        Different mechanism of capacitance change for gas detection using semiconducting and metallic single-walled carbon nanotubes

        Semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotubes (s-SWCNTs) with lower absorption energy of NO2 gas exhibited higher sensitivity than metallic SWCNTs. The result originated from quantum capacitance of s- SWCNTs, which was readily affected by charge transfer, whereas that of m-SWCNTs showed no change with even more transferred charges. However, m-SWCNT that were aligned polarize adsorbed gases on the surface by a local field that contributed the capacitance changes of m-SWCNT networks. This is a newly introduced detection mechanism of gas sensing using m-SWCNTs.

        유방암 진단에 있어 3 T 확산강조영상의 현성확산계수값과 양전자방출단층촬영술의 최대표준섭취계수의 유방암 예후 예측 가능성: 유방암 예후인자에 대한 평가

        Purpose: To correlate the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) value and peak standardized uptake value (pSUV) with histologic grade and clinical prognostic factors of breast ductal carcinoma. Materials and Methods: Fifty breast cancers of 49 patients (age range: 37-83 years, mean: 53 years) were studied retrospectively. The breast cancers included 4 ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) and 46 invasive ductal carcinomas (IDC). The relationships for both pSUV and ADC values with clinicopathological prognostic factors (age, tumor size, histologic grade, nodal metastasis, hormone receptor and HER-2 neu status) were statistically evaluated. Results: The histologic type of ductal carcinoma include DCIS (n = 4) and IDC (n = 46, grade 1 = 10, grade 2 = 13, and grade 3 = 23). pSUV was associated with histologic grade and tumor size and the ADC value was associated with histologic grade (p < 0.05). As the histologic grade becomes higher, the ADC values decrease, while pSUV and pSUV/ADC increase (p < 0.05). The characterization accuracy of pSUV/ADC (90.2%) was higher than pSUV (86.7%) and ADC values (25.4%) alone for the diagnosis of breast cancer (p < 0.05). Conclusion: pSUV and ADC values correlated with histologic grade, and tumor size. The pSUV/ADC value had a high accuracy for the diagnosis of breast cancer. Therefore, pSUV and ADC values provided additional information for predicting histologic grade and prognosis of breast cancer. 목적: 유방 병변에 대한 확산강조영상의 현성확산계수(apparent diffusion coefficient; 이하 ADC)값과 양전자방출단층촬영술의 최대표준섭취계수(peak standardized uptake value; 이하 pSUV)를 구하여 유방암의 조직등급과 유방의 예후 인자의 상관관계를 알아보고자 하였다. 대상과 방법: 조직이 확진된 49명의 50개의 유방암(연령: 37~83세, 평균: 53세)을 후향적으로 분석하였다. 각 병변의 ADC값과 pSUV를 유방암의 예후 인자들(나이, 종양크기, 조직등급, 림프절 전이, 호르몬 수용체, HER-2 수용체)의 연관성을 분석하였다. 결과: 조직 검사 결과, 관상피내암이 4개, 침윤성 관상피암이 46개(조직등급: 1등급 10개, 2등급 13개, 3등급 23개)였다. pSUV와 조직등급, 종양크기는 유의한 상관관계를 보였고, ADC값은 조직등급과 유의한 상관관계를 보였다(p < 0.05). 유방암의 조직등급이 높아짐에 따라 pSUV와 pSUV/ADC는 증가하였고, ADC값은 낮아졌다(p < 0.05). pSUV/ADC의 진단적 정확도(90.2%)가 pSUV(86.7%)와 ADC값(25.4%)보다 높았다(p < 0.05). 결론: pSUV, ADC값과 pSUV/ADC는 유방암의 조직등급, 종양의 크기와 유의한 상관관계를 보였고, pSUV/ADC는 진단적 정확도가 유의하게 높아 pSUV와 ADC값은 유방암의 조직등급과 예후 예측에 도움이 된다.

