Purpose: Purpose of this research was to identify nursing activities and the time required in the psychiatric ward to provide basic knowledge for development of cost of psychiatric nursing. Methods: In this research ``a list of psychiatric nursing activities`` was used to identify the issues. A list of psychiatric nursing activities was developed by a professional psychiatric nursing panel, and 138 nursing activities in 15 domains were identified. Results: The result of this research showed that the average number of work hours per duty was 515.1 minutes and the average number of minutes per patient per nurse while on duty was 35.7 minutes. Also the results showed that the nurses used the majority of their time in ``Nursing care and information management`` (528.0 minutes/day, 33.6%), followed by ``communication and coordination`` (209.2 minutes, 13.3%), ``safety care`` (185.3 minutes, 11.8%), and ``medication`` (120.9 minutes, 13.3%). Conclusion: The result of this research indicate that the number of nursing staff is insufficient for the performance of necessary therapeutic activities. Nursing practices such as counseling, activity therapy, and psychiatric treatment and specific therapy need to be developed and nursing care fees need to be included in psychiatric nursing fields.

Purpose: The study was done to examine undergraduate student`` suicidal ideation and to identify influences of individual characteristics including psychological resilience and self-control on suicidal ideation. Methods: Data were collected from 400 students in 11 universities in D city from May 1 to June 30, 2011. Data were analyzed with t-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson` correlation using SPSS 19.0. Results: Of the students, 11.3% reported suicidal ideation levels higher than average. Woman students and those with high career anxiety, perceived poor health condition and bad relationships showed higher points on suicidal ideation. Suicidal ideation was also negatively correlated with psychological resilience and self-control. Conclusion: Over 10.0% of students need careful attention on suicidal ideation, especially counselling service related to suicide prevention for students with poor health, high career anxiety, and bad relationships. Various programs should be developed to promote psychological resilience to improve health and relationships, as well as job guidance for students. It is also suggested the students`` experiences be examined to determine how they overcame suicidal ideation.

This study was done to identify the influence of nursing work environment and social support on multidimensional organizational commitment among nurses. Methods: The survey was conducted in August 2012 with selfreport questionnaire. Participants were 480 registered nurses working in one general hospital. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression using SPSS/WIN(16.0). Results: The average scores were; for affective commitment 2.84, for continuance commitment 2.48, and for normative commitment 2.57. There were significant relationships between affective, continuance, normative commitment and sub-factors of nursing work environment and social support. The affective, continuance, and normative commitment were all influenced by ‘staffing and resource adequacy’ and ‘nursing foundations for quality of care’, sub-factors of nursing work environment. Distinctively, affective commitment was influenced by ‘staffing and resource adequacy’, nurses’ age, ‘nurse-doctor relations’, ‘supervisor’s emotional support’, ‘nurse participation in hospital affairs’, ‘nursing foundations for quality of care’, and ‘supervisor’s informational support’, which explained 30.9% of variance in affective commitment(F=31.57, p<.001). Conclusion: The findings show that programs which promote supervisors`` emotional and informational support are important to enhance nurses’ affective commitment. Also, itis necessary to improve nursing work environment to improve nurses’ organizational commitment.
정신질환자 부모를 둔 학령기 자녀의 회복력 증진 전략 : 프로그램 참여 코치의 경험 분석

본 연구는 정신질환자 부모를 둔 학령기 아동의 회복력 증진 방안을 탐색하고, 아동의 건강한 성장을 도모하기 위한 기초자료를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 시도하였으며, 정신질환자 부모를 둔 아동의 회복력 증진 프로그램에 참여한 코치를 대상으로 포커스 집단 인터뷰를 실시하고 분석하는 질적 연구이다. 대상자는 간호사 팀 6명, 학생팀 5명, 정신건강사회복지사팀 5명이었고, 2019년 6월 14일부터 6월 28일까지 팀별로 1회 씩 총 3회 집단 면담을’ 실시하였으며, 내용 분석 방법으로 최종 자료를 분석하였다. 인터뷰 내용을 분석한 결과 324개의 의미 있는 코드를 추출하였고, 3개의 주제와 12개의 하위범주를 도출하였다. 3개의 주제는 회복력 증진을 위한 개인 중심 전략, 회복력 증진을 위한 가족 중심 전략, 회복력 증진을 위한 정책적 전략 이었다. 정신질환자 부모를 둔 학령기 자녀의 회복력을 증진 시키기 위해서는 아이의 어려움을 이해하고, 개인, 가족, 지역사회 측면에서의 접근 전략이 필요하며, 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 지역사회의 취약 계층 아동을 대상으로 하는 프로그램이 지속적으로 이루어져야 할 것이다. The study aims to investigate ways to improve the resilience of school-aged children whose parents have mental disorders and provide basic information to encourage the healthy development of the children. This was a qualitative study in which interviews were conducted with a focus group consisting of coaches who participated in a program to promote the resilience of children with parents who have mental disorders. Six nurses, five students, and five mental health social workers participated as study subjects, and a total of three group meetings were held once with each team from June 14 to 28, 2019. The final data were analyzed through the content analysis method. An analysis of the interviews resulted in the extraction of 324 meaningful codes and 3 topics and 12 categories. First, individual resilience strategies, second, family-oriented strategies to enhance resilience Third, a Community strategy to promote resilience. Improving the resilience of school-aged children with parents who have mental disorders requires an understanding of the children’s difficulties and approach strategies at the individual, family, and community levels. Based on the results of the study, community programs targeting vulnerable children will be needed continuously.
