In order to inverstigate interactive effects of Samultang(SMT) and SMT composition and the principle of prescription, I examined the effects of SMT and combination of three components of SMT, In C57BL/6 mouse with oral administration of SMT and cyclophosphamide(CTX) treatment, white blood cells, platelet were counted. Also, those were anti-anemia effect for rat which have hemolytic anemia induced by phenylhydrazine. The results were summerized as follows 1. In uivo analysis of the effect of the SMT by orally administrated C57BL/6 mice with the SMT and was treated with cyclophosphamide (CTX). When the number of white blood cell. platelet was counted, there was ameliorative effects of leucopenia or thrombocytopenia as a protection to CTX. 2. It was acknowledged that SMT and its composition increased RBC count and hemlytic significantly in rat which have hemolytic anemia. 3. Among SMT composition Angelicae gigantic Radix and Cnidii Rhizoma solution and among the combination group Rehmanniae Radix and Cnidii Rhizoma combination and SMT solution showed significant effects for hemoglobin and weight. of spleen in mouse which have hemolytic anemia. Thus it was acknowledged that Rehmanniae Radix and Cnidii Rhizoma combination had effect to improve hemoglobin and weight of spleen. From above these results it was acknowledged that SMT has effects that ameliorative effects of leucopenia or thrombocytopenia as a protection to CTX and anti-anemic effect for the rat which have hemolytic anemia induced by phenylhydrazine and these effects depend upon its combination of SMT composition. Especially it was acknowleged, though there are the slight difference according to combination, that Paeoniae Radix Alba combination had improving effect for physical change. So it is though that Paeoniae Radix Alba is main material for this kind of disease and continuous study is needed.
2P-290 Optically tunable polarized light controller with photo-responsive metallomesogen

The performance of optical devices depends on the chemical structures of dyes because the light polarization is strongly related with molecular orientation. Therefore, High dichroic ratios (DR) molecules should be developed to maximize the performances of optical devices. To achieve a sufficiently large DR, a palladium(II)-based metallomesogen that have azobenzene-moiety was synthesized (Pd(DA)<sub>2</sub>). Pd(DA)<sub>2</sub> have a four azobenzene groups linked with central organo palladium bridge. DSC, SAXS and WAXD were used to investigate the molecular packing structure depending on the temperature. For practical applications in the optical devices, the molecular orientation of the Pd(DA)<sub>2</sub> was tuned in the electrode patterned substrate. Finally, we demonstrated the tunable polarized absorption properties of Pd(DA)<sub>2</sub>-doped cell by remote-controlling the UV and Vis lights. <sup>**</sup>This work was supported by the BK21 Plus, the BRL 2015042417, and Mid-Career Researcher Program (2016R1A2B2011041).
Paintable Metallic Coloration with Amphiphilic Azobenzene Organic Dye Using Crystal Engineering

Using programmed hierarchical superstructures and self-assembly control of supramolecular dyes with various dimensions, we developed amphiphilic azobenzene organic dye (A<sub>1</sub>GC) with metallic gold coloration. During the recrystallization process, large clustered powdery textures with smooth surfaces are formed by merging small powder crystals from the morphological and diffraction study. The A1GC crystal offered the sharp contrast between intensive light absorption and reflection, resulting in the metallic gold coloration. We can produce organic paintable dyes with brilliant gold color by the combination of hierarchical superstructures and chemical functionalities. When A<sub>1</sub>GC thin film crystals are blended with polymers (Poly vinyl alcohol) to produce the composite materials, A<sub>1</sub>GC can be used in optoelectronic devices.
拱辰丹 方義에 대한 고찰 : 『東醫寶鑑』의 내용을 중심으로

Objectives : 본 연구는 임상에 유용하게 활용되기 위해 『東醫寶鑑』의 拱辰丹 내용을 고찰하여 拱辰丹의 方義와 적용 대상과 작용 기전을 밝혀내는 것이 목표이다. Methods : 먼저 한의학 원문 데이터베이스를 활용하여 拱辰丹 관련 자료들을 검토하였다. 또한 『是齋百一選方』과 『東醫寶鑑』의 관련 내용을 분석하고, 拱辰丹의 구성 약재들에 대한 효능을 『東醫寶鑑』과 『중약대사전』을 중심으로 검토하였다. Results & conclusion : 『東醫寶鑑』에서 拱辰丹을 적응증을 연령대와 장부별로 검토한 결과, 연령대별 拱辰丹의 적용 대상은 先天 稟賦가 부족한 소아와 壯年에게는 사용할 수는 있으나 노인에게는 가장 적합하다고는 할 수 없었다. 장부별로는 『東醫寶鑑』 「虛勞門」의 의하면 拱辰丹은 水升火降의 기전에서 水에서 火로 상승시키는 작용이 있어, 肝虛로 인하여 精血이 耗損을 補하면서 기운을 끌어올려 불안하며 두려워하는 精神 증상을 치료할 수 있었다. 따라서 拱辰丹은 젊은 나이에 체력이 약하면서 겁먹고 의욕이 없는 상태에 사용하는 것이 가장 적합하다고 할 수 있다. Objectives : This paper aims to lay out the meaning of Gongjindan, its indications and mechanisms based on relevant contents in the 『Donguibogam』, for better clinical application. Methods : First, Gongjindan related contents were searched in the medical classics database. Next, contents from the 『Shizhaibaiyixuanfang』 and the 『Donguibogam』 were analyzed. Finally, the properties of the Gongjindan ingredients were examined based on the 『Donguibogam』 and the 『Zhongyaodacidian』. Results & Conclusions : Examination of its indications according to the 『Donguibogam』 in terms of applicable age and viscera/bowels, Gongjindan could be applied to children with constitutional insufficiency and elder generations, but it could not be said to be most appropriate for older generations. In regards to viscera/bowels, Gongjindan sends water upwards into fire in the water-rising-fire-descending mechanism, which makes it applicable to symptoms of anxiety and fear by tonifying the consumed Jing and Blood caused by Liver deficiency. To summarize, those who would most benefit from Gongjindan are young adults in weak, fearful and lethargic conditions
Flexible Broadband Mirrors with Stacked Multilayer Cholesteric Liquid Crystal Paints

Using layer-by-layer (LBL) coating and photopolymerization, we developed circular-polarized and free-standing mirrors with broad reflection bandwidth. Because of viscoelasticity and intrinsic chirality, cholesteric liquid crystal (CLC) paints can be prepared by simple brush coating. The helical pitch of the CLC paints were controlled by concentration of the chiral reactive mesogen with acrylate-based reactive mesogen. The CLC film showed excellent mechanical, thermal and chemical stabilities by stabilizing with photopolymerization. The sequentially stacked CLC films had finely tuned helical pitch and it is confirmed by SEM combined with optical calculations. The CLC film reflected visible light over the whole visible wavelength region. The continuous LBL coating provides a simple solution for fabricating full-color reflector.
