Research and development activities have been actively conducted at universities, research institutions and research laboratories which belong to corporations. Because of blooming research and development activities in various fields, safety accidents in the laboratories happen consistently. The government office established Act on the establishment of safe laboratory environment to decrease safety accident rates and make environment of laboratories better, and it is effective slowly. However, in the case of laboratory safety management of the laboratory where various research and development activities are carried out. So it is difficult to closely monitor them. Even though safety inspections and periodic inspections is regularly conducted, these are focused on facilities and environment. According to a study of Dea-deok science town safety council, accidents in laboratories of 73% have arisen out of careless actions. Therefore, it is important for researchers to know to potential harmful factors in research. there is necessary to make a system to prevent laboratory accidents. The purpose of this study is that the researchers discovered potential hazard factors in laboratories. For that, foreign laboratory safety management systems has applied to domestic laboratories. Four laboratories in targeted institution has been selected to apply the appropriate personal protection equipments, job safety assessment and standard operating procedures. And I found the limitations of the process according to the excavations harmful factors in the research process. To overcome these limitations, Suggest a laboratory safety management system. This study discovered current laboratory safety system limitations and provides alternatives so that effective safety management can be achieved

A study was made on the probabilistic analysis of the bearing capacity factors. The great degree of uncertainty encountered in the analysis of ultimate bearing capacity of a footing suggests the use of statistical analysis and probability theory, instead of conventional deterministic approach. The internal friction angle of soil was considered as a random variable following the general beta distribution in the present study. The bearing capacity factors were calculated using the generated friction angles. The bearing capacity equation suggested by Hansen was adopted to compute the factors. The mean and variance of the bearing capacity factor were found for the given mean and coefficient of variation of the internal friction angles. A computer program was developed and several case studies were made using the developed program.

The Role of Ritual for Peacemaking of Racial Conflicts in the US - Theories of Conflict Resolution in Complementary Practice -

This essay provides a substantive study of the faith-based racial conflict resolution by analyzing and evaluating the role of religious ritual to resolve racial conflicts in dealing with ethical values. It also offers a new, religiously sensitive approach to social justice and reconciliation. As this essay argues, religious ritual offers important resources for conceptualizing peacemaking processes and identity-based conflicts in and among human communities. This study considers two questions: First, what alternative religious practices might engage, in context, racial tension and be implemented as an alternative to racial conflicts? Second, what religious values provide effective pastoral resources to critically assess today’s racial conflicts and social crisis, and suggest a way to resolve them? These questions are addressed by a study of the ethical and social implications of modern American churches. Inspired by the leadership of two female pastors and their social thoughts based on forgivingness and reconciliation, these churches and their joint worship services provide a relevant way for faith-based peacebuilding projects that present concrete proposals for the social roles of the church as peacebuilders.

지구윤리로서 마틴 루터 킹의 사회적 인격주의 연구

The focus in this essay is Martin Luther King's social philosophy of personalism. King’s proponents state that his social personalism still presents a strong alternative vision to the global capitalist ideology– i.e., neo-liberalism. Global capitalism can be characterized as competitive and dehumanized commodity relationships. What social vision could provide the alternative to a neo-liberal system that is destroying the nature of humanity? In personalism, King built his views of a caring God and the sanctity of every person’s life, regardless of race or class. Personalism is a philosophical approach that sees persons and personality as the keys to understanding ultimate reality. King's view of human dignity was chiefly theistic, like Boston Personalism. His greatest contribution to the philosophy of personalism was his consistent application of its principles to the social problems of his day: racism, poverty, and militarism. He integrated his personalist ideals with a democratic socialist vision. King had much to say about the dignity of personhood. He knew that people should never be treated as a means, but always an end. To him, non-violence is not a tactic but a way of life. This article will provide: 1) a brief sketch of some of the key figures and ideas in Boston Personalism, focusing on social ethics, 2) some comments on what King's own social personalism - particularly his contribution to global ethics - can bring to the treatment of contemporary issues such as democratization of the global economy and participation in geo-politics, such as war and militarism. 본 연구는 마틴 루터 킹의 사회철학인 ‘인격주의’가 지구적 자본주의 이념인 신자유주의에 대항해 여전히 유효한 사회적 비전임을 강조한다. 지구적 자본주의의 특징은 경쟁적이며 비인간화된 상품관계이다. 인간의 본질을 파괴하는 신자유주의의 체제에 대한 대안적 사회적 비전은 무엇일까? 인격주의 철학 속에서 킹은 인종과 경제적 계급에 상관없이 모든 인간을 돌보는 하느님과 인간의 거룩성의 이념을 세웠다. 인격주의는 궁극적 실재를 이해함에 있어 인간과 인격성을 핵심으로 보는 철학적 접근방법이다. 킹의 인간 존엄성에 대한 관점은 보스톤 인격주의처럼 유신론적 인격주의 입장이다. 인격주의 철학에 대한 그의 가장 큰 기여는 그의 시대의 사회적 문제들인 인종차별주의, 경제적 착취, 군사주의에 인격주의의 원칙을적용한 것이다. 그는 인격주의 사상과 민주적 사회주의의 이상을 통합하였다. 킹은 인간의 존엄성에 대해 많은 이야기를 하였는데 인간을 수단이 아니라 목적으로 대우해야 함을 역설하였다. 그에게 비폭력은 사회운동의 전술이 아니라 삶의 한 방식이었다. 이 글안에서 우선 보스톤 인격주의의 주요한 사상가와 철학들을 사회윤리학에 집중하여 정리하고, 킹의 사회인격주의를 지구윤리에 대한 기여의 측면에서 현 세계의 경제 민주화와 전쟁과 군사주의 같은 지역갈등의 문제에 대한 해결을 가져올 수 있는지 논할 것이다.

딥러닝 기반 사용자 친화형 키오스크 시스템

This study aims to provide a customized dynamic kiosk screen that considers user characteristics in response to the increasing use of kiosks. To optimize screen layout based on the characteristics of digital vulnerable groups such as visually impaired individuals, elderly people, children, and wheelchair users, object detection, gait recognition, and speech recognition technologies are comprehensively employed. The user's characteristics (wheelchair usage, visual impairment, age, etc.) are analyzed and users are classified into nine categories accordingly in real-time. The kiosk screen dynamically adjusts based on the user's characteristics, allowing efficient service provision. This research was conducted in an embedded environment, and the communication and operation of the system took place. The object detection, gait recognition, and speech recognition technologies used demonstrated accuracies of 74%, 98.9%, and 96%, respectively. The proposed technology was implemented as a prototype and validated for its utility. Through this, the research demonstrated the potential of narrowing the digital divide and providing user-friendly 'Barrier-Free Kiosk' services.

Predicting pile stresses, the compressive stresses were varied greatly in accordance with the fall and weight of ram. A wave-equation-formulated Bowles' computer program of the pile-driving process was shown to have considerable application to pile foundation as a design and instalation aid. Granvile, Nanninga, and Ohzaki' formula were compared with the values of the wave equation by Bowles. According to the results, Ohzaki' formula was shown good correlation with the computer program by Bowles.
