Integrated Magnetic Transformer for ZVS Phase Shift Full Bridge Converter

An integrated magnetic (IM) transformer is proposed for a phase shifted full bridge (PSFB) converter with zero voltage switching (ZVS). In a proposed IM transformer, the transformer is located on the center leg of E-core and the output inductor is wound on two outer legs with air gap. The proposed IM transformer is analyzed by using the magnetic capacitor model. For reducing the core size, EE core is redesigned. The proposed IM transformer is experimentally verified on a 1.2 kW prototype converter. The converter efficiency with the proposed IM transformer is about 93 % at full load and its volume size can be reduced. It can be expected that the power density can be largely increased with the proposed IM transformer.
요구르트를 이용한 구강간호가 경관영양환자의 설태 제거와 구강안위에 미치는 효과

Purpose: This study examined the effect of the oral care using yogurt on the reduction of the tongue coating and the level of oral comfort in patients being tube feeding. Method: There were 64 tube feeding patients at the S medical center(experimental group : 31, control group : 33). The subjects in the experimental group received oral care using yogurt containing Lactobacillus acidophilus. The control group received oral care using 0.02% chlorhexidine gluconate. Oral care was performed twice daily for 1 week in both groups. The scores for the tongue coating, oral dryness, and the level of oral comfort were used to measure the effect of the oral care. The data were analyzed by the SPSS WIN 11.5. Result: the degree of the tongue coating and oral dryness were significantly lower in the experimental group than in the control group. The degree of oral comfort was significantly higher in the experimental group than in the control group. Conclusion: Oral care using yogurt is effective in reducing the tongue coating, oral dryness, and oral discomfort. Therefore this oral care method can be used to improve the level of oral comfort in patients who are tube feeding.

본 연구에서는 eNOS 유전자에 대한 한국인 특이적 SNP를 확인하고자 하였다. eNOS (endothelial nitric oxide synthase)는 내피세포에서 발현되는 산화질소(nitric oxide, NO)를 합성하는 유전자로 관동맥 연축 및 혈압에 영향을 미친다. 이 유전자는 발현이 항상 일정한 constitutivegene으로 7번 염색체에 위치한다. 최근 연구 보고에 따르면 exon 7에 해당하는 894번째 염기 변이[G894T (Glu298Asp)]의 다형성이 심근경색 및 관상동맥 경련의 발병원에 기여하는 유전적 요소일 가능성으로 제시되었다. SNP가 모든 환자에게서 직접적으로 질환의 원인은 아닐지라도 일부 환자에게서는 상당한 연관성이 있다고 보여지고, 인종 간에도 차이가 있기 때문에 인종별로 이를 정확히 분석하는 것이 유전자 진단에 핵심이 될 것으로 생각된다. eNOS 유전자에서 다형성 부분에 해당하는 sense primer와 antisense primer를 고안, 제작하였으며, ARMS 기법에 기초한 방법으로 allele 특이적인 산물이 생성될 수 있게 하였다. eNOS의 G894T는 wild type (W/W)이 95명, heterozygote type (W/S)이 9명 확인되었다. SNP homozygote type (S/S)은 나타나지 않았다. 환자에서는 W/W 19명, W/S 1명으로 역시 S/S은 나타나지 않았다. 본 연구를 통해 eNOS에 대한 한국인 특이적 다형성의 확인과 진단이 보다 신속 정확하게 이루어질 수 있는 기반이 마련될 것으로 기대된다. We identified SNPs (single nucleotide polymorphisms) for endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) genes in the Korean genome. eNOS is present in the vascular endothelium, platelets, and several other cell types that continuously produce modest amounts of NO. Endothelium-derived NO plays a key role in the regulation of vascular tone, and the impaired effects of NO on the cardiovascular system appear to be responsible for coronary atherosclerosis and thrombosis. In recent studies, a missense variant within exon 7 of the eNOS gene in patients with coronary spastic angina?GAG to GAT substitution, which results in the replacement of glutamic acid by aspartic acid (Glu298Asp [G894T])?has been identified and is known to be significantly associated with coronary spasm. We prepared PCR primers based on sequences in Genbank. Primers were prepared for normal and SNPs separately, as reported for other Asian countries, such as G894T. Their sequences were different only at the 3" ends so that primer extension could only by possible when base pairs between templates and primers matched. We also employed ARMS (Amplification Refractory Mutation System) technology to improve the specificity of the PCR reaction. In conclusion, we were able to demonstrate the eNOS G894A polymorphism in Korean gemone. This study should facilitate research on the cause of myocardial infarction and development on further therapy at the genetic level.

In this paper, the coal mass flow of the pulverizer used in the coal-fired power plants is modeled in view of the controller design rather than the educational simulator. The coal mass flow is modeled by reinvestigating the mass balance models physically. To identify the model parameters, the Matlab Simulation Tool is used with the data gained from a plant database. It can be seen that the simulated model outputs are well matched with the measured ones.
Comparison and Evaluation of Anti-windup PI Controllers

This paper presents a comparison and evaluation between different anti-windup proportional-integral (PI) controller strategies used in variable-speed motor drives, and the anti-windup methods are to the speed control of a vector-controlled induction motor driven by a pulse width modulated (PWM) voltage-source inverter (VSI). The simulation results are compared for the different operating conditions and the characteristic of speed response has been analyzed in order to obtain the optimal performance of anti-windup PI controller method.
Ti-Ni-X (X = Cu, Al) 형상기억합금의 의탄성 및 내식성에 관한 연구

Pseudoelasticity behaviour and passivetion treatment on the shape memory alloys are known to have a great deal of influence on the stability of transformation temperature, shape recovery and improvement of corrosion resistance characteristics in their practical applications. The present work was aimed to examine the pseudoelasticity characteristics by tensile test, and corrosion resistance characteristics by corrosion test in Ti-Ni-X(X-Al, Cu) alloys with/ without passivation treatment. The results of this study are as follows, 1. The results of tensile test for Ti-Ni-X(X-Al, Cu) alloys show that the shape recovery is nearly perfect in martensite state and critical stress for slip is increased with increasing strain. Also, the pseudoelasticity behaviour appears in Ti_(50.0)Ni_(40.0)Cu_(10.0) alloy by unloading at temperature above Af and Ti_(50.0)Ni_(49.0)Al_(10.0) alloy by cold working over 25%. 2. The results of the anodic polarization corrosion test show that the corrosion resistance characteristics of Ti-Ni based alloys can be increased by application of passivation treatment and Ti-Ni-X(X=Al, Cu) alloys has better corrosion resistance characteristics than Ti-Ni equiatomic composition alloy.
