Although Mycoplasma pneumonia is frequently observed in immunocompromized patient if, rarely results in acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). The cold agglutinin is positive in 33-76% of patients with M. pneumonia infection. We experienced a case of ARDS due to mycoplasma pneumonia associated with cold agglutinin disease in primary CNS lymphoma. He was a 60-year old primary CNS lymphoma patient with mycoplasma pneumonia and cold agglutinin disease who rapidly progressed to ARDS after 1 cycle of chemotherapy. He completely recovered with roxithromycin, levofloxacin, and ventilator supports. After recovery 2nd cycle of combination chemotherapy and brain radiation therapy was given and, CNS lymphoma is in complete remission until now. 원발성 중추신경계 림프종 환자에서 한냉응집소병이 동반된 마이코플라즈마 폐렴이 악화되어 급성호흡곤란증후군이 발생한 1예를 치험하였기에 이에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

Purpose: Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) has become an attractive therapeutic strategy for severe aortic stenosis (AS) in elderly patients due to its minimally-invasive nature. Therefore, early results of its clinical outcomes in elderly Korean patients were evaluated. Materials and Methods: We compared early clinical outcomes of TAVI, surgical aortic valve replacement (SAVR), and optimal medical therapy (OMT) in patients aged ≥80 years with symptomatic severe AS. Treatment groups were allocated as follows: TAVI (n=10), SAVR (n=14), and OMT (n=42). Results: Baseline clinical characteristics including predicted operative mortality were similar among the three groups. However, patients with New York Heart Association functional class III or IV symptoms and smaller aortic valve area were treated with TAVI or SAVR rather than OMT. In-hospital combined safety endpoints (all-cause mortality, major stroke, peri-procedural myocardial infarction, life-threatening bleeding, major vascular complication, and acute kidney injury) after TAVI or SAVR were significantly lower in the TAVI group than in the SAVR group (10.0% vs. 71.4%, respectively, p=0.005), along with an acceptable rate of symptom improvement and device success. During the follow-up period, the TAVI group showed the lowest rate of 3-month major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events, a composite of all-cause mortality, myocardial infarction, major stroke, and re-hospitalization (TAVI 0.0% vs. SAVR 50.0% vs. OMT 42.9%, p=0.017). Conclusion: Treatment with TAVI was associated with lower event rates compared to SAVR or OMT. Therefore, TAVI may be considered as the first therapeutic strategy in selected patients aged ≥80 years with symptomatic severe AS.

Esophageal hematoma is a rare form of esophageal injury. It may occur spontaneously, or in asociation with di-rect esophageal damage or a bleding diathesis. Endoscopy and computed tomography are generaly necesary for the establishment of a diagnosis. In this report, we present a case of esophageal hematoma that was discovered via a bedside transthoracic echocardiography. The echocardiography was conducted to evaluate an unexplained shock in a critically ill-patient. After conservative treatment, complete resolution of the esophageal hematoma was documented by a 7-day short-term follow-knowledge, this is the first case report regarding transthoracic echocardiographic detection, diferential diagnosis, and follow-up for esophageal hematoma. 등방탄소블록은 높은 온도에서 우수한 기계적 물성과 뛰어난 부식 저항력, 낮은 팽창율을 나타낸다. 이러한 특성은 등방탄소블록을 전극재료와 씰, 특수고온로, 등 전반적인 산업분야에서 핵심소재로 부상시켰다. 등방탄소블록의 주재료는 필러와 바인더이나, 공정비용 절감을 위해 자기소결성을 갖는 탄소재료가 연구되어지고 있다. 또한, 기계적물성을 개선시키는 연구도 함께 진행되고 있다. 본 실험의 주재료는 기계적물성이 향상된 등방탄소블록을 개발하기위해 자기소결성 탄소재와 short carbon fiber 가 이용되었다. 이를 통한, 본 연구의 목적은 short carbon fiber의 함류량, 자기소결성 입자사이즈가 등방탄소블록에 미치는 영향이다.
Landscape Characteristics of Sojinjeong Garden in Geochang

Background and objective: This study aimed to examine the construction intention, spatial composition, and landscape characteristics of Sojinjeong Garden, located in Geochang-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, through a literature analysis and field survey. The findings can be summarized as follows. Methods: The research method was a combination of literature review and field surveys. The history of the construction of Sojinjeong and its garden was examined through a review of the literature, while the spatial composition and landscape characteristics of the garden were analyzed through field surveys and interviews. Results: Sojinjeong Garden was created by Confucian scholar Wucheon Do Jae-gyun in the 1920s. In the background to this garden's construction, the placeness related to Nammyeong Jo Shik, a great Confucian scholar of the Joseon period, played a large role. Do Jae-gyun, the creator of the garden, placed the garden centered on Sojinjeong and Imcheongjeong where Poyeon could be seen, keeping in mind the relationship between his ancestor, Do Hee-ryeong, and Nammyeong. He also created a colony of Lagerstroemia indica, which is in full bloom in summer, around the place where they took a wind bath. Various landscape elements of Sojinjeong Garden are distributed throughout Gusa Village, including the adjacent Okgye Stream, Poyeondae, and Banwhandae. These landscape elements can be roughly classified into scenic views inside and outside the garden, structures, and vegetation. The landscape structure of the garden is divided into inner garden, outer garden, and area of influence based on the location of the landscape elements, a typical structure for an annex garden. The scenic significance contained in Sojinjeong Garden is converged into the nickname of Sojinjeong Pavilion and the word Yokgi (浴沂; Yuyi in Chinese) that appears in a poem recited in the garden. This represents the intent of the creator of the garden, who wanted to make Sojinjeong Garden a place where he could cultivate himself in harmony with nature, away from the mundane world. Conclusion: Sojinjeong Garden is an annex garden of the Nammyeong School, built in the western part of Gyeongsang-do, and is considered to be a very valuable relic. However, the original landscape of Sojinjeong Garden is changing, and a reasonable management plan should be sought by regarding it as an integrated garden relic and making an objective evaluation.
