to escape from the sin and arrive at an ideal world. This is realized by a vertical movement in their poems, and it implicates a returns to the recurring present time. After all we can find Suh, Jeung Ju and Baudelaire use the principal of symbolist's correspondence, and through various symbols, they sought after the problem of sin and the conquest of it. So It can be proved there is a immediate influence of Baudelaire's poetry not only in subject matter, but in grammatical and thematic side of Suh, Jeung Ju's Poetry. And this fact offers the propriety that we need a practical study concretely.

        서정주 시의 상징에 나타난 광기와 폭력 : 보들레르 시와의 영향관계를 중심으로 In the relation with Baudlaire's poetry

        This is a thesis which research the Suh, Jeung Ju's poetic symbol and discover abundant meaning which exist in the back of it. Especially, I made a focus on the symbol of woman and animal. They work as a symbolic iron on Suh, Jeung Ju's poetry, and are involved with power, violence, and insanity. These symbols are examined in the relation with the flares of Baudlaire's influence. And this ran help to explain the christianty - the trait of 'original sin' - in Suh's early poetry, 1 hope. The symbol of woman in Suh's poetry, appears as a withed woman or an enchantress, that is to say a tempter which is combined with the symbol of animal like a 'cat'. It is the object of both desire and fear, in other words the good 2nd the evil. And this shows a strategic male-oriented viewpoint.

        윤동주, <자화상>의 상호텍스트성 연구 : 리파떼르의 상호텍스트성 이론을 중심으로

        This paper is a study about intertextuality on Riffaterre's theory. The progress of intertextuality theory in korea has not been a visible one. Most research defined the intertextuality as a simple one, and there's not nearly a propriate application of it. Reffaterre has developed his intertextuality theory over 20 years, and his concern spreads over a related concept like a context, hypertextuality. Riffaterre uses concepts like syllepsis, gap etc. in his creative way. His method is very semiotic. He detests context is not important. According to his theory, intertext is syntax, texts, etc. Which are constructed by structural homology. So If one poem had a structural homology with another, despite there's no thematic relation, we can choose that as a intertext of this. This first thing is 'the deviant representation of well.' The second is the 'syllepsis of well', this is about the double meaning of 'well', a source of drink and the mirtor. 'The repetition of act and intertextuality' is related with deviation of oneself. In the <Self portrait>, the repetition of act is combined with the change of emotion like 'hate→pity→hate→longing'. It's the correspondence of oneself as a object. The fourth is about 'intertextual homologue', this is related with mixed tense. They show the contradiction of meaning which can't be explained as a mimetic representation. So readers are to feel the intertextual drive to solve those difficult point. And I adopt the poem of Baek, Seok's, No, Cheon-Myung, etc. The most benefit of intertextuality is, I think, to make deeper the meaning of poetry, and make to avoid arbitrary interpretation. So to adopt the intertextuality in interpretation of Youn, Dong-Ju's <Self portrait> can make its meaning more deeply, clearly, and reasonably.