        Churg-Strauss Syndrome with Cardiac Involvement: A Case Report with CT and MRI Findings

        This is a case report of Churg-Strauss Syndrome (CSS) associated with cardiac involvement which is demonstrated in chest CT and cardiac MRI (CMR) without specific cardiac symptoms. A 32-year-old woman had a 3-year history of bronchial asthma, chronic sinusitis, and otitis media. The patient had various typical findings of CSS. The patient had no specific cardiac symptoms or signs such as chest pain, palpitations, syncope, or murmur, but she had diffuse low attenuation lesions in the inner wall of the left ventricle (LV) in contrast-enhanced CT. This corresponded to the area of subendocardial hyperenhancement in delayed contrast-enhanced CMR images. She was treated with steroids for 2 months. Follow-up delayed contrast-enhanced CMR of the LV showed a decrease in the size of the subendocardial enhancement area, and she had no symptoms. Therefore, the radiologist and clinician both should pay careful attention to observe possible cardiac involvement in case of CSS.

        자율운항선박 도입에 따른 해기사 직능 변화와 인력양성에 관한 연구

        This study aims to investigate changes in the demand for ship officers in response to changes in the shipping industry environment in which Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS) emerge according to the application of the fourth industrial revolution technology to ships, and it looks into changes in the skill of ship officer. It also analyzes and proposes a plan for nurturing ship officers accordingly. As a result of the degree of recognition and AHP analysis, this study suggests that a new training system is required because the current training and education system may cover the job competencies of emergency response, caution and danger navigation, general sailing, cargo handling, seaworthiness maintenance, emergency response, and ship maintenance and management, but tasks such as remote control, monitoring diagnosis, device management capability, and big data analysis require competency for unmanned and shore-based control. By evaluating the importance of change factors in the duties of ship officers in Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships, this study provides information on ship officer educational institutions’ response strategies for nurturing ship officers and prioritization of resource allocation, etc. The importance of these factors was compared and evaluated to suggest changes in the duties of ship officers and methods of nurturing ship officers according to the introduction of Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships. It is expected that the findings of this study will be meaningful as it systematically derives the duties and competency factors of ship officers of Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships from a practical point of view and analyzed the perception level of each relevant expert to diagnose expert-level responses to the introduction of Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships. 본 연구는 제4차 산업혁명 기술에 의해 선박의 자동화와 지능화가 진전되면서 자율운항선박이 도입되게 됨에 따라 해기사 인력수요 축소와 직능 전환 등의 문제가 대두되는 상황에서 해기사의 직무변화와 이에 따른 요구 역량을 분석하고 이를 배양하기 위한 인력양성 방향을 제시하였다. 선행연구 검토와 전문가 집단의 브레인스토밍과 AHP 설문조사를 통해 자율운항선박의 해기사 직무와 역량 요인을 도출하고 그 중요도를 평가하였다. 해기사 승선 자율운항선박의 해기사 직무 중에서 안전 운항과 비상시 대응 그리고 화물의 안전운송 관련 직무요인이 중요한 것으로 나타났으며, 자율운항시스템의 제어 및 운용 역량의 중요성이 매우 높으며 이를 뒷받침하기 위한 육·해상 커뮤니케이션과 AI 및 Big Data 분석 역량이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 완전자율운항선박의 해기사 직무는 예상하지 못한 비상상황에 대비하여 선박을 안전하게 원격운항시키는 비상상황대처, 원격운항제어, 선박정비ㆍ관리 직무 순으로 중요도가 높으며, 해기사 역량에서는 자율운항시스템 제어와 운용 그리고 이를 수행하기 위한 Big Data 와 AI 활용 역량들의 중요도가 매우 높은 것으로 분석되었다, 이러한 요인들의 직무역량 함양을 위한 해기인력 양성 방향과 규모는 기술의 진보에 따라 크게 달라질 수 있는 점을 고려하여 자율운항선박 도입단계별로 필요한 해기사 교육 프로그램과 직무교육 내용 그리고 핵심역량 함양을 위한 교육인프라 구축 방안을 제시하였다. 이 연구는 자율운항선박의 해기사 직무 및 역량 요인을 실무적 관점에서 체계적으로 도출하였으며, 관련 전문가별 인식도를 분석함으로써 자율운항선박 도입에 대한 전문가 차원의 대응 방안을 진단하였다는데 연구의 의의가 있다.

