Need for plasma resistant ceramic materials has been continuously increased in semiconductor and display industry requiring plasma processing to realize ultra fine circuit process. Among promising candidates, alumina ceramics have still some advantages with respect to its economic aspect. In this study, fabrication of plasma resistant alumina ceramics was tried, and its processing optimization was also aimed. Careful processing control and thereby uniform microstructure of $Al_2O_3$ gave rise to enhanced plasma resistance, even comparable to market-governing commercial $Al_2O_3$. A further study is needed concerning ${\beta}-Al_2O_3$ materials system, presumably playing a decisive role in decreasing plasma resistance of $Al_2O_3$ ceramics.

This is the first study analyzing Prince An Pyeong’s dream, the main character of “Dream Journey to the Peach Blossom Land (henceforth abbreviated <Dream Journey>),” which is the most important milestone in the history of Korean painting, from a psychoanalytic perspective. According to the analysis of Prince An Pyeong’s <Dream Journey>, which is based on Tao Yuanming’s <The Peach Blossom Spring>, a representative poet of China’s Jin(晉) Dynasty, “Prince An-pyeong wishes for a world of father object with a mother object.” Utopia for An Pyeong was an unconscious fantasy that repeatedly emerged at the end of King Se- jong’s reign, and his life’s direction was to follow his father’s will and protect the eldest son’s succession as desired by the father. Based on the foregoing analysis, the author concluded that in the Korean utopia, King Sejong’s space as an important object, was unconsciously progressing and how the unconscious contents-latent dream-affected the artistic form.

Technological and artistic advancements spurred by the invention of cameras have made photography important in our daily lives and in the area of modern art. Based on reviews of some articles and books, this report studies the relationship between photography and psychoanalysis. In psychoanalysis, photography and cameras could be understood as something that give some conscious and unconscious satisfaction by combining voyeuristic and exhibitionistic desires with one’s aggressive aspect. Strong appeal of photography may come from its characteristic ability to gratify various levels of unconscious wishes. In addition, this article explains that the photography and cameras have close relationships with some ego functions, namely object constancy, reality definition, etc. Especially, the photography seems to function like a psychic apparatus between unconscious wishes and the reality. Such a psychoanalytic view may give new understanding of photography.

In first paper, the author explained that Rousseau’s series of jungles was a process which created an unconscious fantasy towards the mother Object. Based on this content, this paper analyzes various landscapes, figures, and still life paintings. Rousseau’s unconscious was expressed in response to these three genres of reality conditions, resulting in the creation of his own individual space and style on the canvas. ‘Naïve’ and ‘primitive,’ which are art history experts’ evaluations of him, label Rousseau’s unique ability to interact with and express the unconscious like a child. Through the results of this analysis, the author argues that Rousseau’s position in modern painting is important and was pivotal for the course of art history, and that the unconscious perspective provides the context for his artistic style.

Homogeneous multicomponent indium gallium zinc oxide (IGZO) ceramics for transparent electrode targets are prepared from the oxides and nitrates as the source materials, and their properties are characterized. The selected compositions were $In_2O_3:Ga_2O_3:ZnO$ = 1:1:2, 1:1:6, and 1:1:12 in mole ratio based on oxide. As revealed by X-ray diffraction analysis, calcination of the selected oxide or nitrides at $1200^{\circ}C$ results in the formation of $InGaZnO_4$, $InGaZn_3O_6$, and $InGaZn_5O_8$ phases. The 1:1:2, 1:1:6, and 1:1:12 oxide samples pressed in the form of discs exhibit relative densities of 96.9, 93.2, and 84.1%, respectively, after sintering at $1450^{\circ}C$ for 12 h. The $InGaZn_3O_6$ ceramics prepared from the oxide or nitrate batches comprise large grains and exhibit homogeneous elemental distribution. Under optimized conditions, IGZO multicomponent ceramics with controlled phases, high densities, and homogeneous microstructures (grain and elemental distribution) are obtained.