        산업기계용 고밀도 Bevel Gear 제품화를 위한 성형성 연구

        회전성형법은 프레스 축 중심에 대하여 일정한 각도로 경사진 요동축과 원추형상의 상부 금형을 축 중심에 대하여 회전시키고, 소재를 상승 가압하면 상부금형과 소재가 점진적으로 접촉하면서 제품을 성형하는 공정이다. 본 연구팀에서 개발된 회전 분말단조 프레스(500kN)를 이용해서 산업용 고밀도 베벨기어의 성형성 실험을 수행하였다. 실험결과로 회전 분말단조 공정과 회전 분말성형 공정에서의 성형하중, 성형밀도, 경도, 미세조직 등의 변화를 조사하여 제품의 기계적 성질을 규명하고 실제로 산업 전반에 적용할 수 있는 기능성을 제시한다. This study is concerned with the cold forging of sintered preform by rotary forging process and direct powder compacting process. An experiment has been carried out using the rotary powder forging press(500kN) which had been designed and equipped with the rotational conical die inclined to the central axis of the press at certain angle The effect of process variables was observed and measured by several mechanical test, such as hardness distribution, density, and microstructure of the specimens. It is found that the highly densified P/M parts can be obtained and this process is very effective for improving quality of the powder products.

        척추의 중심점과 Modified U-Net을 활용한 딥러닝 기반 척추 자동 분할

        Osteoporosis is a disease in which the risk of bone fractures increases due to a decrease in bone density caused by aging. Osteoporosis is diagnosed by measuring bone density in the total hip, femoral neck, and lumbar spine. To accurately measure bone density in the lumbar spine, the vertebral region must be segmented from the lumbar X-ray image. Deep learning-based automatic spinal segmentation methods can provide fast and precise infor- mation about the vertebral region. In this study, we used 695 lumbar spine images as training and test datasets for a deep learning segmentation model. We proposed a lumbar automatic segmentation model, CM-Net, which combines the center point of the spine and the modified U-Net network. As a result, the average Dice Similarity Coeffi- cient(DSC) was 0.974, precision was 0.916, recall was 0.906, accuracy was 0.998, and Area under the Precision-Recall Curve (AUPRC) was 0.912. This study demonstrates a high-performance automatic segmentation model for lumbar X-ray images, which overcomes noise such as spinal fractures and implants. Furthermore, we can perform accurate measurement of bone density on lumbar X-ray images using an automatic segmentation methodology for the spine, which can prevent the risk of compression fractures at an early stage and improve the accuracy and efficiency of oste- oporosis diagnosis.

        Preserving long-term emission stability of carbon nanotube field emitter using aluminum layer

        Carbon nanotube (CNT) field emitter was fabricated, and then its emission stability was evaluated with three different anode structures; indium tin oxide (ITO)/glass, ZnS:Cu,Al(green phosphor)/ITO/glass, and Al/ZnS:Cu,Al/ITO/glass. It was found that the electron emission from CNTs to the phosphor layer degrades much faster than the emission to ITO layer does. The current decay time from 100 μA/㎠ to 50 μA/㎠ for ITO/glass and ZnS:Cu,Al/ITO/glass were 250 h and 20 h, respectively. Such rapid decay in emission current with the phosphor-coated anode was found to be attributed to the formation of Zn particles on CNTs during the field emission. However, the deposition of aluminum layer on the phosphor, in other words, using the anode structure of Al/ZnS:Cu,Al/ITO/glass recovered the stability that is comparable to that with an ITO/glass. The aluminum layer was found to efficiently prevent phosphor elements from being degassed, preserving the long-term emission stability of carbon nanotubes.
